We used to order from here quite often & really enjoyed it. The last few times I’ve tried to order they don’t answer the phone! Both numbers continue to ring with no answer or machine. We’ve since started ordering elsewhere even though it’s not at good

These people are really unfriendly and the sushi isn’t that tasty.

I ate here recently. The food was very good. However, upon returning home I realized that my hands were swollen to the point that I could not remove my wedding ring. I am guessing excessive MSG or perhaps mild food poisoning. Either way, it ruined my plans to head out and disprove George Costanza’s ring theory.

Definitely my favorite sushi place on Staten Island. Louis and Xiaofen are fantastic hosts and the sushi is always excellent. I have gone here dozens of times and have ordered many delivery/​pick-​up orders. Kyoto is a quality sushi joint.

I enjoy coming here for a quick and delicious meal. The place is small and it’s nothing fancy but the sushi is nice and fresh. I also like the prices, they don’t over charge you and you can get a salad, dessert, and sushi for 2 for $ 20! The staff is also very welcoming, which is also a plus.

The salmon and avocado roll is fresh. Love the tuna and avocado roll. The price is very reasonable.

I absolutely LOVE the sushi. I’ve had it in store & also with delivery… it’s always fresh & always delicious!

I’ve order from Kyoto several time. Though they have a big selection of food I think they are meant to be a sushi restaurant. I always get the spicy shrimp with mango. Completely worth the extra dollar.
I’ve also tried their pad Thai and wouldn’t get it again. It was too saucy for me and the noodles didn’t taste like they were cooked all the way.
I would order sushi again but would avoid their thai food together.

Used to be a regular about 7 years ago when I lived on the island and at that time I would’ve given 5 stars. Ordered take out, kani salad (tasted fresh however more lettuce than crabmeat and I asked for it spicy, and they accommodated for a mild spiciness), miso soup (they forgot to include in the order), two rolls with brown rice-​spicy crunch salmon & tuna. I asked for extra spicy mayo which was 65 cents each. They called me back after I paid with credit card to tell me that they don’t have brown rice because they are very busy and they will give me spicy mayo for free to compensate for charging me already with brown rice. I honestly don’t know if that was an even exchange however I agreed. Food came in about 30 minutes. Spicy crunchy tuna and salmon were mediochre at best, with a thin layer of white rice around the roll which I prefer. Rolls didn’t taste especially fresh, however not as bad as supermarket sushi taste if you know what I mean. I would prefer the experience of eating in however street parking is such a nightmare around there. I’ll rewrite review when I eat in and try special rolls.

By far the BEST sushi on Staten Island! The fish is always SUPER fresh, the restaurant is always very clean, the staff is friendly and attentive. Once I started going to Kyoto Sushi, I refused to eat sushi anywhere else on Staten Island. Their prices are very low for the excellent quality of food. Lunch menu is even more of a bargain! 5 out of 5 stars in all categories!

I constantly order delivery from here because the sushi is really, really, ridiculously fresh. Their salmon avocado roll, in particular, is exquisite. They also have some pretty cool options that I haven’t really seen at the other sushi places on this stretch of Forest Avenue — e.g. uni and king crab. They also deliver really quickly — I usually order on Seamless, I live a couple of miles away, and they’re at my door in about 20 minutes. Anyway, I can’t recommend this place highly enough, all of their food is super-​fresh which is (unfortunately) kind of rare for sushi places on Staten Island.

Don’t order here from online, they will deliver to your about 2hours. i asked delivery guy, he say nothing, terrible service. never oeder again.

Their regular rolls are okay, spicy tuna, sweet potato etc, nothing too out of the ordinary, but they are relatively inexpensive (3 – 4 $)
Where Kyoto shines are their special rolls, every one of them that I have tried has been delicious. Spicy girl, Mexican Roll, Autumn roll. They were all unique and tasty.
Delivery is prompt and the food is constantly fresh and well prepared. This is our go to spot when it comes time to order sushi on the island.
Also they’re on Mileage Plus Dining, which means extra miles towards your next trip.

absolutely amazing. I order from this establishment at least 3 times a week. I constantly order a salmon and avocado roll and hibachi shrimp fried rice. very tasty and food is fresh

I truly wish they could keep «A» rating; Very scared to eat at a sushi restaurant That can’t maintain that.

Kyoto has Fresh Sushi that’s nicely prepared by a pleasant staff.

Great place for sushi, right down the street from home so it convenient too… but most importantly, the sushi is fresh and service is good.
It’s a small, quaint restaurant but decorated in a traditional Japanese motif, so it’s a nice place to bring a date.

I had a Philly, Godzilla, and tiger roll… And they were delicious … The staff is friendly and is a nice little place for a nice date! Recommend … Yes!
