My daughter and I have had several bad experiences with ordering from this store. I ordered a glass pumpkin in the store and was told it would be delivered to the store in a week. After a week, I called and was told it was in, but they couldn’t find it in their storage room. After 3 more weeks and me calling several times, they finally found it. At this point is was the day after Halloween and they refused to give me any kind of discount for my trouble. Next, my daughter bought 2⁄3 of a dinner ware set and we ordered the other 1⁄3 in the store. After a month of waiting, my daughter stopped in and was told her order had been canceled with no explanation, or phone call to my daughter. How dare they not let her know and leave her with an incomplete set. Luckily, the store manager found some at a nearby store. Lastly, I ordered a pillow in the store last week and was told it would be mailed to me in a few days. I needed this pillow before a party and knew it would arrive in time. I got an e-mail a few days later that said my order was canceled. No explanation! When I called, I was told that the place they sent the order to was out, but that he would be happy to reorder it for me at another location. What? How does a big company like this not have a system in place that automatically does this? How can they just cancel my order and expect me to figure out the rest. At this point it was too late to reorder and receive it in time for my party. This is the worst customer service ever. I have never ordered from a company with this type of incompetence. I will never order from them again and would caution you to be careful as well.

I love Pier 1, but not this store! I called with an even swap of two damaged dining chairs for two new, they were the only store in the DMV area with two of this particular chair. I drove an hour to get there. I inspected the new chairs and indicated that I would take them. The associate told me to bring my chairs in, then I could take the new chairs out. When I asked for help she laughed, but offered no explanation or assistance. They had the chairs in the furthest corner from the door and made me carry them out, through their crowded store, one by one, not even offering to hold the door. Worst customer service ever! I will never shop here again.

I recently visited this location when I was looking for couple of things for our new house. It was loaded with tons of things and had I not had the kids I would have loved to stayed and looked longer. I found most of what I was looking for, but beware their website claimed they had one item I was looking for and they claimed it had not been in the store for months so if you are going to look for something you saw on the website and it says it is in the store you may want to call before hand to make sure.
