Food is just okay but the service is terrible. Last time I went there there was only one person taking orders and he also had to serve the orders too. That meant the food started piling up and was sitting getting cold before he could have time to serve them to people. One woman only cared about cleaning the restrooms but refused to help even though customers were starting to pile up, why don’t you clean the place when it is less crowded?! Then there were two other women just walking around doing nothing even though the poor cashier needed help!

I, my wife, and my little pop tart all ordered Yoshinoya Salmon Bowls for $ 5.8 each in Stanton Yoshinoya. When we ordered, we specifically said«no mayo» to cut the extra fat(we don’t like mayo anyway), however when the waitress gave it to us, our bowls still come with mayo. So we said to her«we said that we didn’t want mayo» and the waitress immediately took back our bowls without any complaints, so kudos for that. To our surprise, they make the dishes again from scratch instead of just scraping off the mayo like some other restaurants that we visited before, so more kudos for them, although this does make us wait twice as much longer, but at least they took our complaint seriously. The dish itself is nice since we can put chili as much as we like and I also add some pink gingers to add more flavours to the dish. The salmon is crispy and the vegetables is not too salty nor oily so I suppose it’s quite a light and healthy dish that is very suitable when you don’t want to eat too heavy before sleeping. Yoshinoya’s motto is «Tasty, low-priced, and quick»:{ For everyone that does not know the history of this establishment this chain was first established in Japan on 1899. More to come.

First and foremost, right when I walked in the store(1÷22÷16 | 3:27pm) I heard yelling, I thought it was the customers but NO it was the lady in the back scooping rice &SADLY she is the MANAGER of the store she’s the Asian lady wearing blue and I believe her name was Cladina from what I remembered. Treating both customers and employees with respect is huge representation of how a store is brought up & it’s clear the Manager doesn’t know the definition of professionalism! I’d like to point out how this manager was treating her employees! It was so unnecessary to treat her coworkers like TRASH, I only saw 3 people on the floor working one of them was Maria and the other was a male. Maria(shift lead) was doing her best to help all the customers and putting them first while taking orders(that’s what your suppose to do) but in the back the manager was yelling at her employees to work faster & there was only 5 people in the store! Like seriously what is your issue! I’d get it if the store was busy & I’d see why she’s acting up but still that’s no excuse! I rather have my order the right way instead of coming back and you guys redoing my order that goes for you Cladina! Maria was doing just fine while she was taking orders no customer likes to be rushed! On the other hand the male that was washing the pantries also got yelled at by the manager for whatever the reason was but like oh my gosh lady relax these people are not your gosh damn slaves! You may have the title as a «Manager» but you are nothing in the real world with your personality! The manager of the store needs to get fired or DEMOTED& being Asian I get it they scream a lot and are very hot tempered but really… It is not NECESSARY to treat your employees like garbage INFRONTOFCUSTOMERS. I was so disgusted by her attitude. Cladina needs to get a reality check and see how she would like it if she’s being yelled at! No wonder this store is hiring I wouldn’t be surprised if employees quit on the spot or fled away like birds! So to end my review food wise this place is definitely a hit or miss, I ordered the the Large half and half orange chicken /beef & veggie plate and my portions very small. I guess it depends where you go because other Yoshinoya places I have gone to put a whole lot more on your plate. I also order a large beef and teriyaki bowl with veggies & the portions were tiny. Make your money’s worth go to a different location.

Go here if you want to have the employee MARGARETA play on her phone instead of answering your questions. Really disappointing. Had to return the food because it was so misleading and then fought with the employee over if she was on her iphone or not. So sad. Food looked not too shabby either.

I love Yoshinoya but this place is a hit or miss. I always order the beef bowl no veggies. It’s my favorite and everytime I order the chicken it just never tasted right, so I play it safe and stick with the beef. Food is your typical Yoshinoya taste always taste the same it’s just that depending who the cook is it tastes a little bit better. The only reason we eat here is #1 convenience and #2 and change from the usual fast food burger trips.

We need our ginger bar back. How can these employees be so stingy with the ginger when the company doesnt care about them. When I use to work at a fast food restaurant, I was always giving extra sauce and napkins and did not care once about what the company would think because I knew this job wasnt my life. Also, when you order a bowl, its more like 90% rice and 5% meat 5% veggies. I am never coming back here. Everyone needs to start migrating to Teri-Go on Katella & Knott! Thats my go to spot now for what I pay for!

My husband and I have loved Yoshinoya since we lived in the San Fernando Valley in CA, once we moved to Las Vegas we were so pleased to find one here in town off Maryland Prkwy we were used to going in and the red ginger had always been self serve until recently. We were there for lunch last weekend and noticed the ginger was all in the fridge behind the counter in very small plastic containers, we love this stuff and the girl behind the counter was being so thrifty with them. We couldn’t have more than 2 each, I told her that we wouldn’t be back anymore. I feel Yoshinoya makes more than enough money at their restaurants and shouldn’t be so tight with the extra ginger people like to put on their food. We miss this place but my husband refuses to go back and fight with the girl for more ginger. Good luck Yoshinoya, I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I’ve loved Yoshinoya for a long time and was pleased to find one by my new location! Went in to pick up lunch for my co-workers and myself. I was lucky not to encounter a long line since I arrived around 11:55 am. I was warmly greeted by Daniela. She was very nice and answered some questions I had about the menu. I asked for extra ginger for my co-workers and she said it was fine. When I got back to work my co-workers were disappointed that they didn’t get their ginger. I felt bad, it can be upsetting when you’re hungry and you don’t get what you asked for, so I called Yoshinoya and asked if I could go back to pick it up. I was lucky to get Daniela on the phone, and she was very kind and apologized for the inconvenience. When I went back I was happy to have the bag of ginger ready for me to pick up. GREATCUSTOMEREXPERIENCE. THANKYOUDANIELA!!! I will be sure to return. The food was great, wouldn’t expect anything less.

The food here is the worst. I tried the rice, veggies, and chicken. It was all disgusting tasting. I hate to give 1 stars, but everything including price and service was bad here. I only gave it one chance, but that is all I need to make up my mind. Save your money, and get a better quality chicken at Del taco down the street.

This place is a joke. Employees are tattooed from head to toe have no customer service experience. I asked for extra veggies and no rice I got chicken and a a very small amount of veggies after paying for extra. I asked politely to get extra veggies he said that he put extra veggies and refused even charging me additional again for a little more. Employee attitudes are extremely bad here. I live close and will be steering clear of this place forever. Also seems to me like employees are all ex convicts or current convicts. Interior was very dirty and smelled moldy. Look for yourself but the place is straight run down.

Same plaza as the 7⁄11 and Phở Lam Son. Parking is horrible during the lunch rush. So I thought people didn’t go to Yoshinoya anymore… but there was quite a lot of people in there. Plenty of tables to eat there. What I got: Combo Bowl($ 6.25): comes with teriyaki chicken, beef, and steamed vegetables. Both the meats were good and had good flavor. Steamed vegetables were soft, but lacked flavor… so just had their soy sauce to it! Service: It didn’t seem like they go in order… I saw this man waiting for quite awhile even though he ordered before other people with the same order. Same with my order! Two parties after me got their food before I did. Wouldn’t come back without a coupon!

Lackluster proteins are served at Yoshinoya over dry rice. I gave Yoshinoya another try since I saw noodles are now available on a sign at one of their locations. This is not the case at this location. The chain specializes in bowls made of fatty beef and onions(similar to the meat in sukiyaki) served over rice. My sweetheart ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and said the sauce was«strange». I had the beef bowl. We were not impressed. The food was very lackluster. The rice was very dry and not sticky. The place had a lot of random processed foods for sale as «sides» including flan, cheesecake and coleslaw. The only real positive here was the unlimited pickled ginger available to add to the food in an attempt to make it palatable.

The cook closed down the grill over an hour early. He looked at his watch like they wanted to leave. I sent a complaint to the corporate office.

Not the greatest area by any means; very trashy, even saw prostitutes high on meth hanging out next to the building. If you can get past the surroundings, then give this Yoshinoya a try. The workers are nice and professional, the dining area and bathrooms are kept clean, the food tastes fresh and delicious, and their coupons offer amazing deals. I choose this Yoshinoya over the one on Harbor and Trask any day.

I used to know this guy that lived in New York City, but visited his family quite often in Los Angeles. Whenever, he came back to LA, he would buy beef bowls and freeze the meat without the rice. He would then transport the beef back to NYC, cause Yoshinoya doesn’t exist on the East Coast. Talk about an addict. Yoshinoya is one fast food chain that gets me EVERY time as well. It’s so bad for you, but we all gotta have certain vices in our lives and this is one of mine. Especially, the day after a night of drunken debauchery, all that grease and sodium really eases my sour stomach. Locations outside of LA are somewhat hard to find. This Stanton location doesn’t have a drive thru, but a decent sized dining area with good service. There’s a sizable amount of foot traffic that hits this place and I can’t blame them. The food is legit, but not something you want to eat everyday. LARGEBEEFBOWL I rarely get the chicken these days(sans the skin). I usually opt for extra onions and a side of beef juice to douse the parts of rice that lack flavor. Topped with steamed vegetables that have an eerie fluorescent color, along with a hefty amount of pepper — my mouth is already drooling, just thinking about it. I used to really hate the ginger, but now I can’t even eat the beef bowl without it. Sometimes, when I want to live dangerously, I add a side of Macaroni Salad and Clam Chowder Soup to my feast. It seems like a lot of food, but somehow it all fits in my tummy. Their Cheesecake is not too bad either. NICETOKNOWYA, YOSHINOYA!

An Abundance of Different variety all on one combo. The Yoshinoya serves a combo that I eat and would recommend. It includes meat, grilled chicken with BBQ sauce, vegetables, and a whole lot of rice covering underneath. The grilled chicken is a great water flavor with the delicious craving BBQ sauce on top of it and a flowing on top of the rice. The meat is thin and long for a craving amount of it that will fill you up with great happiness. Also it includes a overwhelmed flavor of steamed carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage leafs. This combo is all worth it for only $ 5.99! This is a great price for all the food that comes with it. The menu at Yoshinoya includes many different bowls. The bowls that they have are: Beef bowl or with vegetables, large or regular size teriyaki chicken bowl, and a BBQ style platter. Also you can make any bowl for a meal for just $ 2.99 that includes a drink and a side. In addition, they have a new plate that they recently just got; The new plate is the grilled Tilapia. It’s grilled white fish served with steamed rice, creamy coleslaw or vegetables and your choice of lemon garlic butter sauce or teriyaki sauce. Furthermore, they have craving cheese and chocolate cakes and some delicious flan.

Combo bowl with lots of veggies with lots of crushed peppers and ginger! Mmm my favorite :) Service is great and the cashier ladies are just too cute and always happy! My go to spot for cheap alternative fast food if I’m not craving hamburgers or tacos :) The only downside is that their portions are very small now :(
