used to really like this place. after my most recent visit i doubt I’ll ever go back. the old guy running the place is evidently the only one who knows how to cook without burning everything beyond edible. we recieved 3 hot dogs and waffle fries on a carry out order and ALL of it was burned badly. the dogs were cooked so hard they made crunching noise when trying to even cut it. the fries were also burned terribly and was very obvious to the eye. so basically this chump who can’t even cook a hotdog gave us terrible food he knew he killed. i hope Phil gets this review personally so he can see how the place is ran when he isn’t there to cater to his cooks complete lack of kitchen ability. so long to 20+ years for this customer.

It’s an old school no-frills Coney place. The menu is not as long as other places, and the food is solid. You walk in and it could be 1960 or it could be 2016. It’s a little dive with nothing fancy. No neon, no TVs, not super bright inside(kind of dim). The service was fine. I almost expected to hear someone say«cheezburger, cheezburger.» The chili was good, I’m not sure about paying $.40 more for a lonely Kraft single folded up on top. The hot dogs had a nice snap, it was a little burnt on one side. Everything was good, but I was expecting a little more from the reviews. Next time, I’d probably drive down the road to Phoenix for a little less scratch.

They have the best chili fries! Really good fish and chips, and also kabob pita. In this day in age where everything is over-priced, it’s refreshing to get a good meal at a decent price.

Love it! Truly a mom & pop operation, the restaurant has been in Riverland for decades. Hubby used to eat here when he was in high school. The décor is old school — graduation pictures, checkered tile floor, vinyl booths, one-person-at-a-time bathrooms.. it’s awesome! Hubby swears by the coney dogs — I love the veggie pita. We always get cheese fries — they melt a slice of cheese over the fries in the microwave. Priceless and delicious! Cash only please!

After multiple carry-outs and eating on the run, I thought Id dine in for breakfast. Walked in past the crew of regulars at the counter, found a booth towards the back, ordered a gyro omelet with feta & gyro meat for $ 4.95 w/toast I did not desire or have room for hash browns which even saved me a buck. Coffee $ 1.40 With all the places around town that charge $ 7.00 + for omelets, I was not sure what to expect for under a fin, but was I blown away. Plenty of veggies, meat & cheese, plus it was cooked perfectly with a hint of grille marks. Place is truly old school and stuck in time, in a good way. Glass plates, the old fashioned coffee creamer served in a stainless steel holder, plenty of coffee refills and a smiling server. CA$H ONLY Looking forward to Monday 11−9−15 and there usually coney day sale for $ 1

One of my favorite Coney Islands in Michigan. Believe me when I say I have been to many. I enjoy an omelette, hash browns, toast and my bill is under $ 4! They also have the best mozzarella sticks and ranch. Always crispy and hot. The setting is quiet and relaxed. No rush and usually just a few people in there. Only cons to the place is that they are cash only and not open on sundays. Even if you have to stop at the atm and pull out some cash it will be worth it. All in all I highly recommend the place. I have never left this place hungry or unhappy. Important note: Cash Only! Believe me it’s worth hitting the atm. This place is the cheapest coney anywhere.

It has been a while since last time here(5−6years). So this time took my wife and daughter(23) and everybody loved it. While it was very slow, not many patrons, the service was darn good and attentive and the food wAs very good. I had the shish kabob sandwich and a coney. My wife a coney and my daughter had their version of National’s Hanni sandwich and some chilli cheese fries. The girls loved the fries and I loved my chicken s/which the best. This place has been here forever and is well worth going to, no disappointed customers.

I’ve been going here for years, they have the best authentic Coney Island style hot dogs and chile very comparable to Layfayette and American in Detroit.

I tired this place and I am not a fan. The service was slow and the food was not that good. They do have good chilli that is all that is good.
