We got a great couch at a great price. Delivery fee is fair and they brought it all the way in to our living room for us. Will be going back for our next furniture purchase!

This place has some really great furniture. I think the other reviewers must have a confused/deluded sense of how much furniture actually costs. Pete’s doesn’t sell items for dirt cheap because their items are good quality and in good condition. If you want cheap furniture, pick up the trash that college kids leave out on the side of the road. If you’re looking for good quality used furniture for an adult home, check out Pete’s. They can also deliver for a small fee if you don’t have access to a truck.

I was trying to buy a used couch. My bf and I walked around this store and saw the EXPENSIVE price tags. My bf asked the gentle man whether the price would be negotiable or not since the price was totally close to the brand new stuff. He responded unwelcomely and arrogantly the price is RARELY negotiable and some stuff are brand new. They should have taken«USED» away because the store name misleads some customers.

The prices are quite high, especially in the front of the store. Also, as a seasoned antique hunter, it’s a bad policy to not offer to haggle, especially if you’re buying multiple used items. I did buy a dresser/vanity from them, only because it perfectly matched a set of items I already had. Shipping is expensive(maybe $ 40+) and I only had it shipped 4 miles from the store. ALSO, he doesn’t offer to help you at all aside from taking it off the truck. If you want someone to help you, it’s 20 or 25 per person. I had friends take it into the apartment instead. Honestly, the quality is not always as good as just buying NEW furniture from Ashley. I have also bought pieces from Wolfe Furniture for similar prices. Also, check out the Antique Mall and the shops in Bellefonte. There is also a great place in Bellefonte which sells furniture refurbished by prisoners, that’s the best deal and all money goes to charity.

Extremely overpriced. Been here 3 times and each time i’ve been out the door in less than 5 minutes. You can buy brand new pole lamps cheaper than they sell them used here. I saw a bed(headboard, frame, mattress & box spring) on Craigslist for $ 400. Didn’t end up buying it. Pete’s must have bought it from the seller– & now has it for sale for $ 725 for the headboard/frame & $ 275 for the mattress/boxspring. I have no idea how this place stays in business. I’ve never seen anyone buy anything.

I’ve been here twice now and walked out within five minutes. The moment you walk in is very exciting if you’re hunting for furniture, because you’ve walked in there under the pretense that the furniture will be reasonably priced(after all, it is used.) But take a closer look.(Don’t try this if you have a heart condition or anxiety disorder though.) The prices are astronomical, and, honestly, totally unreasonable(especially since they take the furniture off of peoples’ hands for cheap/free.) For example, they are currently selling several used Target bookshelves, sold new at $ 30(very cheaply made with a cardboard backing) for $ 65-$ 100+. If you need used furniture, I recommend Goodwill or Craigslist. Unless you’re super rich, avoid this place at all costs.
