Clean but small and worn rooms. Breakfast was ok; made to order French toast and omelet were very good. Fruit wasn’t ripe. Lobby could have been cleaner. Pricey for what you get.

I spent 2 nights here with my brother for a Rutgers Football game against PSU. Although the outcome of the game wasn’t quite to my liking(28 – 3 loss) the hospitality at this hotel was great. We arrived at about 8PM on a Friday night, and parking was readily available. Check-in was a breeze, and we took our bags down a hallway to the elevator and went to the first floor where our room was. The actual room was fairly nice, enough room for 2 guys and 2 seperate queen size beds. The bathroom was a little small and I did notice a tiny bit of mold in one of the vents which should be addressed. I take 1 star off the hotel because their complimentary WIFI was slow. Think AOL56K dial up slow. But we weren’t there to use WIFI and they had a paid option for $ 5.00 a day if you want more speed. The restaurant upstairs was excellent, especially for breakfast. At $ 10.99 it’s a steal, and includes a made to order omelette. The servers were friendly and sympathetic to the ass beating that our alma-mater received at the hands of their Nittany Lions. We booked this hotel 1 year out before the game and recommend you do similar if you want to see your favorite team in Happy Valley. The location is almost perfect. You can walk to town in 20 – 25 minutes, but you have to walk on the side of a highway style road, so that might not be for the feint of heart. They have a $ 5 shuttle you can take at most times. The stadium is also about 20 – 25 minutes by foot, but you have to walk over that same highway-esque road without a side walk. Overall, I recommend this hotel and if I couldn’t stay right in downtown by PSU, i’d return!

This hotel gets 2 stars because they moved us from a horrible room to a bearable one. The décor is seriously outdated, and the carpets are gross. The first room we were assigned smelled like someone had died in it. So we asked to check out and were offered a different room. It didn’t smell nearly as bad, so we stayed. It’s not the cleanest place. The beds were comfortable enough, but they have cheap scratchy sheets, and mine had little hairs stuck on them that weren’t mine. We are going to stay, but only because we prepaid for the room. If cancellation were more flexible we would switch hotels.

Out dated worn furniture. Stained carpet but pretty clean. Fair to good quality food for a hotel. Prompt room service if your to tired to go out for dinner. Overall rate it a 3 out of 5.

I was there recently for a conference. The staff were courteous even though my experience was somewhat iffy. First, they had given me the wrong room(I had made reservations ahead of time) then they double booked my room which had resulted in another hotel guest walking into my room. The Harrison Grill(hotel restaurant) had a malfunctioning ventilation system so a lot of menu selections were not available. If you are a swimmer I would swim elsewhere(try the PSU pool) as their swimming pool is pretty tiny — roughly 15 by 12 feet with 3 ft to 5 ft depth. Other than that, having a fridge and a microwave were a huge plus. I thought I had a pretty clean room and bathroom as well.

My room was clean and the staff was attentive to keeping the room clean and keeping me in towels.(I got a jacuzzi room which was great.) The worst thing in the room was the TV remote — it was not user-friendly. I do not recommend the restaurant, not even for breakfast. It is the poor quality of the restaurant that robs this business of one star and drops it from 4 stars to 3.

Found this to be a rather large, spotlessly clean hotel room equipped with micro and refrigerator, a rather nice spacious lobby and a restaurant rather better than average food.

I reviewed this place once before because it was a nice hotel, but after my experience last night I’m extremely dissatisfied. When I checked into my room at 10:30p. I discovered my a/c didn’t work. I immediately called the front desk and asked them for someone to fix it or to get a new room. No one could fix it nor could they give me a new room they said the hotel was full. It would have been nice to have even been offered some sort of Compensation or a simple apology. I got about 4:30 hours of sleep and was exhausted the rest of my day.
