The focus of this grocery store is on Indian and Pakistani goods, including both prepared foods and cooking ingredients. The store can’t really compete with the large ethnic supermarkets in the area on fresh produce, but I was impressed by freshness of the shelved and refrigerated merchandise. Prices seem very reasonable. In particular, the packaged dals and boxed masalas from India are an outstanding value compared to similar stores in the area. The store is clean, organized, and friendly. They do have a minimum charge for credit card, which seems to be a big deal for a lot of ethnic merchants. But the prices are all scanned and computerized, so there’s little risk of being overcharged. In fact, the price at the register is more likely to be even lower than what’s marked on the shelf. That’s the kind of surprise that customers just love.
