Went here while on vacation. I always try to find a good local coffee shop when I travel. This one fits the bill just fIne. I stumbled on it the first time. Very good latte for me, smooth and not bitter at all, and mocha for my son, which he said was awesome. Made a 2nd trip for the same drinks and again very good. Nothing special about the ambiance but the coffee is good.

As a lover of coffee, this place is hands donw the best coffee in town. The closest you can get to the real thing, sorry Starbucks but you just don’t even compare.

I am giving five stars for service, quality of drinks and a GREATNIGHTOFSALSADANCING! I have to start with the latter: I know, a coffee shop by day and Salsa dancing by night? They don’t always offer Salsa dancing, you have to be on the look out for those special nights that the very hip and talented Latino dancers /DJ’s come flatter us with their tunes and moves. Not sure if Latino is the correct term since we had dancers from Honduras, Peru, Brazil and several other countries, all great dancers. One local Zumba Instructor came out not to instruct but to let loose and it’s a ‘thing’ to watch! I am not sure what was more fun watching them dance or shaking a few moves along side of them. One Peruvian beauty was kind enough to give us a Peruvian style line dance lesson ~ so fun! The service was a pleasant surprise as I walked in to find my favorite bartenders from another establishment; The Powder Room. Scott(aka Will Farrell look alike) and our favorite Black Stud Michael who can dance as well as he tends bar. The drinks were made with LOVE; even the water tasted extra special. I really appreciated the freshness of the drinks. The best Margaritas in Steamboat; made with fresh lime and Agave. No premix or concentrated juices, just lots of love. They were talking about doing a CHiP’s and Salsa night for Halloween; come dressed as your favorite celebrity cop and enjoy Salsa dancing; sounds like a fun night to me. I plan on dressing like Erika Huerta from Police Women of Broward County(TLC) but not sure if I can stand my hair that tight in a bun!!! OUCH.

Friendly owner and staff. Fantastic coffee. Great location. Everything you want in a coffee shop. They even have a custom cupcake/pastry chef that offers great fun treats. Best in Steamboat.

Coffee! Chai! I could care less about the décor, food or staff. Amante is tops at what I came in for. A+

It’s hard to find good coffee in small towns. But Amante get’s it close. It’s not just about taste(although it’s a lot), it’s also about presentation. And I’m not talking a cup of coffee. I’m talking crema. The creamy, silky milk that goes into a latte. That’s what I’m talking about. And Amente gets it. They fall a little short on the macchiato. It’s still a little bitter and can’t always get the silk just right. But they try.

Love this place. Love it in boulder love it in steamboat love it. I’m not big on the pastries/food — they seem quite expensive, and the few things I’ve purchased haven’t been the best, but the coffee is wonderful.

Thanks to Amante, I will either be singing Copacabana, Super Trouper, or Hit Me Baby One More Time all day… an eclectic mix of coffee tunes? For sure, but it sure makes Sunday morning coffee pretty enjoyable. Amante really has location going for it — on the main strip headed up to the slopes, nestled next to the movie theatre, Sports Authority, and a few local shops and a bank. I’m sad to say I’m off the coffee for a while, so I tried their chai — which is a bit spicy, just the way I like it. I finally broke down and tried one of those Breggo sandwiches you see in coffee shops everywhere. They’re not the tastiest sandos in the world, but they get the job done. Amante also offers a small selection of scones and biscottis, and of course bags of beans if you want to take some caffeine home with you for later. The staff is super friendly, and seems to know all the regulars on a first-name basis. Nice to know if I spent more time up here, they’d start recognizing me. I really like that Amante has a little bar next to the coffee counter as well, so if you feel like having a beer, wine, or a coffee martini while you chill out, you can do so. Although, 10:30 a.m. is probably a little too early for me to start drinking. Oh, who am I kidding. I’m going to order a spiked chai right now.

Brent and Trish bring a great local flavor. It’s so nice to get an enthusiastic greeting, be remembered and have owners that are in the store to keep the service level high.

This coffeehouse is fantastic. It has all the coffee stuffs, but also a real bar as well! The staff is friendly, the wifi is free, and did I mention there is booze there as well? This was a great place to stop on the way out of town so you have a warm latte for the road, I’m just bummed we didn’t realize the fun happy hour specials and stop by sooner!

Forget the burnt coffee at Starbucks, this place is the real deal. The baristas are efficient and personable. I do agree with Spaceman S. in that the décor isn’t my favorite(I prefer the Walnut St location in Boulder), but it is clean and bright. The shop opens early… I’ve been in a couple times while on vacation to get some work done before hitting the slopes(they have free WiFi). The location is excellent as it’s off the south end of Lincoln Ave near the foot of the mountain. Amante is a chain local to Colorado with just 3 stores including a shop in Steamboat. Go there: support local businesses.

Located in Wildhorse Plaza at Mt. Werner and I-40 on the edge of Steamboat near the Sports Authority. The place is not bad, the coffee is decent, the staff is friendly enough. The crowd is varied, but often consisting of the staff’s poser friends playing their funky music on the sound system and generally having a good olé time. the biggest detractor is the décor, which is post-modern, concrete and steel, feeling pretty sterile overall. Nice try though. Free internet is available, so if your traveling or on vacation, this might not be a bad place to stop, although I would rather go to Off the Beaten Path downtown, slower internet, but better coffee and food.
