I love this place. I’ve been going there for years with family and friends. It is clean, the food is delicious, and the people are very friendly. Great Italian quality fun!

Food was ok. The service was absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this place. Was extremely disappointed.

I had a very nice dinner here with my wife. Nice selection of wines and outstanding home made pasta. The ambiance is very sudden and classy and the service was pretty good too. We had for appetizer the calamari and the polenta and for main course we both got two different pastas and they were cooked to perfection.

This Italian restaurant has to be one of the best if not«the» best on the island. Been frequenting this place for probably 6 years now. And I have to say I never been stuck or let down once. Although there can be 1 or 2 waiters on the staff that aren’t always on point. The food is excellent and the portions are satisfying. Some of my favorites are the Brazino served whole, their brick oven pizza or one of their homemade pastas with a Pesto sauce. Their specials are usually some good eye openers too. The chef who is a gentleman by the way, personally does his own baking on the premises. The ambiance is great and the atmosphere is always buzzing on the weekends and holidays. When the restaurant becomes packed and people are waiting upfront at the bar for tables it does become a bit noisy, where you can’t here your waiter read off the specials type noisy. All in all this is a very fine dining spot and I highly recommend it. Casual attire is appropriate however it’s a relaxed atmosphere and I’ve seen everything come and go. Good luck and enjoy. Buon Appetetito !!

I wanted to like this spot more. For me, service is huge. There are no shortage of Italian restaurants on Staten Island. Most of them have excellent service. This place had one of the worst services I’ve experienced for a finer dining establishment. We met some friends there who already had drinks. We weren’t offered drinks for about 10 minutes. We asked for a drink menu, but they don’t have one. My friend ordered a french martini and it was so sweet(mostly juice). Once the waiter finally returned with our drinks, I then requested menus(is this a stretch wanting menus at a restaurant?). He quickly(none of us could follow) rambled the specials then ran off. He didn’t return till we flagged him down to order. I asked for a suggestion and he didn’t have any opinion. Also, I asked several times for a water refill(eventually he gave one). In addition we had to request(beg for) fresh cheese and pepper. On to the actual food, well we began with the caesar salad. I liked the flavor. It was a creamy caesar dressing that tasted homemade. Then for an entrée I had a carbonara style dish made with homemade pasta and truffle oil. The truffle oil was a great addition. Overall the dish had a flavorful cream sauce that was complimented by the greens. Then on to dessert(don’t bother asking for a menu because they don’t have one). For dessert I had tartufo. I didn’t like their tartufo. It had a cake center rather than the traditional cherry. Also, it just didn’t taste like a high quality ice cream. The people I went with and I don’t plan to return. Service is big.

Man is this place good. Whenever I have friends or family visiting from out of town and they are in the mood for some good Italian food I bring them here. The place seats quite a lot of people and the service is decent. The Briosa salad is amazing and many of their daily specials are as well. The salmon dish that they have on the menu is to die for, not sure if it’s the fish or the sauce they give you on the side, but is mouthwatering. Definitely recommend.

I have dreams about the red clam sauce here. This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Staten Island.

Went for dinner with family. For appetizer I ordered the Garganelli Alla Norcia, Pasta with Prosciuotto, Peas, Black Truffle Cream Sauce and Baby Arugula. Very Good. For the main course I had the Veal Scallopine Al Limone, high quality Veal with Artichokes and Lemon over Spinach in a light sauce. Also Very Good. For dessert, enjoyed a Tartuffo. Brioso cooks with a light, elegant touch. Very enjoyable. Service was good, Setting was comfortable.

We wanted to go to LaStrada, but there was a 30 min wait. It was cold and we didn’t feel like driving around looking for another place, so we ended up here. Big Mistake. The waiter was perfunctory, didn’t come back to check on us, though the bus boy came by to fill the water. I order the sausage ragu and it was too salty. My husband ordered the veal chop. It was a big piece but with big bone, and he ordered it medium but it came out rare There were three tables with kids, and the some of the parents just let them run around. We wanted a nice, relaxing dinner, and screaming kids doesn’t figure in to it. On top of which there was a fight(real, physical fight) in the kitchen For me, LaStrada has much better meat dishes, and T. Romano has great pasta and fish dishes. Even Bruno and Andrew’s have better food and more relaxing than this. Not going back

Been coming here for years and they have never disappointed. Whatever they serve is always consistent. You are never rushed just to turn around tables. Those with poor reviews are most likely the impatient type. Like I said, you aren’t rushed and the courses are well timed in my opinion no matter how busy so you don’t feel like your just shoving food down your throat. Hand down, this is one of the best Italian restaurants on SI.

I attended a reception for a co-workers son’s christening. The restaurant was obviously over booked, as there was the party is was attending in addition to a separate party and they were sitting regular patrons. It was a four hour reception and they didn’t start bringing out entrees until after three hours. For the three hours the appetizers they served weren’t bad, but there wasn’t enough and everyone was starving. We need is finally got my entrée which was filet mignon, only one side was cooked. The owner seemed annoyed that I sent it back, and when it was brought back out it was microwaved. I don’t know how brioso is on a regular day, but based on this experience, I’ll never find out.

Consistency is key here. I have tried almost every item on the menu and nothing seems to disappoint. As soon as I walk in and you smell that wood burning fire place I just get excited. As someone that eats out 4x a week at nice restaurants I feel like I can say this is the best restaurant on Staten Island period. The waiters could be a little bit more outgoing and friendly but other then that the food is the best Italian food on Staten Island. Again every single item here is delicious. Try anything and everything on the menu. You will not be disappointed.

I went there today with 3 friends. We were given menus immediately, waiter came by said he would bring bread, we had to ask several times after that for the bread. Waiter seemed to be preoccupied with chatting with other patrons. He finally returned to our table, we placed our orders, food took a while to come. There was a party(about 12 people) but they had already been served. The fried calamari was very good. I had SCHIACCIATAALPROSCIUTTO(Thin brick oven flat bread with prosciutto, sliced tomato, fresh mozzarella and baby greens), which was a generous portion, easily shared. My two friends had the COSTOLETTADIMAIALE(Crusted pork chop with aromatic bread crumbs with broccoli rabe and hot cherry peppers), the entrée arrived with no hot cherry peppers, the waiter bought them after they were requested. The SALMONEALLAGRIGLIA(Grilled steak salmon with steamed vegetables and mustard sauce), which she said was very good. We had to request drinks. We ordered some cappuccinos, a Tiramisu, and a raspberry sorbet. We had to ask for the sorbet. Our waiter was busy busing another table, they have busboys for this. It seemed as though the waiter was not interested in taking care of our table. I go to many restaurants, and this is the first time I’ve felt this way. I hope their service improves because the food was good.

We came with friends for dinner and drinks. My margarita was awful plus it had sugar instead of salt! The calamari tasteless and the pizza was disgusting! On top of that they charged us twice and took them ages to figure it out! Highly disappointed.

Bland and boring to say the least. You arrive to an arrogant owner/host who seats you when it is convenient for him. The waiters all speak with a phony Italian accent when they rattle off the specials of the day. You place your order and receive food along the same quality as a hospital cafeteria. My meal arrived cold, after about 45 minute wait. No flavor, just bland bland bland. No one else in my group liked their meal, either. A pathetic side of boiled potatoes and canned vegetables are pointlessly provided to the table. I would not feed that to my dog! Needless to say, I would not return to this joke of an establishment if someone paid for my meal. I also agree with prior comments — the staff tends to favor repeat customers that are shall we say«slightly older» than the rest of us. Not friendly towards new clients whatsoever.

This place is closest to my grandmas homemade pasta that I’ve ever found., and trust me I’ve been searching a long time. Gnocchi is so delicious, best polenta, just as good as grandmas.. Big portions, great service, only thing host can be a little friendlier. It was my first time trying them out and when I walked in a few italian guys were standing by the register, didn’t even smile. Then regulars came in and they were friendly. Great food overall, good service„ pretty place. Will be going back very soon

Who ever the chef is should be acquainted with the following SALTANDPEPPER ! under seasoned everything except for their sausage ragout that was well seasoned. Anyway they seem to cater to repeat business and are negligent toward unfamiliar faces… when you have 7 busboys waiters standing around and water glasses are empty there is definitely a need for more attentiveness. While the staff is courteous they are not overly friendly unless they know you, guess they are going for the Rao’s thing, but you can’t do that with subpar food on your menu. Their specials which are haphazardly recited by your waiter, almost outnumber the items on the menu. Oh by the way this place is expensive for a mediocre restaurant in the borough of Staten Island. So I say Brioso u lost a future client and whomever I can reach via word of mouth or social media.
