Hookah is overly packed making the head die quick, environment makes up for it i was dancing which is good they have a live Dj that 60% of the time is playing Arabic music which no one dances to, overall great location to take friends with and enjoy socially

Average place. Hookah quality is not that great. They run Unilocal deal but dont honor it as they said it was done by old management. Didnt try their food so cant comment. Mostly, wont be going back to this place.

Well the place is very good for entertainment but give three stars coz of the lightings which is so annoying and second the coals. They can use better coals. Coz when you smoke their hookah it taste like some plastic burning except the flavor. When I ever I smoke hookah here, my throat hurts in the morning. The rest is good.

Nice place! Very convenient that it’s open until 4 which makes it a great post-bar spot. Lots of hookah flavors to choose from… I believe we had a combination of Sex on the Beach and Blue Mist. The chai tea goes great with it and only costs $ 3. Keep in mind that this place dies NOT serve alcohol. We knew it ahead of time but that may be a turn off for some people. Happy smoking!

They don’t sell alcohol. And the music could’ve been better. Also the uy working there was trying to start the hookah for us and put his mouth on it. They failed to even give us mouth pieces to begin with.

All I can say is that this place has the best service around. Normally it takes forever for someone to greet me, take my order or even take out the hookah– not this place. Very friendly staff– the owner is also very nice. The hookah is average, but service and food is awesome. They’re even open super late so it’s convenient for me! :) Oh, but I went in to purchase Starbuzz shisha and it was $ 30. That’s way too much.

Don’t come here for the free drink check-in. They didn’t know what the hell I was talkin’ about

Has a nice environment, BUT the main guy who runs the place ALWAYS tries to steal you for your money. You could buy a drink for $ 5 and then your bill would come to $ 15. And when you do notice, he gives you an attitude and acts as if he «accidentally» made the mistake. This had happened to my friends and I numerous times, and I promise you, it is no mistake. Also, the place could be only about 30% full, and yet, they would still charge you $ 10 for just breathing their air, doesn’t matter if you did not smoke or buy anything, you still have to pay $ 10 regardless. I completely understand if they are packed, but there are almost ALWAYS available seating areas. So there is no explanation for them to charge you $ 10 for doing nothing. This as well has happened to me and others multiple times when we just come along for the company of friends.

The best place to chill and have fun. They have the best Nescafé and Turkish coffee. Great variations of hookah and great atmosphere. I tried the melon hookah flavor for the first time and I like it. They play such as variety of music such as Latin, hip hop, middle eastern… The only think I didn’t like is that they don’t have many servers…

The cool thing about this place is how late it stays open. It is open till usually 4 or 5 in the morning which is unheard of for an establishment in these parts. It makes it a great spot to hit after the bars or just if you have a late night itching to go out. They allow you to bring in food from other locations due to their virtually nonexistent kitchen and food menu. I think that this is a great policy since there are a few great ethnic spots to get food in the same strip. However, they do not allow outside drinks. I have found this to be a policy similar across the hookah bar spectrum in the area although I do not understand it. If you can bring in food from outside, then why not drinks. The drinks are all bottled and a complete rip-off price wise. They should learn that if their customers are well hydrated, then they will stay longer and order more hookah, especially casual smokers who might get a headache after a while. Also, the wifi is very finicky when it comes to apple computers. I have had several impromptu troubleshooting conversations with fellow customers who also were trying to connect with apple computers. I would recommend them to change their network settings so that all devices connect without a hitch. Again, perfectly working wifi encourages longer visit times, which means more hookah sales. I sound like a broken record haha. Finally, the hookah. The hookah is very hit or miss. Sometimes it tastes fantastic and hits with great clouds. Other times, I’m not even convinced that they packed the head with the hookah I ordered, if at all. Several times I have had hookah taste completely off from the flavor that I ordered. I brought this to the attention of the guy who was waiting on the group and he tasted it and said that it was exactly what I had ordered. I told him that I ordered this flavor a fair amount and this tastes nothing like the flavor. He kept repeating that it was right while staring at me blankly and then finally walked away. Other times the hookah has absolutely no flavor at all. I am not sure if this has to do with tobacco freshness, tobacco brand(knock offs), or preparation techniques, but there are times where flavor is nonexistent and I taste more of the disposable plastic tip on my hose rather than the shisha that I am smoking. Overall, the experience can be quite good here, although it’s a crap shoot whether it is going to be pleasant or aggravating. If you try it out, hopefully you get a great experience because they are definitely capable of providing one. The next step is for them to CONSISTENTLY provide a good experience.

First all when looking for this place, just know it’s toward the back of the plaza. Also, apparently you can bring your own food so go grab something to eat before you come. When we arrived it seemed the patrons were serving there self because there was no hostess or waiter in site. We stood at the door two minutes or so before someone came to greet us. We weren’t sure if the person walking toward us worked there because he looked like a customer(he had on plain clothes). Upon being seated, the 1 server for the 10 or so already seated parties went to grab us a menu. After noticing he was gone for a while I looked at the kitchen door and noticed he was on his phone. The atmosphere seemed like a chill place, everyone seemed to know everyone and it seemed like a «college campus hang out». When I clicked on the Unilocal coupon for a free drink –I assumed that there was alky service here – wrong! No alcohol is served here and the food is minimum to none. After we placed our hookah order. I could hear the server grinding the ingredients together for the hookah and I was not that close to the kitchen area… First time I ever heard this at a hookah place. There were a million things that went wrong here. The server touched my sister’s mouth piece while fixing our hookah. Never seen that done – waiters usually ask you to remove yourself. The server was paying attention to everyone else table but ours(was eating customers food – whatever that I didn’t mind). Our coal went out and we had 2 more that we asked him to come light we waited around for 25 mins or so and he never came back to light them. I was annoyed by this point. Our coal ran out very quickly. I tried to keep calm and ordered mozzarella sticks and they didn’t taste good. I should have known better because no one else was eating food from the establishment. I guess because I’m not a usual I didn’t receive the same service as everyone. the hookah was good and strong. But I’m not coming back. Our service was just horrible, the environment seemed cool but I couldn’t get with it.

Love the hookah and shisha here. However, I should say the service has gone down a lot. Brought a couple of friends for the first time. All of us had issues with the service. Had to walk to the server twice to request for help. They forgot to honor my Unilocal coupon as well. Moving my 5 starts to 3. Hopefully you guys do better next time.

The hookah is great. The food is great. And the service is fantastic! I had a layover at Dulles for a few hours and met some friends here on a whim. Our server Mousa was fantastic. It turns out, I left my wallet there and jumped on my flight to California. Mousa actually sent my wallet in the express mail with zero complaints. It’s symbolic of the hospitality you’ll experience at this café. I give it 5 stars and highly recommend it. It’s got TV’s, which are great for watching sports on weekends. Yet it’s traditional enough and very relaxing. It doesn’t try to be trendy. It’s comfy and I HIGHLYRECOMMEND it!

Like a previous user had said, the smoke gets so thick inside the restaurant that when you open the front door, you can see the smoke just flowing out. Makes it difficult to breathe/see sometimes. The music and bellydancer was good. I remember when Hookah bars would have belly dancers every Saturday night, and they stopped. So I love seeing them! Every Saturday night there’s a DJ and dancing. A good place to relax and dance, but not necessarily to talk and discuss. It can be difficult to hear over the loud music. Maybe it’s just me, but they should lower the volume of the music when the place is quite empty, and then when it gets fuller, they can make it louder. Most of the patrons that come in at 8 are not there to dance…(like our group). I will definitely be going back, maybe for a girls night out. I have not tried their hookah, I don’t smoke. The drinks were okay, but they confused me. I ordered a Strawberry/Banana smoothie, and it didn’t feel that cold when I was drinking it. The bottom of the drink was pink and the top was white… so I guessed the top would have banana flavor and the bottom have strawberry. But the white had no flavor at all. So rather than getting disgusted about the flavorless white goo, I decided to mix the two colors up and deal with it.

Solid place… The ventilation could be better as it can get pretty hazy/smoky in here when its decently busy. People are nice, and its a pretty simple hookah bar as far as their servings. However, I do feel like their hookah seems to get harsh quicker than most places. They do let you purchase food from the kabob place next door which has good reviews on Unilocal. Solid place with nothing special to stick out, but nothing really wrong either.

I have to say I enjoyed this place. They are open until 5AM I think. The staff was VERY nice and the hookah was clean and it didn’t hurt my throat. Reasonably priced, I think it was $ 11bucks. Only draw back I didn’t care for was the loud repetitive music. I understand the theme, but I was TOO much. I would definitely go back again.

Great place to enjoy some good Hookah/Shisha. Their desserts are very good as well. Looks slow when you walk in but they are still building a customer base. Unlike other hookah bars in the area, who blast music and are aimed towards the younger crowd, Pharaoh’s is a lot more laid back for an authentic Egyptian/North African atmosphere… Check out their Belly Dancer every Friday and Saturday! Ashraf was awesome my last time there!
