I think Kumo is really great for what it is — excellent cost performance. The sushi rolls are good for how much you’re paying, and the hibachi station has pretty good ingredients like squid and shrimp that are included in the AYCE price. As someone noted I this j the dessert selection is not the most plentiful I’ve ever seen but there isn’t too much to complain about and I go a decent amount when I’m home. Pretty good location and I’ve always been able to find parking as well.

Nice place with good price. A lot oyster and crab leg. And no need to fight for it. Haha

Want sushi, but the kids don’t like raw? Come here. They have good sushi(not great), and they also have lots of other dishes on a hot table and a made to order grill as well. This place doesn’t blow me away, but it’s solid and I’ve been there many times.

This place wasn’t any good. I had the chicken hibachi and the chicken was cubed shaped and didn’t have any flavor to it. And it was too much of it! Our waiter was also not very nice and never came over to ask how the food was.

Sorry but $ 18.99 per person, for cold rice, just some sushi, and other plain food. Go to the buffet in bridgeport.

Fantastic food!!! Service could be a bit better, and green tea should be complimentary, but otherwise, the BEST Asian buffet I’ve been to in the Tri-State!

Everything about this place is bad. I was really excited about this place as it looked good from outside. But the food was really bad. Worst sushi ever. Hibachi was tasteless. I Do not recommend fellow Unilocalers to try this place

Nice clean hibachi place. The food the chef cooked for me was excellent. The rest of the buffet was good too. Get there before 12 to get the $ 10 lunch special.

Big sushi/sashimi fan and I must say that the food here is good. Food: Good food, not great, but good, better than average. There are a decent selection of maki to choose from, though it lacks«special rolls» that other sushi buffet restaurants offer. Also, they do not have too many sushi and sashimi. They usually only put out salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and white tuna, and thats it for sashimi. Then they have the same selection, but with rice for the sushi. Some assortments of hot food, and a selection of Teppanyaki though they try to pass it off as legitimate hibachi. Overall, good, but lacks quality. Good for price.

Love the spacious place. Service is friendly and attentive, sister ordered a cup of greentea, and they keep refilling her cup-only charged for $ 1. The lunch buffet is filling and we like the habachi grill, the veggies and meat(Steak) are so fresh! The fried sections are very well done, not mushy or overly oily, thin crust around the calamari and fried white fish/spring rolls. Sushi are pretty good too, its well worth it. The only part we don’t really find it impressive is the dessert section, icecream are not very good, greentea icecream does not have any matcha taste, the almond cookies are stale… Parking is free — !

For all-you-can-eat-sushi, it’s the best place in Stamford I’ve been to because my preference in salmon sashimi & they have plenty and they make it all in front of you. They have all the usual rolls and sashimi, Chinese takeout buffet and hibachi. They also have raw oysters & others shellfish(didn’t try it, but it’s there). Relaxed atmosphere. Decent price. It’s more relaxed than sushi x but with sushi x you order for yourself and can get special rolls and they make it especially for you. Depends on what you’re going for.

So never in a million years did I think I would visit a sushi buffet and now I keep going back — the quality of the fish is definitely high and I am a big fan of their inventive maki rolls. The first time here I actually stuck around only the cold food bar and to my surprise on the second trip I «discovered» the hot food buffet which was equally delicious. Definitely a great bang for your buck and clean restaurant — nothing über fancy but consistency is king!

I came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 7pm, and found the place pretty empty but with enough patrons to convince me to stay. The AYCE sushi bar was, unsurprisingly, mostly rolls, but they did have some nigiri and sashimi as well as seaweed salad, fruit, shrimp, and kimchi. + AYCE sushi for $ 18.99 = awesome + Sushi was fine-to-good. It’s certainly not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely not the worst, either. Pretty good wasabi, too. + Seaweed salad was actually really good. — Kimchi was NOT good, but that’s minor. + Free garage parking for customers. There’s also a hibachi bar and a dessert bar, but I didn’t try either of them so can’t include them in my review.

I went here with a friend for lunch on a Sunday. The lunch prices are pretty decent considering that you can eat to your heart’s content. The sushi portion was meh, there was a lot of rice and not enough filling. I did enjoy their hot buffet and their shrimp section. Their cold shrimp was pretty fresh and I did eat my fair share of shrimp. As for the décor, it’s a really pretty buffet. It’s a nice place to bring your friends and family.

$ 23 all you can eat dinner. Wide selection of sushi with some limited sashimi variety. Hibachi grill is also available. Lots of Chinese dish selections too. A lots of choices for everyone.

The food is very good, and the selection is really very expansive. There were a few reasons to give only a 3-star rating, all related to service: We arrived at 8:30PM for dinner on Friday, July 3rd. When we entered, the chalkboard pricing sign had a *Special Holiday Price* making the buffet several dollars more expensive than a normal night. That doesn’t really seem right on any level. Today isn’t the holiday, tomorrow is. Also, it’s American Independence Day that we’re celebrating. Why should this cause the price of my Japanese buffet dinner to rise??? While we were eating, a girl came by with a cart and took the soy sauce from the table stating, «I need to clean it.» OK… That was it. The soy sauce disappeared. At the end of the evening, she came out with a cart filled with«clean» topped-off soy sauce bottles for tomorrow. That really irritated me. After eating all the pre-hibachi dishes we wanted, we made it over to the hibachi station for our main course. When I got there, there was no steak left, so I asked the guy if there was any more. He gave me a dirty look and then brought out some more steak. Rude! Also, every time I needed water, I had to put out an APB for the waitress. This became annoying. I am eating hot peppers, kimchi and all sorts of the spiciest foods available and I have to beg for water? Even though the food is good, and I liked everything I ate, I probably won’t go back because of the service experience I had. A lot of it may be cultural to a degree, but as they say, «when in Rome…» Parking is a problem! On a closing note, if you leave here hungry or not feeling like you got your money’s worth, you have a problem!

Great sushi spot in Stamford frequented by my friends and I. Go for the sushi and hibachi lunch buffet. Good selection with quality ingredients. As part of the buffet special you also have access to the hot foods section — my favorites are the fried calamari rings and the small bits of ribs. In addition there is also a dessert section with a selection of ice cream flavors and other treats. Very good value for money, great for groups, very clean and presentable venue with consistently high quality food. Try it you won’t be sorry.

Delicious sushi buffet for a deliciously cheap price. Large variety of food which includes hibachi, ice cream and sashimi. Great for large groups. Food is very delicious and well done. Couldn’t ask for a better deal for well made food at a very affordable price. Location is prime because it’s next to the station and has parking in the back. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. Bathroom is just as nicely done and is spotless and odorless.
