Worth the trip, best ice ice cream I’ve had in years. I tried the wild maine blueberry ice cream it was spot on, the little blue gems throughout the creamy cold goodness was exactly what I needed to satisfy my craving for a cold sweet treat.

There is no access to indoor bathrooms or even running water. The two«porta-toilets» were disgustingly filthy! One of them does not have a lock so you don’t know whether it’s vacant or occupied. This horrid condition took my appetite away so I can’t comment on the food or ice cream. Maybe the health department should intervene!

Brought the family here, heard alot of good things about their ice cream. My go to place is Kimball Farms, this place is very good too! Me, my son and wife split the banana split. It cost 7.45 but it was really good! Also, while you indulge in the ice cream, you can take in the scenery of the cows and goats which the kids love.

This place has amazing ice cream. We went again tonight to get some frozen deliciousness. I am stuck on the Mocha Chip. It is the best mocha ice cream I have ever had. This is problematic, because they have a huge selection, of which I have had none. My girlfriend had Coffee Oreo tonight. Pretty amazing as well. I only get kiddie sized, which is one scoop, because I couldn’t eat more than that. The location is fun, with all the cows and goats around. If you want a place just as good as Kimball’s without the ridiculous lines, I highly suggest Rota Spring.

The police need to get a detective under cover in this place because I swear they put crack in the ice cream. I find myself waking up in cold sweats itching and crawling up the walls needing a dose of cake batter ice cream.

Even if you don’t like ice cream, the drive to Rota Springs alone is worth the trip. Nestled away in a rural section of MA, the views are spectacular. The farm itself is gorgeous as well, with sprawling green hills filled with cows grazing and birds chirpin’! Off to the side there’s a little fenced in area with goats that you can pet through the fence and feed some hay — they’re all very sweet and don’t bite. Let me get down to the point, the ice cream! It’s delicious, what else can I say? With both soft and hard ice cream — everyone was happy! They even have sugar-free ice cream, my boyfriend’s mom doesn’t eat sugar and she said it was delicious(she was not convinced it was sugar free — cause it was too darn good!) Overall, not much you can say about ice cream. It’s delicious, creamy, and the best I’ve had. Also, the portions are HUGE! The kiddie is enough for an adult for sure. Rota Springs also has an adorable little farm store next to the ice cream window. They sell a bunch of knick-knacks, kitchen tools, t-shirts, and hats. Also, fresh meats, produce, pints of ice cream, and homemade goodies! My boyfriend’s sister got a vegetable quiche and they all gobbled it up that night and said it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back to Rota-Springs!

I’d like to give it one star so people won’t come and the secret will stay safe but that wouldn’t be fair. It is nothing short of the best ice cream you’ve ever had. Quality and good prices make this an outstanding ice cream experience.

I don’t understand the hype. No better or worse than other ice cream stand in the area. And they don’t offer any gluten-free flavors. They make 2 kinds of sherbert based drinks. Don’t order the one that uses milk, it was weird.

Came here just before Thanksgiving to do two things: 1) Eat ice cream. 2) See the goats in the back. Neither disappointed. I tried their pumpkin, Indian pudding, and blueberry ice creams. The blueberry was the best by far, super creamy and chock full of blueberry flavor. Very dense too. I loved it. Even the kiddie size is HUGE. I got a kiddie, ate half, and stuck the rest in my freezer for dessert the next day. And I am a ice cream fanatic. So keep that in mind for the size you order!

Visiting Heifer International Farm led us to Rota Spring. Make the drive. When all of a sudden you come upon this place on the side of the hill and a big smile appears on your face. You’ll love it here.

More cowbell please? There was definitely a cow making cow noises talking to his friend across the farm and it was awesome. My friend and I stumbled on this place while driving around Mass. We stopped for ice cream and it was very yummy. My friend had lavender and loved it, and I had wild Maine blueberry. It was delectable. Hopefully you find this wonderful little gem in your explorations of Mass.

Oh my flipping heaven!!! I’ve searched everywhere for lavender ice cream, and it’s their July special! But all their ice cream is awesome, made from the milk of cows onsite. Better than Kimballs! Goats for the kiddos to be entertained by too. Reasonable prices, and although the lines are long, they move fast. Great little store with meat and produce too.

Used to go here a lot when I lived in Boston. Yeah, Boston, a good 45 – 60 minute drive east of this place. And it was worth the drive every time … From chocolate peanut butter to chocolate peanut butter cookie dough to the rest of the amazing creations available at Rota Springs, I was always impressed. I brought friends who were visiting from the UK and they — to this day — maintain it was the best ice cream they’ve ever had. I tend to agree.

A great little farm for pumpkin picking and ice cream. I first stopped by Tougas on a mission to find a pumpkin to carve, but unfortunately they had a small, disappointing selection. So after a bit of googling and Unilocaling(thanks guys!), I found this farm! I went with a group of ~10ish. We arrived late and it was apparently past the last round of the day for pumpkin picking but the guy driving the truck was super nice and brought us anyway. We went on a little hay ride to the pumpkins and he waited for all of us to finish picking pumpkins and taking pictures(haha)(15 – 20 min). It was $ 2 per person for the hay ride and that $ 2 goes towards your pumpkin purchase. After you pick your pumpkin you bring it to the cashier where they weigh for the final price. I forget the price per pound of the pumpkins but I do remember the end product being expensive. Much more expensive than if you went to the local Wal-Mart or Trader Joes. Especially if your going to get a large pumpkin. But it’s not the pumpkin that matters, it’s the experience! nI’ve never picked pumpkins before so I thought it was tons of fun. There’s also an ice cream stand with about 1000 flavors of fresh ice cream. I tried the pumpkin spice and it was to die for! And the little farmers market was awesome as well. They had a small selection of produce, fresh cakes/breads, frozen pastas, and frozen ice cream cakes. I got the Oreo ice cream cake to bring home and it was a huge hit.

We have to hit Rota at least once a season. Tucked out in the country, it’s a beautiful place to sit outside, breathe fresh air & eat some ice cream! There are belted Galloway cows on the hillside, and goats behind the building that you can pet. Kids love that kind of stuff! The ice cream is good, a bit overpriced(we paid $ 12 for 3 small cups), but I’m okay with that. I’m willing to pay a bit more for the scenery! Things to note: 1) no restroom, enjoy the porta-potty; 2) put on your sunscreen, because the shaded tables are under a tent in the parking lot. Not the view I was talking about; 3) they don’t take credit cards. See you next season, Rota-Spring!
