I went here November 2015 for dinner. It was a bit close to closing but the staff was still courteous and friendly. It wasn’t too lively because it was close to closing and I don’t think we visited during a popping season. Our waiter explained to us the concept and gave us the option of the buffet or a regular sit down dinner. So in a nut shell for me it was Hibachi style dining with a twist — You were able to pick out your own ingredients from the rice/pasta, veggies, meat, seafood, down to the sauce and it was prepared for you on the grill. You had the option to dine around the grill and watch your food be prepared or sit to the side. We chose to sit to the side but either way the food was good and its literally what you make it because you’re the one choosing the ingredients. I liked the concept of being able to choose my veggies and meats because you know sometimes you want a little more broccoli or onions in your rice or noodles then the other stuff an on menu meal has so I really enjoyed the buffet style and its options. Be aware of the sauce you choose to go with you’re meal however, because it can make or break your plate — like we tried this Mango Garlic sauce and it was not thrilling at all, ruined the dish. Other than that it was a great time. My only downside was that it was FREEZINGINTHERE — its hard to enjoy your food when you feel like you’re having dinner with Elsa in her Ice fortress.

The food was good, not great. The service was good but the hostess was not great. At the end of the night I’m not sure I really want to go back. The price for dinner was a little more then I wanted to pay. $ 130.00 with a tip for a family of four. None of us got the all you can eat and my wife and I have water to drink. All in all it was an interesting night, I guess I shouldn’t ruin the experience for everybody, so if you haven’t tried this please give it a shot. It’s a very unique type of restaurant to say the least. You pick out all the ingredients you want the chef to cook you put into a bowl. After that you literally bring it to the chef. He cooks everything right in front of you and you return to your table and eat your yummy dinner. At first you think the bowls are small but you actually slit of food. I wish the meat and chicken was a better quality but it us what it i

1 star for the service while we waited for our table. When we got there we were told the wait would be 30 to 45 minutes at 6:04pm. The hostess took our phone number and said she would call us when it takes was ready. We ended up waiting at the restaurant and not wandering off. We checked in at the hostess staff at 6:30pm, 6:45ish & finally at 7:01pm. It was at this time that the hostess informed us that she had called us at 6:51pm. We received no phone call; when I informed that we hadn’t received a phone call. Both the hostess and the manager started to get an attitude. They knew full well we had been waiting there and checking on patiently. The manager huffelly found us a table. There in ended the bad part of our of our experience. 4 stars for the service and food thereafter. Our waiter was great showing us where to get everything and what to do. The scallops were a little fishy but the shrimp were good. The chef’s making the grill were entertaining. Don’t forget to get you 10% discount when you check in with the Unilocal app.

I’ve been to the Anaheim location a few times and comparatively, I feel that this location is lacking. Fire + Ice is Mongolian BBQ, meaning that you fill up your bowl with veggies, noodles and raw ingredients, and take it to the large grill where the chefs will cook it up for you and mix it all together, throwing your choice of sauce on at the end. This location is at Heavenly Village inside the Marriott. This means that it gets extremely crowded with people coming off the slopes. We sat at the bar which was understaffed, leading to long wait times. The bartenders have to serve both people seated at the bar, people coming up to the bar, and people ordering food and drinks from the outside window. I felt bad for them. The pricing is different based on if you go once, or AYCE. I wasn’t aware of this and ended up paying more because I had 2 plates. If I had known, I would have stuck to one or had more than 2 to make the price worth it. The bowls that you fill to take to the grill are smaller than the ones in Anaheim. I felt like my plate was so small. They do this so that you don’t overfill and waste food, but they definitely could have been a little bigger to make the wait time at the grill worth it. Another issue is that since the chefs are so busy, they aren’t as careful with your food. They kept mixing items from one person’s meal into the meal next to it. I was pretty excited to come here and fill my belly but I left disappointed.

Decided to try this place out because it’s different. It’s nice that you get to try different things and make it your own style. We did all you can eat because it seemed more worth it. We only waited about ten minutes to get seated. The waitress was nice and helpful. She explained to us the station since it was our first time. We were lucky because each time we went to get our food cooked, we were pretty much first in line. It sucks that you can only get one bowl at a time. I’m not much of a buffet person since I don’t eat much, but I had about four bowls in total. All in all, this was was fine. It’s not something that was«wow» to me. If you haven’t experienced this type of style yet, it’s worth a try. It was about 28 each person for all you can eat and 24 for single bowl only. There’s a bar inside and they have happy hour around 5 or 6PM when we went.

The food is quite standard. The people from the front desk are really confused and a bit rude.
