Really sad to hear that this place is closed. I used to eat at this place every weekend for years. The owner was one of the nicest people i’ve ever met! The food was good but the service is what kept bringing me back… with loads of friends. There used to be several car meets when Super Autobacs was around which usually led me to recruiting all my friends to load up the restaurant. Unfortunately when Super Autobacs went down so did the Red Robin in that parking lot. I figured it was only a matter of time until this awesome place would have to close it’s door due to cost of staying in that huge lot. I remember the owner telling me that it was way expensive to stay there too so even she knew it was only a matter of time… …really sucks, another great place gone :(

Closed =( Yuki Sushi was our weekly Friday night dinner — my version of «Cheers.» I loved the food there & the people. With rising food costs, less customers, a dead plaza and increased rent, they decided to close down. I hope Tracy decides to open up somewhere else!

I went here last night with my gf and cousin, the food was delicious! Our Salmon was fresh and the Soft Shell crab appetizer was yummy! Our server Esa was absolutely fantastic! I live in LA, but this will definitely be a frequent stop every time I’m in OC :) O! Don’t forget to order their Green Tea Tempura Ice cream! mmmhmm!

Love the complementary soup and salad and watermelons cut in the shape of hearts. Comp salad is the best I have had in any sushi joint. I lady in charge here is a doll, she’s funny and always has me cracking up every time I come here. Try the rainbow roll, it will make you smile. And to finish off your meal try the fried green tea ice cream… nom nom

I’m a fan of this sushi restaurant not only because of their food, but because of their service as well. Every time I’ve gone here, it wasn’t too crowded and I was seated right away. They offer combinations for lunch and dinner with different items you can choose from. And you get edamame, soup, and salad. Their specialty rolls are good, too. I recommend the Ono special :) At the end of your meal, you get watermelon slices in heart shapes, really cute!

What!!! Where’s my review??? I know I’ve reviewed this place! I discovered it way before it became super popular, before they served alqui! Tracy’s my gal! W/E! A++ for deliscious creativity with the Tempura Tortilla roll! Their sashimi salad is great, that’s my usual during lunch. Very tasty and a good mix of sashimi.

Oh good sushi, how I have missed thee! California is the place to be. After some fun at Dave & Buster’s for my friend’s birthday, we headed over to Yuki Sushi which is one of the favorite sushi places of one of my friends. We got some of the free edamame and miso soup to start off the evening. The miso soup was pretty good with actual soft tofu bits. The first roll we grabbed was the Hot Night Roll which was shrimp tempura, cucumber, and crabmeat on the inside with spicy tuna and crunch on the outside. It was pretty dang good. The spiciness caught me a little off-guard there because I wasn’t expecting it to be so quick to heat. However, it worked quite well for the roll, and the tuna was very fresh. The crunch was scrumptious! I enjoyed this roll a lot more than the other one we got(though it was good too). The second roll was the Crunch Dragon Roll which actually had the same inside as the Hot Night Roll but the outside was fresh water eel. I think I only didn’t like this roll as much as the first because the generous chunks of eel overpowered the other tastes. Whereas the Hot Night Roll had a bit of zing to it from the spiciness that gave way to the inside, the Crunch Dragon Roll was mainly eel-y. Nothing against eel — it was a good roll too. I’d recommend it to those who like large chunks of eel! Dessert was a must here. The tempura ice cream at Yuki is phenomenal! We snagged ourselves a green tea tempura ice cream; I always must commend them on presentation of their dessert. I also have to give a thumbs up to how they get the right balance between a crunchy hot tempura shell and superbly frozen ice cream. I mean, the ice cream is not melty from the shell’s heat nor is it frozen solid as an «easy way out» for the making of the dessert. The ice cream is very creamy and smooth as well. Another satisfied dinner at Yuki!

A friend and I didn’t know where we wanted to go for dinner Saturday night — so thanks to Unilocal,we found another place where we enjoyed a great meal and experience. This small restaurant is in this strip mall that is basically dead. Even the Vietnamese restaurant was already closed and we got there by 6. No problem though — just translated into tons of parking. When we walked in, there was only one party in the whole place. Had me a little concerned but I held onto my faith of my fellow Unilocalers. The service was great. Attentive and friendly. I even witnessed one of their staff sit with a take out order customer and go over the menu with her. Refills without asking and prompt service when asking for things like extra wasabi or subsequent rounds/orders. Food was pretty good too. We ordered the Sashimi combo and the popcorn lobster roll. The Sashimi was pretty thick cuts which is always a good thing and the lobster was cooked just right — not overdone which would dry the meat out. We picked up a Sunset roll which wasn’t my cup of tea as I don’t care for soft meaty mango — I like them unripened but it went okay with the spicy tuna. The ice cream was a hit with my friend. She said she’s never seen a serving as big for only $ 2. It wasn’t too frozen or melting so she was tickled pink that she could enjoy every bite. To me, ice cream is ice cream as long and as long as it’s cold, I’m happy. We didn’t pay cash as I didn’t read the reviews beforehand — I just went with the ratings — so we didn’t get the 5% discount. No worries though as the bill wasn’t too bad for how much food we had. It was such a hit with my friend that she wants to go back again and again — and even just to have dessert. It’s close by so I’m sure we’ll definitely be back!

The first time we ate at this place, we ordered it to go. This time, we decided to dine it. That was a GOODCHOICE. Service: Outstanding. Our waitress was extremely attentive and even held our young son when he was acting up. There was only one other table eating, and we were there around 5:30PM on a Thursday. Food: Fresh and the portions were good, too, which is rare at a sushi place. We ordered rolls only. Price: I’m poor teacher, so I complain about the price on everything. lol But honestly, it’s not bad. It ain’t cheap either. My recommendation: the Oishi roll. Unless you don’t like cucumbers. Instead of the nori(seaweed wrap), they wrapped tuna and crab inside thinly sliced cucumber. Maybe I’m a country bumpkin, but I’ve never had anything quite like this. It was SOREFRESHING.

I was NOT a fan of this joint and was really disappointed since my fellow Unilocalers gave it a solid 4.5 stars. I would give it a 1 but the service was quite nice. Maybe I didn’t order the right things but the sushi pieces were small and everything we ordered was pretty much the same thing. Plus, they were out of Uni when I went and that was really the reason to be dining at a Japanese restaurant that night. Then to top it all off, I got sick after.

My wife and I usually eat here every other week when she has her nail appointment in the same plaza. I walk over the plaza when her appointment is done, we wonder over to Yuki Sushi, and then drive back. I don’t write updates for a restaurant unless I’ve tried something new that I hadn’t covered in previous reviews. After seeing Fia R’s picture of the«Popcorn Lobster Roll» I knew I had to try it during my next visit! Wow… Thank you Fia! It was delicious! You basically get a California roll which has been drizzled with teriyaki sauce. This is then topped with a mound of deep fried baby lobster, fish roe, and radish sprouts. On the side of the plate is some spicy mayo based sauce. It’s $ 9.85 and worth the price. The lobster was cooked perfectly leaving the morsels nice and tender. The sauces went perfectly and it’s definitely something I’d order again. Not realizing how filling the lobster roll would be I also ordered a tamago sushi and a shrimp sushi. Both very tasty. Another new dish I’ve had over the last few visits is the sesame chicken. It’s so frickin addicting. It’s deep fried pieces of dark meat with sesame seeds mixed in with the batter. It’s served with a spicy teriyaki sauce to dip the pieces in. It’s so good!!!

I think I found a new sushi love… and it would be Yuki Sushi! hehe My friends and I decided to give this place a try after scanning Unilocal for a sushi place near garden grove that we hadn’t tried yet, and came across this one. The first time we went here we decided to try the Hawaiian Roll, the Spider Roll, gyoza, seaweed salad, the baked salmon roll, salmon sashimi, and the tempura california roll. Everything was yummy! an added bonus was free miso soup, edamame and salad! :) OH! and a particular highlight was that the salmon sashimi was super fresh and tasty! that night we also got to try some fresh wasabi that was made… sooo good!!! Make sure you ask and see if they have some! hehe The place is small so it might get packed if they get busy so just be patient. I’d say this place is worth the wait!

Sushi!!! It’s been sooo damn long since I’ve eaten you! My friends & I ate here on a rainy night, which was worth the slippery journey thanks to one of them who suggested this place even before I knew the name – & I realized that this was one of my Unilocal bookmarks, heeh. Regardless of what we ordered, we got complimentary Miso Soup & Salad. Again, for some odd reason, as long as the greens are fresh, Asian salads, in general, are somehow ALWAYS yummy to me – which is great here, nonetheless. The soup here was one of the best, w/a bit more helpings of those silky tofu cubes & fun-sized nori that one of my friends decided to surrender her Miso Soup to me as my seconds. Now came the main courses that I have tried, fyi: Popcorn Lobster Roll($ 9.85), Baked Lobster Roll($ 9.85), Rainbow Roll($ 8.85), & Special Yellowtail Roll(my pick at $ 10.85). 1st of all, I find it so totally, incredibly freakin’ awesome that, as legit sushi, there’s much more fish inside than the rice outside on all the rolls ordered: D. The baby lobster in both popcorn & baked version were very tasty & had the beautifully rich, flaky yet meaty texture. One of my friends stated that Rainbow Rolls are his #1 sushi pick, & when he permitted me to try one roll(yellowtail on top), mMmMm – & that’s all you need to know from that. And what about my Special Yellowtail Roll? Aside from that lovely proportion, although it was happily drizzled w/butter oil(I suspect), the fish on top easily melted in my mouth =), eliciting that wonderfully luscious yellowtail flavor, while the red, spicy tuna inside also melted & gave a very delightful oomph of hotness. All of us became full, but we bravely managed to consume & share the Banana Tempura Ice Cream($ 5.50). I’m glad that the vanilla ice cream was cold enough to mitigate the hot temperature coming from this sumptuous, comforting fried banana pieces, along w/the fresh strawberries, w/o being both soggy & too sweet. Hmm, I wonder how the one w/green tea ice cream tastes. Honestly I had an internal battle between 4&5 stars; I am for sure a fan, but was it more than that? And after contemplating from this experience… ahh dang it, fine. Compared to every sushi restaurant I’ve eaten & reviewed, the amalgamation of the exquisitely FRESH fish & seafood, the quantity, the value, & service greatly affected my rating. Besides, for a pretty unfamiliar town, Stanton, for the common folk, Yuki Sushi is one true local gem. No wonder my buddies were so excited to eat here; unfortunately on their last visit the sushi joint was already closed lol. Please note: either have cash ready or get a least $ 10 worth if you’re gonna use credit card.

i came in with another person and ordered the baked lobster and stanton roll(spicy tuna roll with salmon on top). both were not very good. the baked lobster was overcooked and was super dry(almost crispy). it was a waste of lobster. the stanton was mediocre, nothing special. this place displays their food well, knows how to make it pretty. but their food is not very good. i also dont like that its so small that we were basically sitting by the kitchen. too bad there isnt many sushi places in the area or i would go somewhere else.

Yuki Sushi is probably the only thing of worth in a wasteland of a shopping plaza in Stanton. Almost everything else has literally gone out of business. Cheap, sushi, and Stanton. Normally not words that would illicit a positive response but I’d have to give this quaint little shop a 3.5 stars. Came here at about 5 and got seated immediately. Service, as expected, was stellar. We got our free miso soup, salad and edamame. My ladyfriend doesn’t eat sushi so I just got her some crunchy rolls and udon to appease her appetite. For myself I ordered some yellowtail nigiri, smelt egg, sweet shrimp, a philadelphia roll for filler and a salmon skin hand roll for dessert. I thought about everything but the salmon skin roll was fairly average. The yellowtail actually bummed me out. I like hamachi and unfortunately it fell short here. The nigiri was served very cold and it was definitely off-putting. It also wasn’t as buttery soft as I would’ve liked. Pass. The salmon skin hand roll on the other hand was a thing of beauty. Filled generously with golden brown strips of crispy salmon skin, fried ever so delicately to preserve the perfect amount of fat. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Lunch for two came out to about $ 60 with tax and tip. I intentionally ordered a lot though and we got the 5% discount for paying with cash. I suspect the special rolls here are the stars of the show and unfortunately I’m not a big fan of those. The salmon skin hand roll is certainly newsworthy but I’d be wary of the nigiri sushi. Even so, still probably the best sushi spot in Stanton.

I’ve been here a LOT of times. First time was for my birthday with my Godmother, and ohhh boy – that Crazy Tracy lady is hilarious. Everyone’s really nice too – servers, host, chef. They even surprised me with a birthday dessert – greentea ice cream monster with fruits and a really pretty candle. I love how they make everything so beautifully! I’ve tried many rolls here… Oishi Roll, Philadelphia, Baked Lobster, Spider, Dynamite, and just so many I can’t quite remember. Rolls are good, but not the best I’ve had – for Stanton, I’d say it’s the best I’ve tried in this city though. I’ve also tried the 2 item dinner combo meal. It was DELICIOUS. I believe we got the teriyaki chicken and bbq ribs. They always give soup, salad, and edamame too – those are always nice… they put the cherry on top by giving fruits at the end of the meals! Yeahhhh, I’d have to say everything I’ve had here tastes pretty good! +1 star Awesome service, especially Crazy Tracy +1 star Yummy food +1 star Pretty food +1 star free bday dessert… and if it’s not your birthday, you get free fruits anyways! –1 star Not the best place I’ve ever tried, and it’s a pretty small place that isn’t very pretty or huge group friendly

Came last night to get the vanilla icecream banana fried tempura. Wait was 15 minutes. Sat there and watched the sushi chef. Two waiters had to be reminded to assist us twice by the chef. When i got my ordered I got green tea ice cream not vanilla. I was hoping they were going to do the cute smiley but I guess that’s for dining IN only. The banana fried tempura was soft. Had no texture what so ever. When are you going to prove me wrong?

I am a definite fan of Yuki Sushi! The restaurant is quaint and small, tucked away in the plaza that houses Super Autobacs, or whatever it is called now. Friendly service — it was great walking in with my brother, since he and his gf have become friends with the owner. First, I have to say I was impressed with the level of service we got right when we sat down. The waitress took our drink order, and I had the green tea. She immediately brought out edamame, miso soup and a small cucumber salad for us to munch on, and the owner came over to greet us and we had a nice conversation. So many restaurants call their rolls different names, so I really appreciated how intuitive the menu was, with a photo of all the different«specialty rolls,» AND a description of what was«In» the roll and what was«Out»(on top of the roll.) Between the two of us, my brother and I ordered the following and we both agreed that everything was delicious! * Calamari Tempura * Crunch Roll(Shrimp tempura roll) * Spicy Tuna Roll * Spider Roll(soft-shell crab) * Baked Lobster roll(baked lobster on top of a California roll) * Green tea ice cream with banana tempura We didn’t go too adventurous with the types of rolls, and stayed with what we know to be tried and true, but I was impressed with the care the sushi chef took to prepare the rolls — especially since we were sitting at the sushi bar and watching his every move. I highly recommend Yuki Sushi(even as a novice sushi eater) and can’t wait to return!

Added the last star as I went back again, ordered the same Sashimi Combo + Salmon Roll and I felt fine after :) Again, it was yummy, and service was excellent. My hot tea was complimentary again, and she even gave an extra bowl of rice on the house since she had forgotten the first time. Didn’t order dessert this time as we were too full, but we’ll definitely come back again!

We ordered the same as before but we added the Spider Roll which was fantastic! Not too oily or heavy on the batter and the taste of the crab was light and sweet. Reservation was set for 10 people and 16 showed! They didn’t bat and eye and they kept our glasses full and our orders straight. Bills were distributed with astounding organization and accuracy and all the while, Aileen was humble in our compliments for her five-star service and said she wished she could have done more.
