Outstanding experience. His office is pleasant and made it easy to schedule the appointment. On appointment day they confirmed, and mid-​day I got a telephone update on approximately when Russ would arrive. And he did. Right on time.
He’s polite, engaging, professional, and very smart. Fixed the latch on my Bosch clothes washer in 10 minutes (when I made the appointment I had said I thought this was the problem and he brought a replacement part with him, saving me having to have two visits to get the washer fixed). He also gave me guidance on using the washer, right down to the water consumption of various cycles.

After using this company several times in the past and being somewhat satisfied, we were really disappointed with the lack of professional service and customer service this time around. They gave us the run around on the timing of ordering parts and availability that resulted in weeks of delayed appointments. One of the things they did fix (after several weeks of waiting for the part) broke again 1 week later. When told about this they were scheduled to come back the next week to fix it again and bring another part for another appliance. On the day of the scheduled appointment the 4 hour time slot came and went and no one came or called. When I called to check in the extremely rude and unprofessional woman on the phone informed me that they were not coming because the part did not arrive. When I explained that the appointment was also to fix the part that had broken again she told me that they were not going to come back more than once as it was a waste of time and that I would have to wait until the other part came in for an appointment. No one called me to tell me the part did not come ahead of time or that they were not coming and on top of that I found it dumbfounding that after something they repaired broke that they wouldn’t come running to try and fix it as it was their mistake. Both my husband and I tried to speak directly to Russ, the owner, and he flat out ignored our calls. His assistants tried to read us his text messages over the phone! I really have not encountered this kind of unprofessionalism in many years. In the end, instead of trying to make up for this blunder and save face, they chose to refund the money we had paid for the bad repair.

These guys are absolutely awesome. We are leaving for 10 days and washing machine was stuck and wouldn’t drain. They were somehow able to fit us into their tight schedule and got it fixed pronto. Similarly awesome service several months ago on our Asko dryer

I had Appliances R Russ come out today for the third time (different appliances, different issues) and I’ve been impressed every time. They arrive on time, they are (as another reviewer pointed out) informative and professional, and they come prepared with parts based on your initial call so you’re not stuck waiting for a part to be ordered and then having to schedule a follow-​up visit. Unlike with so many service providers, when they leave, I feel like I have a real understanding of what my problem was and what they did to fix it. This is the only company I call, and I recommend them to anyone who asks.

Fast, reliable, timely, clean, quick service… walked us through every step… courteous and considerate, trustworthy! Very professional… will definitely recommend to friends and family!!!

At the referral of the appliance company, I called Appliance R Us. Amazingly they came the next day. Russell was friendly, accommodated my son who brought out his toy tools to help, and offered suggestions for best use of my Asko dryer. Two weeks later my dryer was still not working properly so I called them to set up a follow up. Unfortunately the admin lost my appointment and the following one. Russell personally replied to my email and came the following day. In the process of fixing it he had to order a replacement part. He returned a week later, replaced the part and included it in his warranty because it was his error it needed replacing. I’d give 3.5 if it was possible.

I have used Appliances R Russ twice for my Asko washer/​dryer.
Russell the owner is amazing to work with as he really cares and it the most professional and reliable company I have worked with for repairs.
They really squeeze you in on a moments notice and get the job done above satisfactory.
I will continue to use them in the future for all my needs with appliances.

These guys are really professional — they educate you and explain why something may have broken and how to prevent it from happening in the future. In addition, they get to you when they say they will and they fix the problem really quickly in an efficient, orderly, and polite fashion. Wish they worked in the building! I highly recommend them. They fixed my Asko Dryer — replaced the fan — took about 20 mins and he showed me how to keep the filter clean and clear of lint to prevent future damage. I had not been cleaning it properly and now I know!

Over the years Russ has repaired my Viking stove, microwave, and Asko washer and dryer. He is always prompt, courteous and successful in restoring my appliances to working order. Without a doubt, Russ is the first phone call I make when my appliances stop working.

Admittedly I was skeptical based on the name alone, but I called 3 other places and they were the ones to respond. They came to Jersey City to repair my Asko Dryer that ran for 2 minutes then shut off repeatedly. They gave me a 3 hour window, I didn’t wait for longer than 30 minutes and they were at my door. Russ was super professional and generally a Nice Guy! Russ was an expert on my machine and had it figured out in 5 minutes flat! I would definitely recommend Appliances R Russ to my friends and I would use for other appliance needs!

I had problems with my Viking ovens. Called Viking and not very helpful. So I went online and checked out their authorized service companies. Not a lot to choose from to begin with — Only three of them are willing to serve Manhattan. The other 2 got bad reviews and hence I picked Appliances R Russ.
A few things about my experience with Appliances R Russ:
1) Handled the insurance requirement of my coop quickly.
2) Came within the time frame provided.
3) Fixed my oven quickly.
4) Very professional.
Very happy with the repair. The guy was very nice and get the job done. Will definitely recommend them to friends.

Per my building Super, I called Appliances R Russ to have my Asko dryer repaired. Got voice mail, but a return call within ten minutes. The woman was professional and scheduled me immediately in a time window that worked for me.
The repairman, Joe, came within the time window, introduced himself, ensured his feet were clean before coming in (which is important to a lot of people). He quickly diagnosed the dryer problem as a broken pump, but went one step further and did a test to prove that was the issue.
He had the part with him. Reviewed pricing with me (ugh. $ 325 for parts and labor), and asked for my sign off before proceeding. Voila! Fixed in 20 minutes! Joe told me his work and the part have a 90 day guarantee on them, gave me a business card and receipt on the spot.
Very professional. The only downside is the price… but I guess it is good for NYC. Will be the first call I make if another appliance needs repair in our condo.

Called to have my brand new Asko Washer fixed (Asko btw is the absolute worst. Don’t ever buy one).
1) They were very flexible with timing — they gave me a 4 hour window, but when i said i needed it early in the window they called the repairman and he re-​arranged his schedule to oblige
2) The repairman, Joe, was an all-​star. First he called me directly to give me a precise arrival time. Once here, he fixed the unit AND took some extra time to show me some troubleshooting tips and ways to avoid future problems. Honestly, one of the best repairman experiences i’ve ever had.
I would recommend these guys to everyone. NYC is full of repair companies that are pretty indifferent to customer service since the population is so big they can survive w’ out repeat business/​word of mouth — not these guys. I’ll be using them exclusively going forward.

Called Appliances R Russ as they were listed as a authorized servicer for the Viking stoves. (There were 6 companies listed in the NYC area for Viking. The top 2 on the list — i’ve used b/​4 for my fridge… WORST EXPERIENCES EVER. Those companies did a $hit job. The other 3 on the list did NOT have good revies. Appliaces R Russ had the most good reviews across multiple search sites.)
Just as the other review on this site stated — they were pretty much ON TIME or let me know how far out they were.
The first guy (had 2 guys come out on the same day as it turned out to be more of an electrical problem than a parts problem) brought the «just in case» parts as well. Within half an hour (that includes the time it took to pull the stove out from the counter space), they were able to test/​determine the electrical issue. So the owner Russ was called in – who happened to be close by finishing up another job.
Fixed/​completed and back to working condition. They were quick and efficient. I will use them again for ANY appliance issue I have (hopefully I won’t ever need them). I will also recommend them to anyone.

I called Appliances R Russ for a Asko service repair.
They scheduled an appointment with me for the next morning. Joe called to say he was running a few minutes late (which I can’t blame him for with this weather). He arrived a short time later.
He was friendly straight forward and efficient. He came in with some «just in case» parts (some of which were needed), diagnosed the problem and solved it quickly and effectively. He was very friendly and easy to deal with and he explained everything to me as he worked.
I was thrilled with the experience, and would call them again if ever in need!
