I had dinner here with my boyfriend and we were both disappointed. When I was going around to make me dinner plate they were out of almost everything. My boyfriend and I both had a glass of cab with our food and the wine was horrible and old tasting. The server had me pay for our wine while I was in the middle of eating. I wouldn’t even waste your time or money at this place. They obviously don’t care about their customers or the quality of food and service.

$ 40 buffet totally not worth it! The food is absolutely gross. A waste of my money. The seafood was gross. The food was dry. This was for a bachelorette weekend. So disappointed.

I went to Las Vegas this time last year, and unfortunately I am comparing this to Vegas… It’s not a very good buffet. However, the food is edible. I had some noodles they called«chicken pad thai,» pizza, baked potato, pasta salad, popcorn shrimp, and a piece of lemon meringue pie. It was only $ 20 compared to $ 38 for seafood buffet at Harrah’s. We wanted to eat at the Harrah’s seafood buffet, but it was closed. Originally, I wanted to eat at the Brewery in S. Lake Tahoe and some others were eating Greek. I would have been happy with anything but this buffet. Went on a weekend ski trip to Tahoe.

We came here as a third choice… First two were in Harrahs which was packed with ppl(«Thai Asian» and then the Forrest Buffet which had a 1 hr 45 min wait). We waited here for about 25 – 30 mins. I read the reviews and agree that the buffet isn’t bad but there is not a great range of dishes. The service was good. I don’t have complaints about the food possibly because I was hungry. The one dish that I saw that looked wrong was the beef and broccoli… No seafood. The carving station was good. The pizza was ok, Asian dishes were ok. The desserts were good. Most places here don’t seem to get past four stars so three is decent and we finally got to eat…

Only $ 17 to get in. Good for a brunch most of their buffet consists in breakfast(9am-2pm). They have egg Benedict, huevos rancheros, mexican tostadas with fried beans and avocado, they made omelettes to your taste which are good. Crepes not really the best they are pre made and warm them up. They have turkey, ham. Salmon(not my favorite), desserts were okay i tried the carrot cake which was good, the tiramisu with whipped cream was really good and they also had apple pie, cheesecake, cookies and mixed fruit. They also have some grain rice, pork(good taste), fried rolls, cod with sauce(not very good). They had cereal boxes(cheerios, fruit loops and frosted flakes) My favorite were the omelettes and mexican tostadas. Cheesecake looked really good too.

I love this place food is good price is great and service is good too. Sometimes the lines get a bit long but nothing like 18th floor across the street. This place is much better value and sushi is the best here!

Had dinner buffet and thankfully, had two dinners comped due to slot pay. Even at half price for 4 of us, food very mediocre. Even the way the various food sections are setup is odd and salad bar near bare. They really should eat at Harrahs buffet and then copy them.

This place is ok. I don’t think there are any spectacular buffets in Tahoe so this will do. It was not as bad as the worst reviews. The servers were attentive, the food was varied(for brunch: lamb leg, turkey, chilaquiles, Chinese food, breakfast croissants, omelette bar, smoked salmon and shrimp to name a few). The dessert didn’t look that exciting and the breakfast taquitos were gross. There were a bunch of people there that were regulars and they seemed satisfied. For $ 15.99, on a Sunday, with bottomless mimosas I can’t complain(although I can complain that on my 3rd mimosa the server poured verrrry light on the champagne. I didn’t even finish it). Maybe there’s better and maybe there’s worse, but I would go back.

The food is so so. Our Server is really nice so the rating is for the food. Some of the selections aren’t bad but some of it isn’t very appealing.

Eh, not so good. Nothing really bad but nothing that would make me want to return. Kind of small too, not a lot of options. The servers were great though. The forest buffet is much better.

No complaints about the employees who were courteous and fun(or trying to be). The food was acceptable for the price but not outstanding. However, We were underwhelmed by the dessert offerings. This is because we got there when they opened for the night tonight(Friday 10÷23÷15 @ 5:10 pm), and the cookies that I had were extremely dry and one side of my German chocolate cake was totally dried out. This bothers me, because it begs the question: Did they save this crap from last week?(They are only open for dinner Friday, Saturday, and with brunch added on Sunday…) That’s the only reason I can think of that dessert would be stale on the first service of the week. Won’t be returning.

Now, this is a buffet place I would keep returning to, so don’t get the 3 star review wrong, it is however; just a little average. I’ve only been here for brunch buffets with the husband, when we get bored watching football at Montbleu, so this review is based solely on that. Service from the hostess and serving staff have always been on point and spectacular so there’s no negative points there. The food is just average sausage, bacon, and eggs that appear and taste to have been the same products us consumers can purchase at our nearby Walmart. They do have cereal and an omelette station though. Their egg Benedict, first time I’ve had it, was tasty though! They also offer desserts during the brunch hour, which to me is always a plus. Haha. :)

JUSTAWFUL. $ 9.99 for a Saturday night buffet. and while it’s true that you get what you pay for, I still would not have paid a couple bucks for this. The rice on the sushi is hard(not supposed to be). All the Chinese food options tasted like mush blended together. Even the Diet Coke tasted weird. I can go on. I know this is a «first world problem» but the buffet here should be avoided. We went in because we were already in Montbleu but perhaps it’s worth it to make that walk to the Harrah’s buffet or somewhere else.

The one star is only for food. 5 stars for the gentleman that serviced us at the table. Once you’ve had Vegas buffets or even Sweet Tomatoes, this place is at best one step up from school cafeteria food. The brick oven pizzas all looked over baked and oily– not very appetizing. We’ve tried the following: Prime rib beef– ok Design your own noodles– not bad, the only thing that came close to tasting like restaurant style Baked potato– decent, but much better at sweet tomatoes Cooked foods– looked better than it tastes – dry Sushi rolls — ok(rice a bit dry) Desserts –a lot of variety– but nothing stood out– soft serve is good Let me preface that we had a much better culinary experience the previous night at Ciera steak house next door to the buffet. If you are looking to just fill the stomach for an inexpensive price, then the buffet is the way to do it. However, I would rather cook at home than eat at the buffet.

Waste of money. Came here for brunch($ 26), but did not enjoy the food at all. 1. Sushi was old. Rice was hard and fish was old. 2. I had one piece of waffle. Too dry and old. 3. I had 5 pieces of overcooked green beans. 4. I had a bowl of soup. Broth was not good. 5. Bowl was dirty. 6. Fountain ice tea. 7. Staff just standing in the corner chatting. 8. Had to run to the bathroom after eating here ;( Will not come back. If you’re spending $ 26 for a buffet, you’re better off going to Harrah’s Buffet. They have more food selections, nice view and a lot cleaner.

For the price, this place is okay. I feel like the quality went down since business is slow and they are now only opened on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner. They seem to serve mostly an asian cuisine but do offer American food as well for the kids and others. It’s not that big of a buffet. The last time we went the food wasn’t being replenished so some of the food items had looked dried out or like it hadn’t been touched for a while! But some items were newer like their chow mien. After a long day in the snow or sum this is a great cheap place to grab dinner if your starving but there are many other options around.

Great price for a decent selection. You can tell most of the staff don’t want to be there, especially close to closing time. A menu detailing their food items is at the head of the buffet line, across the hall from the bathrooms. Be sure to remember where this entrance is since there are no bathrooms inside the buffet. It seems as though once you enter the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe, the crowds seem to disperse. The Buffet doesn’t seem to be super popular even with its price($ 12.95 per person for dinner) so the wait staff are pretty fast in clearing dishes and bringing drinks. On the other hand, the chefs are somewhat slow in restocking food. Soda and juice are complimentary, alcohol comes extra. The best(and most popular) item was the make-your-own noodle bowl station. You can choose from a variety of different noodles and broths that a chef cooks for you, then fill up with vegetables and meats of your choice. Wontons can be used in place of noodles and cooked shrimp is available upon request. Other cuisines featured here are Chinese(e.g. beef and broccoli), Mexican(fajitas), Italian(pasta), French-ish(beef bourguignon), Japanese(sushi), and American(roasts, fried chicken). Wooden chopsticks can be found in plastic cans around the counters. It’s not the biggest buffet around, but it’s enough to get some diversity in your stomach. Dessert bar features both sugar-free and regular desserts(mostly pies and cookies), soft serve ice cream, and fruits. Now stop reading and start eating. Ready, set, buffet!

I know people have given this place lesser stars. But I have been here two times an I can’t complain for the $$ spent. Not too crowded and the food is good and satisfying. It’s all you can eat so I just dig in and get myself stuffed. The staff is somewhat friendly.

I read all the reviews and still went in thinking, «It can’t be that bad… if anything I’ll just load up on pizza. Pizza is always a win.» Not so much. Surprisingly, everything I ate was really mediocre — even the pizza. My pizza-loving boyfriend took one bite and said yuck. Even the salad bar was bad. The tomatoes had no flavor and the dressings were really thick and unappetizing. The veggie suishi was dry(it was made fresh in front of me). The chow mein noddles were very pasty tasting… *sigh* My boyfriend loaded up on roast beef and other meats, so he left full and fairly satisfied. He said everything he ate was ok — he’d probably rate the meal at 3 stars. The only redeeming factor was the dessert bar and soft serve fro-yo. I really hate to be this picky, especially with such an inexpensive meal, but in my opinion you’re better off grabbing a Subway sandwich and calling it a day. Service was also pretty crappy and it’s clear they are in no hurry to seat you or clear tables. 2.5 stars.

The Price Was Right… Even though they did not have a whole wide assortment of dishes the dining experience we had here was still satisfying and I had plenty to eat. Walking around inside Montblue Casino we saw this buffet restaurant. This was our first time to dine here on a Saturday and we figured we need to get here early as we expected that there would be a line with that low price($ 12.95/adult, $ 7.95/children ages 3 – 12). They opened at 5:00p and sure enough there was already a line right outside 15 minutes to opening. Serving hours closed at 9:00p. The buffet area was small compared to others I’ve tried. The selection was not bad and had a variety of dishes from chef’s favorite which included pastas, chicken, seafood, veggies and plenty of sides. There was a carving station — roasted turkey, smokehouse beef brisket, and roast beef; Noodle bar; Pizza Station; Salad Bar; Wok Station; and Sushi Station, soup of the day… and dessert table with an assortment of mini pastries, cakes, pies, and ice-cream. The restaurant was clean and servers were friendly. Also, during our dining experience here there were three couples who celebrated their wedding and had their reception here at the buffet. They had their own separate little sections through out the restaurant. As we left the place the line got even longer. Glad we came early. Restrooms are located right outside of the restaurant. Looks like we’ll be coming back here to dine more often.
