Absolutely nothing special, as a matter a fact the burger was mediocre at best and the fries were cold and sucked, only giving 3 stars because fugi is a childhood friend. Sorry about the negative review but it is what it is, step your game up

The service was slow, but the food was pretty well. The portions were a little small for their price. I’m a big fan of them having such a wide selection of beer, I didn’t expect that from a burger restaurant.

My family and I are new to Staten Island and not impressed with the overall food choices on the Island(we’re from Brooklyn) but we had a great experience at Standard burger was cooked perfectly medium, service was great the went well beyond to make sure we were happy. The sangria had a nice kick and my son loved his shake. Well done Standard!

The new standard burger is awesome, order & grab a table and wait for your burger to arrive as per order, The owners will come out and greet you to see how things are going & how your doing. A must are the yuca fries which come with two sauces(reminds me of back at home in Puerto Rico) not your regular burger joint experience, it’s more as a dining experience.

(1) Marcus — Please cut your loses and don’t come back; These guys don’t listen obviously. (2) Floors were slippery; I nearly slipped. (3) We drove all the way from Queens — We loved the shower & we love Marcus. (4) Burgers — Not Fresh; No Taste! (5) Staff — Every is very friendly and polite and willing to help. (6) Store Appears Clean — But, again — You will slip all over the floors. (7) Toilets — Not Clean (8) Soda Fountain — Not Working Correctly (9) Are these Frozen Burgers — They certainly taste like. (10) Fries must have been prepared in old oil; the potatoes were staled. Overall: Poor Experience; We’ve made it back home to Queens — Bad experience!

Everything you want from a burger experience. Especially if you are expecting something special. I had the OMG burger. I assumed that with all the ingredients in this burger, that it would taste cluttered. Boy, was I off. It is a chorus of wonderful flaovors. Every flavor has its moment to shine. The succulent beef is clearly the main star. It will remind you of why you are not a vegan. The subtle sweetness of the plantains made me forget I’ve ever considered bbq sauce as an acceptable burger topping. Then, once you are comfortable, and your eyes are closed, the jalapeños wake you up. All I could do was muffle out a «Wow!» All the ingredients are well thought out, and play on your palette in a choreographed dance. Nothing is out of step, or too aggressive. The burger is constructed well. You can tell they thought about how to stack these toppings. Not once did anything slide, or fall out. I was reluctant to lend any credence to their claim as the best burger in NYC. I was clearly wrong. This was the best burger I’ve ever had.

I was never here before the TV show aired where they revamped the place. But my experience on 12÷15÷15 was phenomenal! I got the OMG. The burger was a perfect medium. I felt that the ingredients were a high quality & I felt good after eating. Which I can not say after eating a burger at Applebee’s or somewhere similar. I thought the plantain was very inventive. The fries were good and fresh. And the milkshakes were good as well. Parking wasn’t bad, the service is good, atmosphere is nice & clean, and the prices are right.

Far from Standard! This place is extraordinary! It’s a casual dining restaurant with classy and cozy atmosphere and VERYPROFESSIONALSERVICE! You can tell they value you business and take pride in serving you top quality food. The veggie burger is amazing. It is made with all fresh ingredients including kale and Quinoa. The Yuca fries are amazing. They have a nice size parking lot as well! You can have good food at many places. But excellent food and excellent service all at a great price you can’t beat that!

I thought the show made this place look very interesting, so I traveled from Harlem to check it out.(I had not seen the follow up show) Well, here’s what I found… — the burgers were very good — the fries were not hot. More like warm. — they had about 3 customers, yet they brought me someone else’s order. Shortly thereafter, I was informed of the error when they took it away. Minus a few fries. — when they brought the correct order, it was prepared incorrectly. — did I Mention warm fries? — also we received sauces with our different fries, but we had no indication of what they were until I used my finger to taste them. An explanation should have been provided. — Fuji was working, but he did not look happy. There were only 2 other employees. I really wanted to love this place, but it came up sadly short. Again, the burgers themselves were good.

I saw Standard Burger featured on an episode of ‘The Profit’. I used to live in the Grant City neighborhood of Staten Island, but moved upstate to the Lower Hudson Valley. After seeing the show, I made it a point to try out Standard Burger my next trip to Staten Island. SB didn’t disappoint. The burger I had was delicious! Their fries and chips were very good. Overall, my dining experience was very good. This would be a regular place for me to eat if I still lived on the island. But I strongly recommend this place to Staten Islanders and Brooklynites. Great menu and good prices!

Best burgers in Staten Island … PERIOD! Good variety, cooked to perfection! Great selection of craft beers! Shoestring French fries are tasty! I’ll definite eat there again!

I’ve been here quite a few times and am actually very picky about my burgers. They all were served just the way I asked and very juicy and flavorful. Fries are ok, not a big fan. Cashiers can be a little more friendly, and the one thing I did not like was that the guy who was flipping the burgers was also cleaning with the mop or broom. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Not bad, but way too greasy for me. For the price, I expected a bit better.

I came here today for lunch with my dad and we left so pleased! Considering it was our first time coming here(after seeing they had the #2 burger in NYC), we had high hopes. Upon arrival, I noticed it was much nicer than I expected. The ambiance is warm and modern. We both had the Standard Burger(we weren’t very adventurous) combo with fries and a drink(they have a fountain of «craft sodas» and also craft beers and sangria!!). At first, I thought $ 4 was a lot for fries, but i reevaluated after I received a giant plate of freshly cut fries. They brought the fries first to eat while we waited for our burger. The wait wasn’t long at all. Our burgers arrived and they were so yummy and also, all of the ingredients were fresh. The workers were all very polite and helpful. While we were waiting for our food, the girl behind the counter came over to ask how things were and if she could get anything for us. It was great! I definitely recommend Standard.

I have ordered here three times before and it has been getting progressively worse. Customer service skills are horrible from the girls they employ. This place is completely overrated. All 3 times I have ordered we’re take out using grub hub so the order wouldn’t get messed up because everything is written down the way I would like it. First time everything was made to perfection and I had no complaints. Second time I ordered the Texan burger which was way over cooked and the chef forgot the bacon and onions but didn’t forget to put the BBQ sauce on the side or add the jalapeños I asked for. Don’t understand how that happens. Third time, I decided to try them one more time. It is my final time in this overrated burger joint. Went to get my fountain soda and there were no lids. I asked the girl at the register for more lids. She returned with lids for a different size cup, which she saw didn’t fit and left. She then came back with food for another table and walked right past me. Once I look at her she says«oh yea we don’t have anymore lids so I don’t know what to tell you». Also asked for jalapeños on my burger which they didn’t add. Can’t seem to get the right toppings. Maybe the fourth time is a charm in this place? This place is completely overrated, and I won’t be back here. Staten Island needs more burger choices!

Don’t belive the hype. This burger joint was pretty standard before the make over, and not much has changed. Just bcuz your restaurant is on TV doesn’t mean it’s great. Yes, the décor is 100 x better then before. The menu has few items, burgers, fries, etc. They came up with fancy shmancy names for their burgers and even jacked up the price. They added more seating and better lighting and even a space to make ice cream. The restaurant was very clean and the temperature was slightly warm. The Staff seemed friendly and eager to help. The OMG burger was average at best, and will set you back more then $ 10.00 and that doesn’t include fries or a drink. If you want the top burger that will cost you and arm and a leg. I wasn’t crazy about the fries either. If i didn’t pay so much, I may have tried the shake. My only beef, no punt intended, is that if your going to charge Manhattan prices, your burger should be just as good. For now i guess this is a better place for a burger on the south shore, but i won’t be coming back after smash burger opens.

I saw this place on the profit, and I had to check it out. Typically Staten Island is the forgotten borough, so I was surprised to see a place featured on TV. We ordered the OMG and Texan burger with yuca fries and baked potato. Also got a black and white milkshake for free(had a coupon)! Everything was AH-MAZ-ING! Yuca fries were crispy and soft on the inside with two sauces paired with them. Burgers were cooked to a perfection. A delicious combination of flavors. I never had anything like it. Milkshake was pretty good, but baked potato was nothing special. Kind of regretted ordering it for a whopping $ 5 but whatever. Everything else made up for it lol The only bad thing was… I would have preferred everything to be ready and delivered at the same time. I got one individual item at a time. It would be finished and I had to wait for the next item. Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me, but I don’t have time to wait around. Besides that, it met my very high expectations. I’ll definitely be back.

The new and improved Standard Burger. After seeing the place on Marcus Lemonis’ show, «The Profit», I was excited to come in and try them out again. I loved this place before but the five SB guys have done a seemingly impossible thing, they improved to a higher standard something that was already excellent. The place is so much warmer and homey feeling. It really feels upscale but casual at the same time. The outdoor patio is an excellent option for al fresco dining on a nice evening. They have excellent micro-brand sodas in bottle and fountain which sets them apart from all the other places. And as for the food, my goodness, that is definitely the best burger I have had. It is juicy, well seasoned, cooked to your liking and delightfully delicious. The hand cut fries which are cut and made fresh to order are scrumptious being perfectly cooked in their own oil blend. There is an option to build your own burger which I recommend. They now have a baked potato area where you can get a baked potato or baked sweet potato with a variety of delicious topings. There is also a dessert bar with fantastic milkshakes, ice cream, and cupcakes. The Tiramisu shake is my favorite. This is the best of the best, elevating the burger, fries and shake combo to higher standard. As a 7th generation Staten Islander I’m proud that it all started here on Staten Island.

Huge difference since new opening. Ordered the Texan Med, and it was done exactly the way it should be. A cheat day with a burger demands it be cooked to order. Fresh cut fries were fantastic, big order for one person. Bun was good and meat was juicy and quality. $ 19.60 for burg, fr & water. But they nailed it. Hopefully they keep the consistency, Its what counts the most. Staff was overly helpful and on point. Place is spotless. and outside table area is way nicer than a bench or iron seats. Heading back to try veggie burger next. Good luck on new launch.
