I’ve been going for many years. Good price and best quality suishi I’ve had on the south shore of Staten Island. Great staff and overall good food.

Sushi is pretty fresh. Waitress are nice. Looks like they have expended their menu, as there are some additional Korean and Japanese hot dishes. We have tried the katsu curry rice and it is pretty good.

Just got delivery like a second ago :) I got ~ Tofu bibimbap, miso soup, spicy tuna roll, chicken tempura roll, california roll, and a ***RAMUNEDRINK***!: D ~~~ How neat is that? I was pissed off because I ordered through seamless and *just* missed the lunch special, like as my cc info was going through :(Then I couldn’t find my stupid phone in time to call and try to see if I could still qualify for it ~ So all these things cost significantly more than if I had been able to get the lunch special(I basically just had to order the rolls individually instead of as a combo of 3… ~____~ Which didn’t come with soup any longer obviously… so I had to purchase a miso soup as well. So yeah, that part isn’t fun. But on to the food ~ everything is delicious, the bibimbap was not too salty, and was a very large portion with all fresh crunchy vegetables, and the egg was not overdone. I was disappointed that there was not any whole kicmchi or other kind of a more strongly flavored pickled bit in the bibimbap, but it came with a nice spicy sauce(like a kimchi base) that had a similar taste, that was tasty enough to make up for that. The rice was cooked properly, nothing was mushy or the wrong consistency at all :) Sushi~ Yummy! I have no complaints — definitely not anything out of this world, but definitely very good/nom. The chicken tempura roll arrived still crispy, the california roll and spicy tuna roll were both fresh, and the rice on these also was cooked and distributed properly throughout the rolls. The miso soup was yummy miso soup ~ not like the very msg heavy more fast food kind you get sometimes. Ramune was, ramune: D Which is great. It came with a little salad that I just mixed right into the bibimbap to have more crunch. The salad dressing is very good, as everyone has already said. I will definitely order again! I suppose with my budget, I should prob make sure to give myself ample time to make sure I get the lunch special o_o

Very Good sushi! I’ve been going there for few times now to try their sushi because my wife had sushi craving late at night. When you going into a restaurant late at night, they’re not happy to serve you because they’re about to close. I went there two night in a row and they had no problem and made sure i was served quickly and with a smile.

Good food with fast service and reasonably priced sake. Went here to meet up with some friends this past weekend and the overall dining experience was good. The spider roll I got was excellent and the sashimi boat was great as well. The baked sea bass dish we got was also great. My favorite is the vegetable salad dressing also so be sure to try it!

Been coming here for years. They always give us huge portions and the salad dressings are delicious. The owners are super friendly and will greet you warmly. Just renovated and added«privacy» wooden panels around the tables as well as lamps and full Japanese design paper window displays. They have great Japanese food and the owners are Korean so they also serve authentic Korean food. If you have a Korean dish in mind that’s not on the menu, you should ask the owner if they can make it. If you order the Korean dish, you can also request kimchi. Cheers!

Horrible… I’ve been going for ages and ever since last year they’ve been slipping tremendously. I came home and felt sick… it’s not food poisoning(thank Christ!) but I didn’t feel right after eating their sushi. Never going again… what a shame! They need to be under new management because the people their now are deadbeats! Stay away! Far away! It’s tasteless sushi, one of the worst on the island. I’m not sure whether or not the sushi chef rubs the sushi with his bare hands or what but it DIDNOTTASTERIGHTATALL! They should be given a B rating… B– even! That’s better to me. that’s more sensible. And this is the icing on the cake. That moment when you realize a waitress, a hot, beautiful, sexy waitress isn’t permitted to tips but to give them to the owner of the restaurant. unreal! I gave her $ 10 anyway. such a hard-worker and so sweet and patient. awesome person! I hope one day the owner will realize that her actions are not only corrupted but illegal too. a waitress is the legs they stand on! And that position demands respect! I would’ve given her a $ 100 if I had it! I should take this matter to the BBB(Better Business Bureau)… so completely illegal! Not good. And wrong! Corrupted! What the fuck kind of way is that to do business? Really? I’m shutting this place down because this burns me up!

My go to restaurant when visting my family in Staten Island. I love love love sushi but Im always picky/careful because so many places dont serve fresh and clean sushi/sashimi. But Tokyo sushi serves really fresh food and is one of the few sushi places that my parents trust. The sushi rolls are soooooo good, and what I usually order. They also serve other korean dishes too that my parents order once in a while. Dont forget the tempura ice cream! The batter/tempura is perfect in crispiness and thickness. And the portions are big enough to share… But my sister and I always order our own… Haha sad I could probably eat another it’s that good. The staff is always friendly(maybe because we eat a lot haha), and attentive. Good for large parties because its spacious and a lot of tables. Best sushi restaurant in Staten Island!

The place is located in a plaza next to basket robins, a pork store and a deli. They have their own parking area. You should not have any problem with problem. As for public transportation, the s62/s61/s66 and s93 runs by it. The establishment is big and can seat a lot of people. So they are good for large groups. They have two big screens, great place for a date that is going bad. I order a miso soup and it was delish. Since I am a vegan and my options are limitied. I order a seaweed salad and avocado rolls. It was good but the avocado rolls was done«de mala gana» spanish for sloppy, crappy, like the worker didnt want to be there. One roll looked bigger than the other. It was good and fresh but to me presentation means everything. My dad got the combination bento box. He said his food was good and fresh. After we was done, it took forever and a day to get the check. We have to bascially scream at waitress to get the check. Tips 1. I made an observation. Their was another couple dining at the same time as us. They have to get up and go to the cash register just to order their food. 2. Their house red wine got me a little buzz. 3. Just go to cashier and pay your bill. You will be waiting forever for your bill. 4. They have a lifetime membership club. You pay a $ 10 flat fee and every time you purchase something you get 5% off. In the card, it also says you get other promtions and offer.

I have been visiting this restaurant for about a year now. The service and the food are consistently very good. When I’m lucky I get fresh oysters. They also have a good selection of cold sake’s.

Update: staffing is better, more prompt and on point. Even when it isn’t the sushi chef will get you what you want ASAP, very nice guy. Moved it to 5 stars because even when the waitresses eff up, they are kind respectful and acknowledge they’re mishap.

Awesome salad dressings. Seared salmon roll is amazing. Spicy salmon roll is awesome. The sushi chef Tau is the best on Staten Island!

Food is always fresh and delicious! Recommend their meat dishes and of course the sushi. The owner makes home made dressings that are so good, you can eat them by the tablespoon. Staff is always nice and friendly. The owners are sweethearts. They have live Japanese music which is completely different and refreshing. The establishment is family owned and run and completely authentic.

This place is a bit pricey for sub standard sushi and poor service. There were tables that needed to be cleaned when I got there and when I finished dining, the same tables were still not cleaned. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here again

Ordered Korean food, and was overwhelmed by the price. Minimum delivery is $ 30 and ordering for one person racked me up to $ 42. Since there is only a couple of Korean places in Staten Island, they have totally monopolized. $ 31 for kalbi(beef short ribs) Also the delivery took about 1 ½ hrs(this place is only a few blocks away) Perhaps dining in will be a much more pleasant experience.

Excellent sushi. The best I’ve had in a while. The pink dragon roll was really great. Had mostly salmon things and all super fresh. The homemade salad dressing was fantastic too!

Sushi is very good. High quality and prepared very well. Sushi doesn’t fall apart when you dip it in soy sauce. Great old school Japanese environment and friendly staff. Prices were a little steep considering we ordered the lunch specials but other than than a great overall experience. Highly recommend!
