Katie and Electric Lady Tanning Salon is probably the most warm and welcoming small business in the Lake Tahoe basin I have ever been to! The beds and equipment are of the highest quality, everything is reasonably priced, it is welcoming, professional and the best place to receive that ultimate tanning experience. Those loyal customers know what I’m talking about, and those who have never visited the salon should do so immediately! I have been a customer for 20 years, and is the only place you’ll ever visit once you try

The owner of Electric lady had an inconsistent level of friendliness, but I dealt with it because I lived close by. But one day, she was obviously angry. I asked if something was bothering her and she told me I had «asked the same questions last year»! She was referring to questions I’d had about spray tanning. I wondered if perhaps she had me confused with a different customer.
Some years have passed and many times I have felt annoyed about the inconvenience, but at least I found a wonderful tanning place in South Shore off of Hwy 50, and the owner is very nice.

What a great spot! I was turned on to it by my buddy Chuck! Kate is great, been in business for over 20 years. Great beds and a price you can’t beat! If you’re looking for a great tan this is the place to check out!

Best spray tan, great service, all around AWESOME.
Electric Lady is super sweet and always has specials for her tanning services. I prefer spray tans but she also offers traditional tanning beds and has a variety of lotions and other goodies.

Love this place! So glad my friend turned me onto it. They’ve been in business 20 years and its no surprise why. The owner, Katie, is awesome! She’s very courteous, helpful, has great deals, products, and powerful beds. After 2 months of tanning here (at a special anniversary-​month price of $ 100) I’ve developed a deep, dark tan. A single turbo tan (which is $ 15) got me more color in my first session than a few previous tans at a different local salon! I have yet to try a spray tan but I’ve heard good things. There are more positive reviews are on their Facebook page, where you can sometimes find daily deals posted. I’m hooked :)
