The best customer service than any other Asian business. The food is outstanding. We order the beef &chicken platter with side order of crispier veggie tempura… the bomb. Miso soup hot perfect.

Came here with a friend about a week ago to try it out. Service here was great, had no issues at all. The rolls here are also delicious, has a more authentic maki taste to the rolls than other places that give off an amerianized flavor.

Where to start… this place makes my day. Great service and they always remember my order before I even am at the counter. The owner isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and makes some sushi! Smiles all around and people are regulars for a reason. Maki Roll, lobster roll, Washington, Philly, alllllll good. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

I’m totally in love with this place. Baked lobster roll, crunch roll and dynamite roll are really amazing. Dynamite is not spicy as noted on the menu. Udon is good too. Combo of udon with 2 tempura n 4 crunch rolls always makes me stuff. Small place, just a few tables but it’s not crowded even at weekend night(I came on one Friday night and expected to wait for the table but only one table was occupied at that time). Maybe ppl prefer to-go(I saw many togo orders everytime I stopped by). The male waiter is really nice(trust me, you wont hestitate to give tips for his serve). I’ll definitely come back soon.

Came for the first time for lunch… this place is kind of small by roomy enough for a quick bite. I tried their special, It’s the one with teriyaki chicken bowl and like 4 Crunch rolls. The rolls were tasty but wasn’t impressed with their bowl. I will definitely come back to but will stay away from the Teriyaki dishes and go straight for the kill on some of their long list of rolls. They seem to be their main attraction.

My girlfriend and I stopped by on the way to a party on a Saturday evening for a quick bite prior to going to a party! Wow! Service was amazing and the food was even better! My GF got the # 96 Salmon and Scallop roll and got Chicken and Tempura! Both were the best!

I discovered this place accidentally. We were going to grab lunch at El Pollo Loco but decided Japanese sounded better! Upon entering, I was taken a back at the size of the Menu! WOW… talk about choices! It had everything seaweed noodles to soups to sushi! I ordered the noodle bowl and they gave me 4 spicy tuna roll. It was delicious!!! Pricing was very reasonable, less than 12 $ for sushi dishes. Oh em gee! We are visiting from Dallas and wished that they had these types of places there. I’ll be back before we leave California! This place rocks!

Ever come across those articles with Pinterest expectations vs Reality?( ) This seemed to be what happened when I came in yesterday to pick up a quick little dinner for take out. I ordered the Jessica Roll and the 8 piece sushi. I didn’t have high expectations to begin with, but once I opened up the box… my Jessica Roll was a total fail(hence the Pinterest analogy). It was so sad, I didn’t even care to take a picture for Unilocal.Freshness of the fish was okay, but it wasn’t even a satisfying meal. I’ve ordered from Maki Yaki(different location) years ago, and the quality seemed pretty up to par. But after last night, Maki Yaki, to me, is now considered the McDonald’s of sushi.

I should have known not to expect anything out of this world from Maki Yaki. The combo meal(bento box) was decent, though I am completely blanking on what it came with… I think a few pieces of sushi, tempura and CA rolls? But the rolls here are not inventive at all… everything was the same old bland CA roll with sauce on top that smothered all chance of eating anything that tasted like fish(I tried two different ones side by side and couldn’t tell the difference). I thought I was saving a few $$ going here but the saying goes, you get what you pay for. It was a disappointment.

I give this place 4 stars for huge portions for such a cheap price! I ordered 2 rolls. Rainbow Roll, and Crunchy Roll. They really stuffed the sushi, I got full after one roll! This is a good place for quick sushi! The cashier lady is polite and kind, looks like she enjoys her job. I would come back here again.

In between Lee’s Sandwich and Alerto’s. Small little place, but I wanted to try a new and quick sushi place not to far from the BF’s house. Bad choice on my part! Walked in and seated ourselves since no one was really there… it seems more like a take-out kind of place since that’s what most people were doing. What we got: 8 Piece Sushi w/California Roll & Crunch Roll($ 13.25): comes with miso soup, 4 piece California Roll, 4 piece Crunch Roll, and 2 pieces each of salmon, tuna, shrimp, and red snapper nigiri. None of them tasted all that fresh actually… miso soup didn’t even have any tofu in it. The California Roll and Crunch Roll were super thick cuts and tasted like how they should. Salmon was good. Tuna didn’t taste fresh and looked weird because it was like stringy. Shrimp is shrimp. Red snapper had weird texture. 12 Piece Sushi($ 13): comes with miso soup, 3 pieces each of salmon and red snapper nigiri, and 2 pieces each of shrimp, albacore and tuna nigiri. Somehow the tuna looked fresher than what I had on my plate… Service: Friendly and fast, but sorry… I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place anymore even if it’s close…

Rolls range from $ 6-$ 9. It is definitely made to fresh. I got the tempura california roll and the salmon tempura roll. Both were delicious, portions were filling, and service was great. Food arrived no more than like 10 minutes. Plus you get complimentary miso soup :-)
