I love Novellis Pork Store. Last week I stopped in to Novellis just to pick up some quick items for dinner. I had a few guests over and didn’t feel like cooking. Not only did the food taste like home made my guests literally were raving about the the dinner(I just heated up:) At the end of the meal I told them that I ordered everything from Novellis pork Store on Amboy rd. Great helpful staff, supper clean and totally delicious food.

Nice authentic fresh Italian salumeria. You need it they have it. Their catering is absolutely outstanding. I was very impressed. Their fresh mozzarella is hands down the best on the island also the best I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend this store to anyone who appreciates Italian imports and fresh good quality food.

In the past Novelli’s was a nice place. Now it’s over priced and needs to be cleaned up. I ordered hot catering and when i opened the foil pans there were vegetables like broccoli along both sides. When I called to say I didn’t order any vegetables they told me no we give you those for free, except their in the space of my half tray where I paid for eggplant rollatini, stuffed shells, etc. Broccoli doesn’t go with these food items their just trying to rip you off and give you less of what you paid for.

This place used to be a premium place for cold cuts and meat, but over the last few years, it has really gone down the tube. The guys behind the counter are rude, unfriendly, and make comments about the way women look while they’re working. I also ordered a 6 foot hero for a party at the end of last year and the meat was old, dry, and hardly there; it was all bread and no meat. I was recently in a rush and needed to grab something quick before I hit the road, so I ran into Novelli’s — now, I have been going to this place for 20 years, and even though it had been shoddy lately, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt — well, I asked for ham and cheese on a hero — pretty easy, right? I get spiced ham with cheese and MUSTARD on WHITEBREAD?! That was the last and final straw; I’d rather go to Stop & Shop.

I have been a customer of Novelli’s for the past few years. They always offer a wide variety of prepared foods that are delicious! As well as carrying hard to find ingredients for all of my cooking needs. The staff is friendly and always helpful. They also have specialty items for the holidays that my family and I love, mozzarella shaped like bunnies and turkeys and the best Irish soda bread I have ever tasted. Novelli’s is also a great place to stop for coffee and a bagel before my morning commute.

I have been going there for a long time now and I find the place fantastic. I love the quality of meats and the hot food is just as good. They do catering of hot foods, big party hero’s, cheese and cold cut platters and they are so reasonable priced. I had my superbowl party catered by them and the food was a hit. All the prepared foods are always fresh and delicious. Very well organized, very clean.

Absolutely horrible! novelli’s is not only dirty but a freaking rip off. I was desperate yesterday for chicken cutlets. since I lived in the neighborhood for 32 years, I didn’t want to go far before the snow started, I ran there. I got my overpriced cutlets, but continued to walk around the meat counters. Saw a package of pinwheels thst was price $.98. «Awesome deal» I think to myself. It’s just 2(normally there is 3) but still cool! I get to the register and either the cashier is completely stupid or trying to rip off the market she works fir. She starts ringing up my stuff but I notice to never totaled out the guy in front order of $ 53. So she tells me my chicken cutlets and pinwheel are $ 62. I say to her a little sarcastic, «does thst seem right?» So she re-rings up my order and starts yelling at me. «OHNOYOUDONT! YOUCANTGETTHEPINWHEELSFOR $.98.» So I grab another package from the meet counter that is marked $.86. And«They are 99 cents a pound! I actually want both packs» She starts screaming for the manager. He comes over and yells at me that it’s a mistake and I can’t have them for thst price. I explain that it’s markerd that price snd he has to give it to me for thst price. He rips them out of my hand like an animal and tells me «I’m not a big supermarket, I don’t have to give you anything!» Instead of making a Big commotion, I paid and I left with only my chicken cutlets. Never going back there again. EVER! What a$$holes!

I had a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch and in between fresh slice of chicken was an old dried up slice of chicken. I haven’t been there since and will never go back. That’s very bad business practice !!!

Nothing to really review about this place… These places afe a dime a dozen in staten ialand. Almost clean, alittle pricey, all the fooda… ok…nothings great and the workers would rather snap gum and Bs with each other than talk to you… typical

Unless you’re desperate for a bite or need a loaf of bread, I wouldn’t bother. The place has gotten dirty since they changed hands and the mouths on the guys working behind the deli counters are more foul than a truck driver’s. I’ve seen them pick food up off the floor, and STILL put it back in the fridge! Disgusting! And trust me… My family has been living in this neighborhood for 32 years and has been going to this place since I was a kid. But not anymore.

Nice little Italian pork store in a shopping center, a co-worker and I came here for a quick bite to eat, they had all different types of pastas, meats, cold cuts, frozen sauce, even a bakery inside. Just a typical Italian deli. I loved that they had different types of olives, I love olives and had me some stuffed provolone and regular grape olives. They were good. They also make sandwiches, wraps and breakfast here too. I ordered me a wrap it was not bad but I think I had me better honestly, I felt the grilled chicken was too grilled– hate that charcoal taste! It cost me $ 6 too. Deli workers are nice. I seen they have pre-seasoned meats or pre-cooked rice balls or small other appetizer foods you can purchase. It’s a small deli so not much but I enjoyed it for the 10 mins I was in there and the workers were nice overall.

This place is the pits. Their«Fresh Mozarella» has absolutely zero milk creaminess. It would not surprise me if they cut up big hunks of Polly O and sprinkled some salt on it. Deli counter guys are low lifes who obviously hate their job and only light up when they see some attractive unattainable(for them) women in the store. Rude beyond belief. The lowest of the low this place. Would rather starve, than give this place any business.

I love everything about this place. The cutlets, stuffed breaded mushrooms, stuffed cherry peppers, rice balls, sausage buns, potato croquettes, spinach, broccoli raab(sp), bagels, mozzarella, cold cuts, pastries, etc. The list goes on. Hell… even the damned rice pudding is very good. I had them cater a NYC bachelor party many years ago. Fifteen or so participants; nothing but praise about the food. Of course, I took the place for granted when I resided here and it was a five minute drive away. Now, if I want something along these lines, I either have to patronize what San Francisco or Los Angeles has to offer(a weak choice) or call Joe and have him send me an overnight care package. I’ve taken the overnight option a couple times in the past and loved it. So did my co-workers at the time. Nowadays, when I visit the Island, I’ll load up on Novelli’s goodies and transport it back myself. I’ve said it before: Staten Islanders have it very good in the food department. Novelli’s is yet another excellent reason why.
