If you love thin crust pizza this is a place you must try. Went for Father’s day 2016 got there before Six pm and did not have to wait (there was a line out the door when we were leaving) The Pizza was thin and light excellent, everyone at our table was pleased with the Fried Calamari & Salad. I will be back! Nice atmosphere casual friendly wait staff. The cappuccino was delish as well.

Absolutely love the pizza. Great environment in the pizzeria as well. The wait is a little long but it is definitely worth it. I will be coming back here again!

I’ve been here second time. This time we took 2 pizzas-​one white and one red. They were amazing.

Some great pizza. Had delivery and I assume in-​store is even better. Found this location on some random list of top 5 shops in Staten.
Ordered the garlic and herb. It was probably the best slice I’ve ever had without meat. Was great. Best part is they deliver.

The Best specialty pizzas outside of Italy. These two brothers learned their craft in Italy so it’s no wonder they make great pizza pies! Try the Variopinta!

Best specialty pizza in Staten Island! Try the Variopinta… can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas but that is my favorite. This was our first stop in our trip back to Staten Island from New Hampshire!

Went here for a late dinner last Thursday night as a result of Unilocal reviews. Glad I did!
Place is full of nice wood but small with a pizza kitchen in the rear.
I sat at a table and ordered a caesar salad with a neapolitan pizza with prosciuto on top. The caesar had amazing flavor and could have fed 2. I ended up polishing it up myself. The only disappointing part was the small boxed croutons.
The pizza had just the right amount of «sloppiness» but not sloppy. The flavors were great and I polished off the pizza myself.
Service was prompt. I will return!

Their regular cheese pies are standard but the specialty pizzas here are like nothing else I’ve ever tasted.

This used to be my go to Pizza place on SI. They had great service and great food. Something must have changed! I picked up a pie of plain pizza only to get home and find it was soggy and certainly not fresh. There was barely any tomato sauce and the cheese was rubbery and slid right off. It was a mess and not in a good way. I’m disappointed and I hope this is a temporary problem that is fixed soon.

My only complaint about pizza giove was the wait time… we waited about a half hour for just the 2 of us. On a Sunday night around 8pm.
We started with the mussels in the white wine sauce… WOW. They were amazing! Very plump and hearty. And a really huge portion!
We also had the baked clams which were very tasty.
We each ordered small pies for ourselves. I think he got the pizza gusto? Something like that. I didn’t try it but he swears by it, LOL. I ordered the quattro formaggio pizza, and one of the cheeses was smoked mozz, and you could smell it, and it was so delicious!
We will be going back :)

Pizzas are good, but the atmosphere is chaotic, particularly Friday evenings when everyone comes with their little kids. Screaming and hectic energy abounds, so if this is not the type of energy you want when relaxing with a glass of wine and dinner, look elsewhere in the evenings.
Service is prompt but not very intelligent. When you see I am on the phone, have some respect and wait until I am finished before asking me if I want another glass of wine. It’s simple common sense.
There is also an unpleasant woman working the entrance which is ropped off like cattle for all people to wait to be seated. I came with my wife and when asked how many, said there will be 1 more coming. She made us stand the whole time until the third person came to seat us. Totally unprofessional, inhospitable and disgusting way to treat your customers (p.s. we’re regulars).
Perhaps the back of the house does not know how this woman is lording over the front, but she did not make us feel welcome at all, in fact, I was offended. Seat us if we’re already here, and then when the 3^rd person arrives, he will join us! We are not cattle to stand behind the damn rope while there are empty tables all over!
I am not sure if we will be coming back or bringing anyone else here anymore because of this woman, and because of the hectic and non-​relaxing dinner atmosphere. It gave me agida!

I’m a fan of their lentil soup. The beans and shell noodles were perfectly tender and it was served at just the right temperature for immediate eating.

Arguably best pizza place in Staten Island. We tried other, famous and little known, pizza places and keep coming back here.
Also, don’t get fooled by the name — this place is more then just a pizza joint. The wide variety of appetizers (try rosemary octopus), pastas, deserts — all is really good.
But be prepared to wait — the real time for order pickup is 1 hour plus, no matter what they quote you.

I have been spoiled by this place. I can never have pizza anywhere else.
I live in the neighborhood, and we decided to order from them one night shortly after they opened instead of another local pizza place, which has gone drastically downhill; Gennaro’s. They were our go-​to. After one too many under-​cooked, cold pies that we waited hours for, we decided we would try this new place. Best decision ever! Thin crust, always hot and fresh, and absolutely delicious. We eventually went to the restaurant one night, and that was another pleasant experience. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and the service is always fast. There is no other place like this. If you haven’t been, GO!

Hands down the best pizza in Staten Island. I am a native Staten Islander and grew up 3 blocks from Denino’s. A friend recommended we try Giove. My wife and kids and I loved everything, from the mussels to the amazing pizza to the excellent tiramisu.
You must try to believe it.

Great pizza! my wife and I go out to eat often and usually give restaurants two tries before we judge, we have now been to Giove’s five times and had nothing but great pizza, service and atmosphere and very clean. I have three brothers so coming from that upbringing it is refreshing to see brothers who actually seem like they enjoy what they are doing and have that bond, my grandmother always told me if you don’t enjoy cooking it will not taste very good. our favorite pizza is the Variopinta so creamy, and if you like hot spicy Naso just spicy enough. Oh and by the way there Buffalo wings are the best I have tasted in long time they fall off the bone. Now I’m not that guy who does reviews but last night i had to go over to one of the brothers (sorry i didn’t get his name) and tell him I Appreciated there accomplishments and promised him I would spread the word…

Super impressed. That signature pizza with zucchini, OMG.
Also ordered a pasta dish, but salmon just does not go with any type of cream sauce. Just the thought of dairy and seafood doesn’t sit well with me.

I’m fussy when it comes to pizza and I certainly am a true Islander with my love for Denino’s, Lee’s Tavern, Joe & Pat’s. That being said, Giove blows my mind every time!
The quality ingredients and determination for consistency really shine. Call it authentic, call it specialty pizza, call it gourmet. I call it: amazing!

I went in and ordered two pies and mozzarella sticks to go. Was quoted 25 – 30 minutes. As it’s a Friday night, I was prepared for the wait to actually be a bit longer. It’s now an been hour and fifteen minutes and I’m still waiting at the counter. I should have ordered delivery, it probably would have been quicker.
**Update**
Pizza was good but not worth the experience – order on a slower night. Also, for the time it took to prepare them, they could have put in a little more effort assembling the pies.
I’m willing to give them another shot in the future. Hopefully this was just an off night.

I have only tried the specialty pies here, Best pizza I have ever had in my life, Having traveled all over the country & had pizza everywhere I feel like that says a lot. I was losing faith in pizza for the past few years as all these mom & pop shops on the island have been losing their quality to such extreme measures that I felt some were comparable to chain places… Not this place!!! I have ordered from here several times now (since trying for the first time in early November), Each time it has been absolutely impeccable.
Last time, my hubby was actually around for it (I had been craving good, real pizza while I was away for the holidays a month & ordered the day I got back) & he was soo pleased he tossed out our stack of takeout menus LOL! He said he definitely wants to try their regular say, pepperoni or whatever pie, but really I could care less honestly, I’m sure they’re just as fantastic — but the specialty pies are just amazing. Nothing short of. We have tried: The Variopinta, Del Pizzaiolo (both white pies) & The Naso & La Saporita (Both red)… In fact, it was the small size of all 4 of those the first time I ordered. Amazing. If you try this place I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. I can see hands down how the guy who created these pies beat Bobby Flay LOL.
Also, the people on the phone have been very pleasant (even the first time when I excused myself for not being able to pronounce the specialty pizza names correctly LOL) & the delivery has always been much faster than expected & very pleasant. I think I will order from here tonight… omg yum.
