IHOP

For a chain like IHOP, one would expect consistent quality of food and service. Not with this location. This particular IHOP is ideal for those wanting to wait 40 minutes to be asked for your order, mediocre quality in the food (after asking where’s the food after another 30 minutes) and an indifferent staff. As the only IHOP on Staten Island, the option to go to another location isn’t available. You’re much better off choosing a completely different venue to save yourself the wasted time and money here.

This is the only IHOP on Staten Island and quite possibly the worst in the entire country. The service is horrible and our waitress was incompetent. She did not come around once to see if everything was ok. Would not recommend to anyone! Stay away!

To get to the point quickly, this place has gone downhill. I used to love the place, nothing special but you always got decent food– until now. It appears that the bad economy has affected this place. It used to be 24hrs, that’s no longer the case. I ordered the breakfast sampler; the hash browns appeared to be recooked, I say that because they were hard and had a plastic texture. On top of that they were half cold while the other half was warm. My scrambled eggs were dark yellow as if they sat around for awhile. My GF had the fried chicken, it was very dry, they obviously didn’t care how the food came out. I don’t like criticizing places, but this was pathetic… I’m sure it’s more on the owners/​management than on the cooks and employees.

The peppers in my omelet were not cooked. The service is excellent here.
I just wish my omelet taste better.

food was not even hot when came out. I watched it sit on the chefs table from the angle i was sitting in. She was taking on new tables instead of taken care of tables on that she already had not kool.
would i go back probably not, maybe on a road trip or something.

By far the worst experience I have ever had there. We waited over an hour to get our food. Which mind you came out cold. Had to ask to warm up the food again. I should have had my burger cold it tasted better. When I got my burger back the bun was soggy on the bottom and my ketchup was all crusted on the plate the fries were soggy, once they reheated the burger.
The mozzarella sticks were cold. Not only did we ask to reheat them and when they came back out they were just as cold. Not hot at all.
The crepes could have been warmer.
No one asked if we wanted refills on our water.
The only good thing that came out of the kitchen was the hot chocolate with whipped cream..

WHY IS THERE DUCT TAPE ON YPUR BOOTHS? It’s disgusting I sit down and my pants stick to it, you people have more money than God fix your interior. We drive to jersey for ihop would never go on this place again.

Customer service wasn’t great. The food wasn’t too great either. Prices are decent. Took them a while to seat me, even though the restaurant was mostly empty.

I’ve been coming here for some time. This ihop is by far the best in my area. I come from Brooklyn over the bridge to go here. My waitress Jennifer (Jen) is the absolute best. Polite fast + on point. I came with a family of 6 got there at 615 + im parking my car at 7 p. m by my house in bk. (food was very good) my whole family is satisfied + so am as well. idk what’s with all these hater comments but I’m the hardest person to plz when it comes to eating so all these idiots need to go to a white Castle or something maybe then they’ll be satisfied. Smfh

Where do I even begin!!! «/​never been a huge fan of IHOP an for his main reason it always over packed an understaffed that my food comes out cold an the service sucks due to not many servers an the ones they do have are above there head in tables.
No ketchup! No napkins! No side plates no check up.
I had to get up an ask a bus boy for things! Smh

Oh yeah as I’m walking out I handed the $ 40 an receipt to our server an told her to keep the change ($ 6 tip)

I had the cashier guy follow me out to my car an ask if I paid?! Wtf do I look like? I’m not a dishonest person why would I walk out with out paying an on top of it I have my family (husband an two boys) who does that type of nonsense. Definitely not a normal person. A mother at that.
So I get cold food an waited like 45 min for my food an then I get chased to my car to ask if I paid.
Great way to start off my husbands birthday morning

HORRIBLE!!! Smelly and poorly greeted the Resturant was empty yet we were put at the worst table in the house. I did not even order the smell of dirty bleach water made me ill. I can even believe anyone gave this place 2 stars. It only got one because the review will not post with out it negative 5 is more like it v

Waitress recommended grilled chicken sandwich. Greasy and disgusting. Left feeling nauseous.

Not a big fan of the eggs but the pancakes are always pretty good and I like how they have a different variety of syrup

Food is good service is good family prices but the place needs a face lift went early to eat and the roaches were out to play the 3 stars should be 4 but the place is run down

This Ihop is the only one in Staten Island. The parking area is an accident waiting to happen. Just be careful when you are entering and departing from the parking area. The décor and seating area are ok. The menu is just your typical American breakfast (pancakes, waffles, etc). My favorite is the veggie omelet with mushrooms. Fair warning: expect a long wait on Sunday mornings. The best time to come here is during the week.

I have to say my absolute favorite is the vegetable wrap with the mushrooms. I always enjoy coming here, except for the long waits but you can expect to see on Sundays and off days. The staff is friendly and the waiters/​waitresses are nice. Me and my family still come here every time there’s a holiday

Gentleman that greeted us at the counter was very nice. Other than that the waitress was hurried and rushing to keep up with everybody resulting in poor service. The food was only so so and not very clean and the bathrooms were disgusting. I should have listened to my first and taken my family to the diner instead.

I love the omelets here, esp the Simple and Fit, served with a fruit salad. Food is good here, and staff is friendly.

I think this is another ordinary fast-​food restaurant. I noticed the owner seems to own a few places and he was determined to see the business go great. But unfortunately his not paying attention to the service & hospitality from the staff & crew. The guest are seated in the most max-​occupancy possible. Everyone in a row, reminding me being back in jr high school’s cafeteria. The food isn’t the greatness. I tasted the cheap vegetable oil on everything they served me. I wasn’t pleased at all with the cheap-​quality food I ate. I rarely think I’ll be back again. No wonder their options are growing to dinners & lunch meals. This isn’t a good location to compare to other IHOPs around.

The food is not beyond bad. It’s bad but nothing beyond it. There were times where I tried looking past cold ass toast with un-​spreadable butter, steamed vegetables that came out the freezer, thawed on the outside frozen in the inside. But I had it when my mashed potatoes came out with it’s own little pool sitting dead center at the top. No one fucks up my mash and gets away with it. Customer service is worst, the staff members forever in the back. Idk if they’re playing hide and seek but if that were the case, they’ve mastered the art of hiding cause you’ll never find them. They’ll pop every hour or so just to show face. You know… like a hi but never a bye or thank you for coming. I guess it is what it is. Thanks a lot IHOP!!!
