If I could give this place no stars, or zero stars for that fact, I would. I will NEVER go back again. I MEANNEVER! I have been going to Pearl Nails for about a year and was seeing a very nice woman named Jenny. Her work was pretty good, would last close to two weeks and she was extremely nice. The attention to detail that she had was unmatched. Unfortunately, she left and I started seeing a woman named Lee. During the first visit, it was nice enough, but nothing like my experience with Jenny. Her daughter was running around yelling and laughing the entire time I was there. While I love children, this is not the relaxing experience I was looking for. Also, I noticed that(or at least it was the perception) that the staff was talking about me(in another language). I of course can’t prove this, but why are you talking and looking at me and then when I give you a questioning look you just smile. Your body language told on you. Two weeks later I came back for a touch up. I was traveling and knew the polish that I had on wouldn’t last until I came back because it was already chipping. It took almost an hour to soak, file and chip off the color that was on previously. My nails were so tender and still had specs of the darker color on them. We moved on to the new application — I asked for a French manicure with a pale pink layer. After Lee applied the pink, she then applied the white tips. Since she was using acetone to shape the white tips and some of the pink polish was coming off(it was regular polish so OFCOURSE it’s going to come off when you rub acetone on it). When I asked her if she was going to reapply it, she immediately got defensive then yelled at me saying that it was still there(like I was blind) and that she did tons of French manicures. I responded saying that I was questioning the number of manicures she did but telling her what I saw. She yelled again telling me «well I just told you». So in addition to listening to your cell phone ring at the loudest volume possible, you’re now yelling at me? I was stunned that a professional would yell at a customer and unprovoked at that. I was silent most of the visit and left once she was finished. And here we are, a week later and my nails look like garbage. The base is peeling up and one has already started to peel from the top. Guess it doesn’t matter how many manicures you’ve done — your work and attitude are trash. No wonder it’s always empty in there. Stop talking about your customers, stop yelling at them and get some real training on how to do nails!

I have been coming here for over 15 years and while the place is discreet and humble in a busy shopping center, the service is always top notch. They are courteous, efficient and have the most reasonable prices. I moved to Arlington a year ago and still make the drive when I can to go to them. I use to get acrylic nails but now I get the gel manicures and regular pedicure. I love the wax parrafin which they use for both manicures and pedicures. Feels like a second home when I go back cause they know my mother too so we catch up and I come out knowing my nails will look great for two weeks. Ulke other places their manicures really last and I don’t have to worry about peeling or chipping.

The owener and the staff were super nice. I fell in love with them. Spwcially the owner.. However, the lady who did my acrylic nails, was a little rough. I ouched 3 times while she was filing thw surdace of my nails using the maching. It hurts and burns a lot in case you dont know. My nails are very short and after adding the tips and acrylic, i ensed up with short nails also. Although you expect to leave with longer nails when you ask for fake nails to be attached to your nails. She kept shortning them and there was absolutely no time to undo the whole thing and put new set of acrylic. My nails look like hell. I pretended to like them huat to gwt out of there. The pinky nail chipped and broke the very next day. I didnt even botber to go back to get it fix. Surface of nails is not leveled nor smooth. It really looks bad that my friends noticed it and thought that i got DIY kit and did my own nails by mayself at home. The clear coat of nail polish started peeling 2 days after getting my nails done. I have had acrylic nails aets put on my nails so many time. Not one time looked this horrible. I also alwasy ask for white tips and they always look amazing. Not this time. They look freaky. What a waste of $ 40. Pictures attached.

I have been going to Pearl Nails for about two years. I got Gel Nails $ 30 and pedicure $ 30. Lauren was the only option for Gel Nails, being average. You know how hard to find a good one. She was mostly OK but no-consistence. Specially lately my nails started chipping and breaking on the second day. In two years she never learned what I expect and how short I want my nails, even with a SUPER generous tip $ 20 for fill and pedi AND at the beginning she made me wait half hour with an appointment(until I told her that is NOT acceptable) Pedicures are OK, comes with parafine dip and depends who you get, however do not expect to get your heels to be soft afterwords. I don’t go there anymore because I told her my nails are chipping and breaking and gave her few chances to correct and she didn’t. Why I kept going there for two years? Until the breaking started it was acceptable and searching for a good nail job is a P.I.TA. I think two star is more than fair.

I admit I was a tad bit nervous because of the lack of Unilocal reviews on this place, but I decided to give this place a try and steal its Unilocal virginity. Now this place is your standard run of the mill nail salon run by Vietnamese but… the reason for the 3 star rating rather then 2 is because they include a paraffin wax dip with the standard pedicure which I always enjoy. They do a good job and if your in the area and need a mani or pedi its a good place to stop, but I wouldn’t say that I would go out of my way to come here.
