So this was my favorite Chinese take out spot. At some point they got new owners. The food has declined, but it’s still the best on the island. I will admit I still get take out from here even though my dad got terrible food poisoning. I like to believe it was an isolated incident. The wonton soup is flavorful and has about four wontons in it. It has pork and some leafy vegetable. It’s not overly salty. Also, their egg drop soup is tasty too. The pork egg role is crunchy, large size but sometimes way too greasy. Their homemade duck sauce is very tasty. They pack the nice large chips to dip it in. The egg foo young is flavorful and not overly greasy. It has a thick gravy. Also, the combination platter is a large serving for a fair price. The shrimp with lobster sauce is another family favorite. It’s jumbo shrimp in a thick but light, flavorful sauce. My other favorite is chicken with broccoli in garlic sauce. The broccoli is crunchy. The sauce is flavorful. The chicken is tender. Although I have noticed a decline in the quality after the newer owners took over, I hope they recognize this and improve. It’s hard to find good Chinese food and from the former owners they have a good following. I’ll still continue loyal as long as they work to step up their food to the former standard.

We’ve been ordering out from this rest for years but unfortunately, it has taken a dive from where it once was. My mother in law found a metal tag on her duck! I ordered shrimp with mixed veggies and the shrimp was slimey and had a strong fishy smell and taste. It definitely wasn’t fresh. My husband called them to tell them and one of the delivery men came to pick up the slime from my home and argued with us that the food was fine and even slammed our storm door! We will never go back. I’d rather go to the other side of the Island than deal with the awful food and Bipolar Asians at this place.

Ordered crab ragoon it mediocre and had the shrimp and broccoli from the lunch special and it wasn’t edible at all! Shrimp tasted slimey and fishy(definitely not fresh) and extremely over cooked. Broccoli was mushy too so overall I could not eat my meal. So disappointed.

This has been my favorite Chinese Rest. There has been a slow decline over the past 9 years. Where some dishes just never came out right. Cold sesame noodles had too much vinegar. Staff has been arrogant when told there was something wrong with there food. NOW there staples have take a dive. How do you mess with Wanton Soup? Soggy wontons(undercooked missy mess) broth taste is off its darker than usual, The sweet and sour shrimp the batter shrimp was undercooked soft mushy batter with over cooked shrimp inside. They split the shrimp into and bread in a ring. Making u think u get more shrimp but in reality the shrimp is scrawny. The sweet and sour sauce was missing the fruit(stingy), They changed the sauce I the pan fried dumpings. Uck. I’m not going back.

One of the top all you can eats I have been to. No matter how frequently I go there is always fresh sushi. The sheer variety basically guarantees everyone can have a good meal. Many meats of every kind and lots of styles of vegetables. The deserts are standard for Chinese all you can eats, though they have more flavors of ice cream. The service is usually at a good pace and the atmosphere is a touch above average.

I have been a delivery customer for over 10 years from Crowns Palace. Food has been anywhere from just good to great over the years. Delivery and customer service has been ok. However, in the past 6 months the quality of food has been worse. Then two weeks ago something happened that really turned my stomach. We are creatures of habit basically order the same thing all the time. So on this night we ordered our usual order which includes a small order of BBQ spare ribs. When the order arrives we find that they have given us a large order of spare ribs and charged us for the large order. Its an extra 7 bucks, not the end of the world but this is not the first time this mistake has happened and we are tired of paying for something we did not order. So I call up to ask them to credit me the seven bucks b/c they got the order wrong. I am told that I was charged for and received the large order, so what’s the problem. I explain that I only wanted small order and they made the mistake so I should not have to pay for their incompetence. I then hear the owner manager tell the phone girl that they will credit me the money on a store credit but that they are sending the driver back to my house to TAKEBACK5 Spare ribs!!! I was floored at first, then insulted and finally flat out disgusted. I couldn’t finish eating and was wondering if any of my food was on someone else’s table before being repossessed by a delivery man. The driver came back and wasn’t even sure why they sent him back. We told him, gave him the 5 ribs and asked him to inform the owner that we would never patronize his restaurant again. Beware, you can’t be sure about where your food has been.

Never had a bad dish in this joint, at worst it’s been«Really freakin’ good». Beef with Asparagus and Mushrooms is delicious, anything in garlic sauce is delicious, really. Egg Rolls are super crisp on the outside, and super moist on the inside(none of that raw cabbage bs places try to give you). Scallion Pancakes run the same way, crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. Pork Fried Rice has a slightly charred taste to it, tastes like it’s cooked in an extremely well seasoned Wok, excellent stuff. EDIT: Almost forgot, Wonton soup is delicious. Broth is a really rich stock. Older gentleman working inside the place would drive you home if he could. Incredibly kind, attentive, and giving. He tried carrying my bag out to my car for me, and I was astonished. Flavors are very, very Brooklyn in terms of Chinese, with less grease, if that makes sense. All in all I’m a huge Chinese snob(Wo Hops being the best) and I’ve tried all the other«bests»(Tacks) and this place is delish. A remodel wouldn’t hurt but I’m not there to stare at curtains. Girl who does take out is incredibly sweet, speaks perfect english. No confusion here.

The worst place to eat, never coming here again. we ordered seafood and veges over noodles. The scallop went bad and we love seafood. We told the waiter that it went bad and he told us ok I waive the soup that you ordered. I told him that we want another dish with out the scallop, he said he can’t do that and was confused. He told the boss to come out, she came out and took the scallops to the back to let the chef taste it. When the boss came back out she said that the scallop came yesterday and is fresh, it taste just like that. The boss didn’t offer us to make a new dish without scallop, she only said that is how it taste and left. I never received such bad service in my life. Would not recommend anyone to come here

Food is delicious. I have fond memories of it as I went there for dinner with my love over 20 years ago. I still remember the butterflies in my stomach as we ordered the dumplings which I had never tasted until that night with him.

The takeout service is fast and reliable. I always pick it up myself on the way home after getting off the bus. The food is fresh and tasty. In comparison to Chinese takeout in Brooklyn, the food is pricey.

While I agree with Eric’s comment that the décor is less than pleasant and is in DIRE need of a makeover including the ripped up awning, the food is actually really good. Eric, if you have been coming here for 15 years, I don’t understand how you can only give it 3 stars. You have other Chinese restaurants on the island that definitely deserve a 3. The food here isn’t over oiled and you can actually taste the sesame in the sesame chicken. The boneless spare ribs are amazing, the best I have tried(That’s right! I said it). Give it a whirl, you won’t be disappointed.

We have been coming here for 15 years. The quality used to better. They have let the appearance of the physical plant go to crap as well. the chicken in black bean sauce is good, and the general tzo’s chicken is above average. Wish it were the old days…
