I cannot come to state college without coming here to eat!!! We came here in 2011 with my GRANDAUGHTER during her one and only THON and it has become a tradition now to eat at Belle’s every trip to THON

First time having pizza here… stumbled into this joint after a night of drinking at the gaff. It was effing delicious. I’ll hafta come by when im sober to give more proper assessment but for not i thought the pizza was bomb. Btw, it was bout $ 2 – 2.5 a slice.

Their allure is that they deliver late, and aren’t too late, have good options and pretty good value. The downside is that not a lot of flavor. Pizza and grinder were very mediocre. The cheese on the pizza was strange and the gyro grinder had literally a single thin layer of gyro in this huge piece of bread. The Greek salad is all right but not great. I don’t know if I would try again since some things are forgivable but bad cheese on pizza, not so much.

I’ve ordered delivery several times(10+) in the last 2 years. Who can beat the 5−5−5 deal with a group of people so you can share? It started out great, but has gone downhill in the last 6 months. I’ve thought that some things were made differently depending on who is cooking, but now I know that they have also definitely changed the quality of ingredients. In relation to our last order: I loved the greek salad mainly due to the use of «good» lettuce(the nice dark greens and NO iceberg), but this last order was iceberg lettuce only. The tomatoes and the olives are definitely a lesser quality. The italian grinder — we couldn’t even decipher what meat was on it. The perogies were cold & dry and instead of tzatziki sauce they put in ranch dressing. The replacement order didn’t even include sauce at all. They used to be really tasty, tho! PRO: the customer service was very good — when I called to ask questions about the order and state my dissatisfaction, they were very accommodating and sent out replacements after assuring me that the order was not made correctly. CON: I received identically bad replacements. In general, I can say that about 70% of the time the wings are really great and I love them. But the other 30% of the time they were either not cooked enough(they should be crunchy, not flabby) or burnt. We’ve had their basic pizza(cheese, artichoke or pepperoni) and while it’s been pretty greasy a few times & burnt on the bottom once, about 75% of the time it’s really good. They use ALOT of cheese, which I like. So while I hate to say it, I think we need to take a(long) break, Bells’ Greek Pizza.

Good pizza if you order a whole fresh pie! Otherwise… Not so much. Pizza slices at counter seem old and stale. Customer service is terrible. Also I noticed that the people making the pizzas don’t wear gloves which kind of grosses me out.

This place is not that good. Their pierogies tasted fried, yet still soft and soggy which made for a weird chewy texture. The tatziki(sp?) sauce tasted more like ranch than anything, and don’t even get me started on the pizza. The sauce was good, but the crust was not and it was swimming in grease.

THECASHIERASKEDMEFOR A TIP This blew my mind. I stood at the counter, chose two slices. Employee put slices in oven, removed slices. Rang up slices, handed me bag and receipt. I confirm total and sign. «Excuse me, you skipped over the tip line!» I was so confused that I handed over $ 2, on my bill of $ 3. Since when do you tip cashiers? Bells, please get new management.

Easily the best pizza in state college Greek style pizza with very friendly staff. On more than one occasion they accommodated my request to have a half baked pizza to bring more than an hour away. Their prices are more than reasonable and they work as fast as they can at night, dealing with cavalcades of drunkards

Congratulations to Bell’s Greek Pizza for successfully emulating the taste of frozen pizza that was cooked half-way the night before and left out on the counter. Maybe a fresh pie is better, but the slices I had today were not great.

Good for Penn State pizza, not good compared to pizza outside of PSU. Stopped in around 9PM after arriving late on campus. It wasn’t too crowded and took about 10 minutes to get through the line. Pizza was dried out and a little too crunchy. Flavor was just OK in the BBQ chicken pizza and the buffalo wing pizza was respectable. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but if in town and looking for a quick bite, it gets the job done.

Bell’s is the best drunk pizza in town, but also pretty good sober pizza!

Bell’s represents probably the most unique pizza in State College. Everything about it is just special. From the almost entire inability to reheat it whatsoever, the odd crust, and the ability to cause a bowel movement within five minutes of consumption, it’s a damn unique piece of pie. In addition, it has to be eaten insanely fresh in order to actually circumvent said hurdles; in which case it becomes okay. In the same regard, I’ve never met Greeks so horrible at making spanikopita. It’s essentially feta, spinach, and phyllo. I don’t know how they screw it up. But they do.

At the occasion of yet another card game, we ordered two large pizzas and two dozen wings on Friday(Blue & White w/end) around 8PM. I was told on the phone at the time of ordering that it might take up to two hours for delivery, which was ok since we were busy taking each other’s money at poker. At around 10PM, Bell’s called to let us know they were out of wings, and asked whether we would like to cancel our order. No, we did not. At 10:45PM, I called Bells’ to ask where the hell our pizzas were, only to be told that«the driver was on his way and should be there in 5 – 10 min.» At 11:30PM, we called again, asking where the fuck our pizzas were NOW. We were told Bell’s had tried calling us 4 times(which is a bold-faced lie), and then THEYHUNGUPONUS. NOPIZZA, NOWINGS, NOFUCKINGWAY. NOTEVERDOINGBUSINESSWITHTHESEPEOPLE. EVER. AGAIN.

Four stars for when it’s fresh. ONE star for when it’s not. Don’t go in sober and order a slice of pizza in the case — it’ll be stiff, dry, and stale. Order a whole cheese pizza, and you won’t be disappointed. I think that their crust(when it’s fresh) is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s soft and flaky and buttery all in one. Yum! On a random side note — if you’re hanging out at The Brewery, they’ll let you leave and bring back some pizza. Bell’s is only half a block away so it’s a pretty convenient midnight snack, considering that The Brewery doesn’t offer any food for the drinking munchies.

When you want to relive your reckless college days you engage in reckless, lawless behavior, like all night binge drinking and eating a huge ass doughey, greasy, cheesey Greek pizza at 2am. Mission accomplished.

I went here again for a pretty good lunch of warm pizza with cheap prize. No improvement whatsoever. Pizza tasted pretty good, could be better if it was fresh and warm. I wonder if the pizza was freshly made today or was a leftover from the day before. The place was totally empty, I really wonder where they got their revenue from. Maybe during dinner and for delivery. It was still out of place and the person working there didn’t seem to care either. Well, this is going to be a place I will visit time to time just because the pizza tastes pretty good and it’s really cheap. Yes, it was still 1.25 for cheese, 1.50 for pepperoni, and 1.75 for the others. one best thing about this place, their ultra clean and squeaky restroom.

The mention of this place makes me want to vomit. The pizza is so, so disgusting beyond belief. I think the worst part about it is the crust. The texture is just really, really off, it has a kind of flaky, phyllo-like quality to it. I guess that shouldn’t be surprising considering it is «Greek» pizza, but to me it just doesn’t taste good, and the sauce is even worse. I can’t believe someone actually called this the best pizza in State College, although he did claim to be a fan of BBQ chicken and pineapple pizza, so I’m not too sure of his credibility. As someone who loves real, good pizza, trust me that there are several better options in town. As far as the other food, calzones are more edible than the pizza but still have that weird dough. Once I ordered pasta, big mistake. It was partially frozen? Such a gross experience, it just put me even more off of this place. I do like that they have tzatziki as a dipping sauce, but I’ve tasted much better(in other cheap establishments). The texture is watery. I guess Bell’s just doesn’t fit with what I think tastes«good» but the ingredients don’t seem fresh to me either(the frozen pasta!) so I’m not really sure what anyone sees in this place. I think these Greeks should just leave it to the Italians – this is an embarassment to pizza.

I have never been a fan of Greek Pizza; I always found the dough to taste a bit gross and to smell like stale beer. That’s why it took me a while to try Bell’s and thank god that I did. I love this place, hands down the best pizza in State College, it isn’t even worth arguing. Aside from the fact that they are open for two hours after all of the bars close, the pizza(and prices) are bangin’. The late-nite lines typically move fast and the delivery service is top notch. Ordering online is one of the greatest(and laziest) inventions known to man. You can pick from a huge array of toppings and plop them right onto a 10-inch pie. I recommend ordering(on-line delivery of course) the three 10-inch pies for $ 6 apiece. Go with the BBQ chicken, pepperoni and pineapple and spinach and feta cheese, trust me, it’s totally worth it.

I love this place. So much better quality pizza than Canyon or College for about the same price… maybe an extra buck for one of their fancier topped pies, but totally worth it! AND they are open late like those other joints. Late night munchies are thoroughly satisfied with a trip to Bell’s. YUM!
