I’ve been a customer of Tung Lee’s since the 80’s. I go there for my usual… Boneless almond chicken and«DETROIT» egg rolls! Honestly since I moved to the other side of the state I can no longer get those awesome egg rolls. When I come back home to visit I typically get about 12 egg rolls to go that with the plum sauce is outstanding. Yeah the interior is dark and foreboding but its always been like that. I never dine in but the lady that’s been behind the counter for decades has always been awesome to me and my family. One could argue that’s because I’m a regular so to speak. I don’t understand all these terrible ratings, I’ve found so many other places that were WAY worse. They will always get my vote.

Very cold interior. Terrible service which is always a travesty when you’re the only ones in the empty dining room. Our oldest son commented upon entering that the place smelled like grandma’s basement. We only got to order half our meal and the server disappeared until returning with half the food. So we opted to feed the kids and eat our lunch somewhere else. Soda by the can but reasonable at $.90.

Location/Parking: Located at Dodge Park and 15 Mile with ample parking available shared by other business within the strip mall Pricing: Pretty reasonable Cleanliness: I remember this place being one of the dirtiest places in Metro Detroit a few years back on one of the news channels. It’s so dark inside that you can’t see the floors. Service Quality: The lady that works up front is kinda crazy… bit rude on the phone. Ambience/Atmosphere: Dark and typical American-Chinese Crowd: I have never seen anyone else in the place… don’t know how they stay in business The food: Average Chinese take out/dine in. No frills. Go to Tung Lee or the take out place three stores down in the same the strip mall

Pretty standard Chinese food. Prices are great, portions are small. I did have the lunch Almond Chicken Combo, so that might have played a part. Combo consisted of a cup of soup, egg roll, two small breasts of almond chicken(I think it was one half breast, cut in half again), and chicken fried rice(small icecream scoop size), for $ 4.50. In all, it was not bad, Service was quick. In and out in 30 minutes.
