International House of Pancakes

Came here in the afternoon so we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly. When we sat down we noticed the seats had huge holes in them causing us to sink in the seat making it very uncomfortable. It was covered cheaply by a different material. Place looks a little run down for overall appearance but when it’s busy in the morning I’m sure no one notices. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Food was okay. I ordered stuffed French toast with scrambled eggs and my boyfriend ordered a waffle. French toast was good and the waffle was soggy. Overall I don’t think I would come back here.

Came in today (Black Friday) waited 45 mins for our food and then told that 3 of the 5 cooks called out today. We walked out. Always a long wait. Very disappointed.

I ate here this morning and it was okay. The food is traditional IHOP, which was fine.
Before coming here, I noticed that there were many reviews of the wait staff not being helpful. Our service was decent. The hostess was super sweet and helpful. Our waitress was okay. She rushed us, which seemed weird considering it wasn’t very busy there. Otherwise, she kept our drinks filled and was fairly friendly.
One thing I did notice was that the waitresses seemed to be unhappy with one of the hostesses for whatever reason and made it very clear in front of patrons in the dining area. So unprofessional! That was a real turnoff. Handle private matters elsewhere.

Service is horrible, food is like every other ihop not great but consistent, waitresses and waiters are horrible you sit for 30 minutes without even getting coffee, my kids like pancakes so yea I patronize this place and the owner is super nice and well known in the community as someone who cares and contributes but can the service be worse? Doubt it… read the other reviews very similar

I only come here for breakfast, I have enjoyed every visit. Nothing ever crazy, service always good. I’m not much of a complainer…

This is one of the better breakfast places on Staten Island. They have pretty good breakfast menu. The service is just alright. The parking lot sucks.

Great food. This is a compliment to most waiters. Just because they take a long time that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars.

Went during the middle of the week so it was not very crowded. I had the pancakes and eggs over easy. The eggs over easy were good, but the pancakes could have been just a little bit hotter, but all in all it was a pleasant breakfast. I had an Unsweetened Ice Tea to drink which was good, but I thought they had free refills? I think the next time I come here I will skip the pancakes and order an omelet instead. Just wish Staten Island had its own Dennys…

Went here on Easter Sunday, I expected it to be crowded but it was fair. I got breakfast and my goshh their pancakes tasted box made. Idk what the rave is but I’ve tried better pancakes at smaller establishments. Besides that I guess everything else was okay, and portions were a bit small.

I love IHOP, all is delicious there, sometimes the waiters can forget you, but alas! when the food is in front of me, I forget everything. Also, sometimes they let the food get warm. I dont send it back cause, I dont want to anger anyone, but I do tell them.
Its not that cheap anymore either! But when I can go, I do and I love everything on the menu!

The food was good but slow service and the fact they have bus boys standing the Isle space organizing forks and knives while I’m sitting trying to enjoy my food with my wife is pretty F**ked up how stupid is the manager to allow that? That should be done in the kitchen asswipes.

I hop Is just I hop… there foods aren’t like super special… I been here a few times… it’s always a lot of people and services is pretty bad… Long wait on food and service… It can be pretty annoying… Aspically when your hunger in the morning! I enjoy there original pancakes and French toast… there omelets are pretty good and hearty… imitation eggs… There steak omelet is insane! Soooo much stuff in one omelet… There’s steak omelette has veggies, meat, hash browns, and lots of eggs… Huge! Had there French toast last week pretty good… Not spatular but good… Even though I hop is not the best breakfast food out there I do like to come to an I hop once In awhile… there’s a big parking lot… this i hop is not 24 hours… I don’t know why everyone tells me that its weird that this I hop is not 24 hours… but whatever…

The family has never been to an IHOP before. We where not impressed to say the least. Maple syrup was not real, just fake corn syrup. Stuffed French toast was more like a donut with canned fruit on top. The turkey bacon was cold and rubbery. Hash browns were ok.
Service is normal for Staten Island, and that isn’t saying much.

Big steak omelette all the way! Master Kim is a gentlemen, he’s always saying hello to guests and making people feel comfortable.

this IHOP isn’t so bad but the service takes forever to deliver food to the table and forever to get seated even when they aren’t packed.
Although being a big lover of breakfast and pancakes i do really enjoy coming here.
The cheesecake pancakes are a great GREAT start to any pancake enthusiast’s day

Came here with my family because I had never been to an IHOP and I really wanted to try.
We entered the large restaurant and were seated immediately. We came here on a Sunday morning, so the restaurant was pretty full. Their menu is very extensive, so it took a while for us to choose. We ordered the big steak omelette, strawberry crepes and strawberry pancakes. We also had sausages, eggs over easy, bacon and has browns as well.
I think the best dish was the omelette. Super hearty and filling. The crepes were not that great, and the pancakes were barely any better. I suggest going to a real diner for these. The rest of the food was average, nothing super special.
If you’re in the mood for IHOP, you come here. That’s all it is. Nothing spectacular, but it’s «good old IHOP»

I really like this IHOP. Try the funnel cakes or waffles.

Whenever I take off from from work, I find myself in a different IHOP. This one had strawberry cheesecake pancakes. 5 Big F’N stars.
