Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices

A summer, a month, a week, a day (okay now I’ve taken that too far), is never complete with a cold Ralph’s ice. I wish I could take this delicacy with me for those warm nights where popsicles and ice cream just don’t fit the cut. These little gems are made of little flakes of heaven, if only I know what makes this so darn good and addictive.
There’s about a million flavors across their board. Okay maybe not, but maybe enough to try one flavor a day for each good sunny summer day.
A major flaw of this Ralph’s location — is just that, their location. This location is ever so not conveniently on Hylan Blvd, only having access when traveling south bound. And you know real well with NYC’s 122 Precinct across the street and traffic on that road as it is, you will not be crossing that road if you are going north bound — aka you’re out of luck. Parking is tight and so are the turns in and out of that lot in general.

As you can expect, the summer lines are fairly high volume. Once you accept that this will happen to you, it all gets better. I most recently had a Ralphaccino, which is a grade higher than the frapaccino in my opinion. Coffee and the rich Ralph’s taste of ice cream go together naturally. Very much worth the buy.

stop telling me you shut off your shake machines an hour before closing and can’t make me a damn shake lol. one girl tried to tell me «They automatically turn off for 24 hours» and when I said oh so you can’t use them again till tomorrow night? She panicked and i was like whatever lmao other then that its fine but jeez is it that hard to clean a blender?!

they give no ice for the price they charge! Fill up the cup or don’t charge that much!

This place is walk up counter in a strip mall (lots of parking but a fair chunk is designated for other business so be careful). These treats are amazing, quickly delivered, and right next to a neighborhood if you want to take a stroll although I would have preferred a bench nearby. I wish Ralph’s had a location closer to me because they are so cheap and delicious I couldn’t resit. Or maybe it’s better to have it rarely and not spoil myself so it’s good to keep them away.
Tried the Peach and tasted the Cherry, both were wonderful. I think next time Ill have to try a Crème Ice vs the Water Ice and looking forward to it!

Recently tried this place after living in Staten Island for over 5 years. WHERE HAS THIS PLACE BEEN ALL MY LIFE :((Came here 4 times in a week cause I just can’t get enough of their pistachio cream ice! TRY IT! Your taste buds will thank yaaaa!

The only bad thing here is how difficult it is to choose just one flavor! Actually they will let you combine flavors in one cup, get a scoop each of two flavors if you can’t decide. I like Spumoni and Canoli, also love the Jelly Ring! Too bad there is no seating. Really one of the best parts of summer!

holly flavors!!! couldn’t decide what flavor. my daughter got birthday cake, it has sprinkles in it and a bit sweet for me, but she loves it! as for me? humm love coconut? Must try the crazy coconut. it has almonds, chocolate chips and coconut flake. yum It’s awesome!!!

Ralph’s Ices is definitely the place to go for Ices! My favorite is «Jelly Ring» how could you go wrong chocolate ice with bite size jelly rings. As I ordered my jelly ring I saw they had a new flavor «Red Velvet Ice», so being a big fan of Red Velvet Cake I asked to taste it. It was really good and I look forward to getting it the next time. My Lauren loves the vanilla shakes too! Service with a smile…

) for a reason: it’s a NYC staple, and a darn good way to beat the city heat of summer.
There are several locations of Ralph’s these days, but this one seems to be off the beaten path a little bit. It’s tucked away just outside a quaint and super neighborhood, and with just a handful of reviews… the wait is almost non-​existant. And the best of all is that if you’re lactose intolerant or generally don’t like dairy, there are straight ice options to keep your body regulated as well.
As good as advertised! I just wish there was one in Manhattan. One day…

For a hot minute, I thought Taiwanese shaved ice was the best thing on Earth. I boasted about it, traveled to Flushing for it, and went to every fair and night market for it. I annoyed my friends with this ice addiction. And now… I have a new love.
Ralph’s Italian Ice. It’s smoother, lighter, and more affordable than Taiwanese shaved ice. Italian ice is a great ice cream alternative but if you still need your ice cream fix, Ralph’s has soft serve and some amazing looking sundaes. My eyes were going to pop when I saw the sundae with apple syrup. Thank God, I don’t live on Staten Island. I’d be at Ralph’s every night cuz I’m cheap like that.
Last night I indulged in cream ice– peanut butter cookie dough and graham crumble. It was so smooth, so flavorful, and so refreshing. That is until it got sickeningly sweet. The graham crumble literally tasted like graham crackers and butter crust. I’ll be choosing not as sweet flavors next time. Maybe I’ll go for the water ice too. There are about 70 flavors to choose from. It’s insane.
After last night’s ice run, I thought I’d be good for awhile. Nope, I woke up thinking about it and all the flavors I want to try. I’m already plotting my next SI trip. Ralph’s and Fort Wadsworth. Yup, don’t ever tell me there ain’t nothing going on on that island.

Nice local summer hangout, great selection of Italian Ices and other summer treats.
There are a ton of flavors to choose from cannoli, mudslide, blue hawaii, and malibu bay breeze ice. The shakes are great too!
I have been here plenty of times and will continue to keep coming back.
