It’s been awhile since i came here… this time around… service was excellent… servers name was Amanda… absolute sweetheart… always checked on us even though the place was packed and she looked like she had at least 10 tables… food came quick for a packed restaurant. .I would definitely go back, plus in guess they had to kick Service up a notch now that they are literally next to Red Robin. As for what I had… I ordered the French onion soup and the chicken fingers with fries… very good

This was the worst service at an «APPLEBEES» since sheepshead bay. Cassie the bartender didn’t acknowledge us after the first drink. We were starving when we got off the bus from Manhattan. She didn’t see us call her multiple times and still kept serving the two men on the opposite side of the bar. We finally gave up and came to Buffalo Wild Wings next to APPLEBEES. What a horrible service on Saturday. The food isn’t that good in the first place and if you can’t serve the locals when they walk in last minute it makes this place off limits for me.

Food is definitely a 4… But service is really slow when it’s completely empty. Wasn’t anything super special.

I went with a friend to this location and the hostess was very nice and give us an option to sit anywhere. But from there it went all down hill. For drinks, I asked for a white sangria. I waited 20 minutes for my drink and the waitress bought me a Rosetta wine. The waitress was arguing with me saying that she heard me say that I want a Rosetta wine. After minutes of going back and worth, she took the wine. I waited another 15 minutes for my white sangria and all I got was one slice of lemon, orange and cherry. Sangria is suppose to have a lot more fruits. For appetizers My friend have buffalo wings that never came and tacos that were soggy and not presentable to eat. For the entrée My friend had the everything burger and it looked like the chef was not in the mood to cook because it was sloppy and poor friend had difficulty time eating it. My pasta Alfredo had no taste and I was about done with this dining experience. The waitress never came back and I have to walk to the hostess so I can get my check. It is safe to say that I will never come back to an Applebee’s in Staten Island.

This applebee’s is ok. However now that Red robin just opened in the SI mall, that’s my go to place in the SI mall, and totally beats applebees. This place has a nice sporty environment, which I like. I would only recommend going here if there’s a special going on, because without a special, applebees can surprisingly get up there in price. I’ve been to applebees and spent over $ 50 for 2 people, and that’s not with any drinks ordered! So the last time I came here a few months ago, I came here because I saw a commercial on the TV of unlimited all you can eat BBQ Ribs. So I came here, and ordered that, I had about 3 servings of it, and surprisingly the portion size was pretty good, and they were pretty good. At the end I wanted to have another serving to bring home, but was embarrassed to ask cause I didn’t want to look like a cheap skate. However, the waitress, who was pretty good, suggested that she’ll bring me another round to take home. I was happy with this, and left her a really generous tip for it. The next day I had a very busy physically involved day at work, and was looking forward to coming home to nice bbq ribs, and not having to cook dinner as I was EXHAUSTED. I opened the tray of ribs, and saw that the waitress gave me an extremely small serving size of ribs. I was totally disspointed. Thanks but no thanks… Bottom line: This place is ok, the food isn’t bad, if there’s a special going on, the prices will be reasonable, I wouldn’t go here if there wasn’t any special. Red Robin is better. And next time you order an all you can eat rib special, and the waitress is nice enough to offer you an order to take home, make sure you look in the tray before giving a fat tip! lol

Applebee’s is Applebee’s. Its always mediocre. This one seems to be the worst of the ones on Staten island. If you want Applebee’s just drive to tottenville and save the headache of the mall

This is conveniently located in the Staten Island mall. The staff was nice and accommodating. The waitress was helpful and made great recommendations. Prices are moderate here. Overall, good experience!

I remember a time when Applebee’s used to have good, hearty food. Unfortunately, these days, it seems to just keep getting worse and worse. They seem to be cutting more and more corners with the quality of their food. Now, it may just be this particular Applebee’s or all of them. I’m not really sure which since I haven’t gone to Applebee’s in a very long time, and I dared venture to this particular one last Sunday. So I’d like to stress that this review is only for this particular Applebee’s and not all of them. The only things that went well in this meal were the appetizers, the drinks, and the waitress(she was on point, very helpful, and very pleasant). Other than that, the meal basically put me off eating at Aplebee’s for a considerable amount of time going forward, maybe even for good. Our appetizers were stock. We had the pretzel sticks with the beer cheese sauce, and an order of the appetizer sampler. Like I said, this was the part of the meal that went well. Everything was good and was pretty much exactly what we were looking for. What came after, however, just left a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally, and actually almost made me sick. I ordered the NY strip steak. It looked great from the picture in the menu, and I eat it at Friday’s all the time. I always thought Friday’s and Applebee’s were similar so I decided to go for it. The steak at Friday’s is pretty good, after all. Boy, was I mistaken. I’m not even sure that whatever came out to the table was even beef. It looked like a severely undercooked steak(it was gray, not brown or black like a well-done steak should be), but when I cut a piece and put it into my mouth, it tasted and felt like someone ground up a bunch of pork, and pounded it into the shape of a steak. It actually tasted closer to pork sausage than actual beef, and it had the exact same texture and consistency too. I couldn’t finish it. Took one bite, and put my fork down. I don’t know if it was old or something, but a beef steak should feel and taste like well-cooked beef when you put it in your mouth, not processed, ground up Canadian bacon. It should be tender and juicy, not gamy. And did I mention it should taste like cow? Yeah, that one’s important. Can’t say I’ll be going there again anytime soon. Maybe not even ever again. I’ve been disappointed by Applebee’s before and I think this might have been the last straw. I think I’ll stick to Friday’s when it comes to standard Americana food. Sorry Applebee’s, but you have some serious work to do.

Dishes, and silverware were dirty, service was half-assed. Some of the food isn’t too terrible when you are craving appetizers. Their Green Bean Crisps and Wonton Tacos are pretty good. Yes, I was skeptical about the Wonton Tacos, but they are actually really good! I came here because the wait for Red Robin was way too long. This was THE place to go when I was in high school for friend’s birthdays, but it has really gone downhill.

Horrible drinks. Bartenders need training. And the place is filthy. Sticky floors, garbage everywhere. I’d never go back. Ever.

This place desperately needs a Jenny Jones makeover. I feel disgusting walking in. The saving grace of this place is the staff. The floor manager and host were both incredibly nice and professional. They were understaffed but our server was as tentative as possible and we understood that she was working like a madman. Even the manager walked over before she could and helped out with the drinks. If you’re looking for a friendly staff, this is the place to go. That’s the only nice thing I can really say.

I enjoy the happy hour ½ off appetizers, you just need to sit in the bar area. The service was really poor though. Our waitress came over twice, once to take the orders and once to ask if we were done. We weren’t given straws and she never stopped in between to check on us.

OK… I know it’s a chain place but the food was so, so. I haven’t been to one in years they don’t have a lot of them in Chicago so my friend and I decided to go. It was not that great to be honest. My friends was food was so OVER salted she had to send it back which was wack because by the time It was done I was finished eating. I did notice there were BIG thumb prints on my plate as well. We wanted dessert and I ordered a oreo shake. I didn’t think that could be messed up. I was sadly mistaken! It was full of icy milk and very little ice cream with some oreos in it. I was pretty disappointed. Maybe they were having an off day…

This one is in the Staten Island Mall so it is CROWDED! The booth we sat in was so tight my eyes were bulging out of my skull! Seemed like there weren’t enough waitstaff to handle this size crowd. Waiter did a fairly good job considering. As for the food, it’s Applebees not Babbo!

I’ve been here a couple of times with the boyfriend and his family since they live in Staten Island. Applebees is my favorite chain because the food is pretty good. This Applebees still has the 2 for $ 20 or 2 for $ 24 deal. Basically you get two entrees and an appetizer to share for either $ 20 or $ 24, depending on which menu you choose from. Steaks with mashed potatoes and several kinds of pastas are on the menu so there’s something for everybody. The boyfriend and I usually share the spinach artichoke dip, which I can’t seem to find the same taste anywhere. While I really enjoy the food and the pricing, the service and environment isn’t steller. While we do get our food and drinks on time, our waitresses tend to disappear after our food is delivered. Also, and this might just be our fault for eating at this location, our fellow diners have also been less than steller. Sometimes we’d be seated next to a large group of teenage girls gossiping about just EVERYTHING from«OMG I think he’s totally into you» to «That ugly bitch thinks she’s so hot but she’s really not. He wants me». Sometimes it’d be a family with little children that the parents cannot control. I understand that this is a restaurant and you’re allowed to talk about whatever you want, but there’s a noise level you should stick to. I mean, I really don’t need to have to talk over blondie’s details about her«sex life» over at the next table.

This Applebee’s was alright. I’ve always stayed away from Applebee’s due to its sh*tty staff and service. The staff at this place were okay. They place my boyfriend and I in the back at a table for 2. It was really nice and quiet at first, but then they sat a family with 3 wild kids right near us and a group of 14 year olds gossiping about boys and trying to sound cool. I know only certain tables are large enough… but the place was practically empty… why did those people get seated near us?! Also. the music… was ughh. I don’t want to listen to Top 40 while trying to enjoy a nice dinner in a restaurant. I know it’s not a upscale place, but please, take it a little bit more serious. Well besides that, the food was alright. Nothing special. The 2 for $ 20 deal is great and the food was just the right amount. The garlic bread was yummy and warm. The appetizer we got was the Boneless Wings with the hottest sauce on the menu. That sh*t was NOTSPICYHOTATALL!!! What the heckk… seriously? That doesn’t even TASTE spicy. I can understand something may not feel HOT to me because I like hot spicy foods… but this was just a FAIL. Not even spicy to the taste. Just wings in a red sauce. All in all… I think TGIFridays cooks better tasting food.

Applebees sucks wherever you go. But I assure you this is the ultimate crapplebees of New York City. Portions are small(especially when you’re attempting not to eat an 1800 calorie meal and get one of the low cal ones) and your waitstaff is peppered with weirdos and annoying tanorexic, classic staten island types. AND its in the Staten Island Mall. Nothing here is really good enough to waste your time, even the trivia night sucks! Boo hoo.
