My girlfriend and I dined here for Valentine’s Day. It’s definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in the past few months. Very high quality food with meticulous detail to quality and plating. Edgewood is probably the best dining experience you can have in Lake Tahoe. Their staff for the most part was on point. We had Chelsea as our waitress. She did not miss a beat. There was a guy clearing plates who was pretty quick to suggest we were done with items, entrees, appetizers etc which made us feel a bit rushed. As for their wine collection, it could use a little bit of enlarging. I do not blame the sommelier, the wine they did have was excellent. I would have just preferred additional options. I felt a little forced when I finally did order a bottle. As for individual dishes I can only recommend what we had: Appetizer: Hamachi Beet Salad Cheese Plate …all great. Main: Aged Filet Mignon Elk Chop …both great. Desert: Machiatto …not good.

Summary — great ambiance and experience, decent service, wasn’t blown away by the food for the price We had a great table, decent service, but my branzino was overcooked. Nicely crisp skin but almost dry and the plate had very little sauce. The $ 10 french onion soup was just ok, the cheese needed a bit more crispiness. Sea bass would have been a better choice. Winter salad was good. Nice touches like freshly made chocolate mints, bread with olives certainly made this more 4 star than 3.

OMG! We ate here last night and it was by far the best night out I have EVER had. There were 4 of us and everything we ordered was perfection. We started the night with pork belly, seared scallops, artichoke hearts and foie gras, then we all had the caesar salad. For the entrée I had the sea bass(drooling thinking about it) and two had the nightly special which was a rib eye and one had the filet mignon(which looked so good we had another guest come over and ask about it because he was coming back and wanted to order it). Then we all decided to get dessert, I have no idea how we did it but we did ha there was a bananas foster, a crème brulee, a raspberry brioche bread pudding and dark chocolate salted caramel tarte we ate it all! oh and the house cab. is wonderful. Now I need to give my gratitude to the staff. We grabbed a drink out front and the bartender was very friendly. Our server Chelsea was amazing she was friendly, funny and knows how to read her customers, by the end of our night we felt like we had known her for years. Oh then Phil who works with Chelsea was just perfect! Good job Edgewood for hiring the staff you have, and I know she wasn’t our server but I have to give a shout out to Debbie, she is like family and we just love her. Kristin is the perfect fit as a manager for Edgewood, keep this lady because she will do wonderful things with this place. I will be back!!! :)

Not only is this one of my favorite restaurants in Tahoe, I also got married here. The food is incredible. So delicious. The crème brûlée is to die for. The view is just as delicious as the food. Go, order anything, literally anything, and you will not be disappointed. Seriously go. Great spot for birthday dinners, anniversaries, or just a special night out. Treat yo self!

I had 8:30 reservation, wasn’t seated until 8:50– and then… The server didn’t even show up to our table to greet us until 20 minutes after being seated. They were aware that we were celebrating an anniversary. The hostess was sweet, but our server was VERY inexperienced. The food was delish(that’s the 2 star). But… The wine list was pedestrian. Our server did NOT know her pairings or wine list at all. She recommended a basic Kim Crawford SV for a lovely dish of food. Then… Wine was served in an unpolished glass. How did she not realize that when she lifted the glass to serve it? Aside from the basic wine list, the bat mixed drinks were not inspiring and the mojitos mint wasn’t even muddled. Lastly, the gates were closed and several patrons had to push the iron gates apart and squeeze their bodies through a 10 inch space(in the freezing winter cold). Great way to please your guests at the end of the night when they just spent a fortune on a dinner. When a restaurant has entrees for $ 30– there is no room for mistakes. And this evening was full of errors. Don’t congratulate a couple, take extra time to seat them at a nice table and totally drop the ball the duration of their experience. Comping any aspect doesn’t excuse the server taking 20 minutes to arrive to the table after the bar just served a terrible mixed drink.

Wow… never knew this place was here. * Amazing view of Lake Tahoe * The service and staff were on point. * If I tried to find a flaw in any part of my meal I could not.

Excellent location, excellent food, excellent service!!! Went back again this past Saturday without reservations… duh…what were we thinking… and they had Nevada Energy in the main dining room for a big party. We ate on the patio off the bar menu and had such an enjoyable evening. The dude had his regular medium rare burger and fries and he said it was the best burger he’s ever had. I ordered the truck tacos which were excellent yet still required some tapatio. Not sure if it was the food or our lovely lake water but we both spent the next day pretty close to home… ha ha. Patio menu for two, by a romantic fire, sitting on the golf course with our lake behind us…$ 44 before tip. That included a draft and a $ 14 glass of FC chard. I LOVE this place.

This is a tough review to write as I’d say overall it was a 4 star experience, but the food and quality of service was closer to 3 stars. I’d say it’s a solid 3.5 stars. We came in for appetizers and drinks before a wedding event because I had read such amazing things and really wanted to see the sunset. The restaurant is beautiful and as other reviewers have said, the views and the sunset are absolutely amazing! They were really nice to accommodate us walking in on a Saturday evening with no reservation, but we let them know that we would be in and out pretty quick as we had somewhere to be. Great wine selection, and they definitely know how to properly pour a glass of wine! I had a delicious pinot noir. For food, we shared the tuna and salmon timbale, foie gras, and pork belly appetizer. Foie gras is always a treat for me so I very much enjoyed it, though the amount of foie gras was a a little small. The tuna and salmon dish didn’t quite work. While the fish tasted really fresh(and loved the seaweed salad), the sauce with it was some kind of plum or fruit preserve that was tasty on its own, but didn’t go well with the fish. It would have been better with something soy based or some type of aioli. The pork belly was very good, the apple and maple smokiness worked well. Overall, a fun experience, decent food, and nice people. Just not blown away considering the prices and reputation as the finest dining in the area.

Great food with an Amazing view of the water! I recommend going around 7:30pm so you can see the sunset. The restaurant is inside a golf club and the dining area is not too big so make sure to RSVP. I called and tried to change my reservation time and they were all booked. They also give you about 2 hours and it’s perfect so you can enjoy the view. As for the food: *Salmom and ahi tuna appetizer with yuzu sauce-not the freshest I’ve tasted but the sweet sauce complimented it well *Pork belly napoleon– very good, and again, the sauce was the star *Elk chop– my first taste of Elk! Not very different from beef. Very tasty *Lobster parpadelle– sauce seemed a bit watery but tasted just as you’d expect *Sticky date pudding– very soft and not too sweet. Great end to the night Service was friendly and attentive. Totally recommend if you’re in the area!

Wow. Fantastic dinner. Best elk chop I have ever had. No a single complaint from the appetizer to dessert. Highly recommend. Next time I am in the area I will try to eat here every night
