I‘ve been passing this place many times on the way to subway, and always hesitated to try it. So once I got very hungry and ordered it online. And OmG! The food was deliscious and not pricey. I ordered soem seafood mix I believe(with plenty of sea food), and my hubby had a meat, which he really enjoyed as well. Next time I will just go and grab it/YUM!

Delicious and affordable. My boyfriend and I weren’t sure what we were in the mood for, and stumbled on The Pollo Factory online. Delicious grilled Peruvian chicken, perfectly seasoned and juicy. Even the plantains(which I typically don’t like) were amazing! Sweet and delicious… not starchy. The yucca was not the best, that’s why only four stars, but overall, we look forward to going back! Great food, substantial portions, and very authentic!

Food is excellent! Every time! Service is quick – eat there a lot & always luv it! The chicken is moist and very tender. The sauce is perfect to dip the yucca. Never disappointed!

Pros: good food. Unlimited sauce when you dine in unlike other places. Cons: unpleasant service.

Maybe it is the time of day(around 2:00), but today’s chicken is super dry and lacking. The first 16th of an inch from the skin is practically inedible. The yellow sauce tastes like they began adding lemon to it, and the pupusa was from the freezer without a doubt. Plus, even with it being close to empty, service took quite a while. This used to be one of my favorite pollo places in the area. So sad. I might try one more time before the end of the summer to see if they can turn it around…

Is this Chinese or is this Peruvian food? I ordered the Lomo Saltado, and it tastes bland and a hint of teriyaki. The only reason I even went here was because Moe’s was super packed, and I didn’t want to get a burger. I have not tried their chicken, but if you’re looking for Lomo Saltado — King Pollo is the place to go its even cheaper than this place. Never going here again!

Friends and I had a taste for some pollo a la brasa, but we wanted to try someplace new. A quick Unilocal search and 20 minutes later, we left The Pollo Factory with one whole chicken, yuca, and plantains. The chicken was moist and the yuca was well prepared(initially) which is what lead to 3 stars as opposed to 2.5. El Pollo: generous portions, well cooked, and moist. The seasoning left something to be desired by 2⁄3 of our group. Generally, this can easily be fixed with some sauce, however… The Sauce: was disappointing. Both the green and the yellow sauce were entirely too watery. Under seasoning happens, but you can’t get the condiments wrong too! Yuca: always better fresh out of the fryer, regardless of where you go. We tried the yuca at the restaurant and thought it was superb. Of course, after steaming in the bag on the journey back, they became tough. No stars lost for this though, as its one of those things that just happens. Platanos: were terrible. They were obviously not ripe which means they weren’t sweet… at all… not even a little bit. Add to this they were overcooked and we were left with unsweetened plantain chips. I would return, primarily to use my $ 4.49 offer for a quarter chicken and 2 sides(which apparently they no longer accept), but overall this location was just OK.

This place is right down the firehouse from where I used to work and we’d stop here all the time when we had to grab a quick bite to eat in between calls. Standard rotisserie chicken. Wouldn’t put it ahead of chicken rico, which is the king of Peruvian chicken for me. I also love the yellow saffron sauce. Hope to try something else besides the half chicken next time I go(pollo saltado is always a good alternative).

Authentic, Fantastic, Delicious!!! Not only is the chicken moist and perfectly flavored, but everything from the traditional style soups to the desserts are out of this world. I’m a long time customer, and they are the only Peruvian chicken restaurant that I truly enjoy.

Great tasting food! I tried their full chicken with sides. We loved all the sides and the chicken had great taste with a subtle smoky flavor. It was similar to Big Mike’s BBQ(another favorite of mine) chicken but much better seasoned and hence better flavor.

I really like the Pollo Factory and have been coming here for awhile now, the food is always good and the prices are cheap, fresh chicken and nice sized side items, I myself have never had problems as some of the other reveiws state but they do need to work on their customer service skills a little bit All in all Im always satisfied when I get food from here

Don’t even try to use the special coupon for the quarter chicken. Lady at the register was so rude. I will give u it this time but if you come back we won’t let you use it. Well take the damn thing down. It’s not my fault you still have it on Unilocal.Tried to get yucca as a side. No it doesn’t come with yucca. Well what kind of special is this. Food is good. Service horrible — reason for rating.

I visited the Pollo Factory a while back when I worked in the area and I was pretty happy with it. It’s pretty standard peruvian chicken and sides. If you like chicken then check this place out. It’s not bad.

Good quality rotisserie chicken at a reasonable price. I always get the ¼ or ½ chicken meal with 2 sides. The chicken is superb and the sides can be hit or miss but quantity is always good and quality is always good but not always great. Getting 2 cups of each«yellow & green» side sauces is the perfect amount to pair with chicken and/or sides. Has become a lunch place staple out here in chain restaurant mecca of Ashburn — although this is a regional/local chain. The consistency of a good meal is hard to beat.

Very authentic and good. Their 80 year old grandma was in the kitchen cooking the food.

The chicken is moist and pretty good. The fried yuca was mostly good, though a few pieces were overly crispy, perhaps sitting too long. The food came out pretty quick and I washed it down with an Inca Kola, because why not? Prices were cheap, especially with a Unilocal check-in special. I’ll try some other menu items next time, but the pollo will still be the focus. The dining area is as basic as it gets, but it was clean despite the number of families with kids dining here just before closing time.

Very moist chicken. Flavor is pretty good. I like how everything taste like what they should be(I hate those re-engineered yuca hash brown ball that some other places have). Plantain was pretty good too. Don’t get ¼, get the ½; much better deal

They had a deal on Unilocal where if you check in, you can get ¼ a chicken with 2 sides for $ 4.49 Decided I had nothing to lose for a meal under $ 5. Ordered the chicken with rice and a french fries. The chicken was nice and moist. Very flavorful and plain delicious! Highly recommend this place if you’re desiring Peruvian food!

My friend and I were REALLY craving pollo, so we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the quarter chicken with fries and yuca. I liked the crispy outer layer of the chicken, the fries were fries, and the yuca was nice and crispy(i always fear really stale-tasting yuca haha). It was a satisfying meal, but I wish i ordered the half chicken/it were a bit cheaper. They gave me a lot more sides than chicken. But the man working at the front was very nice. Good customer service from what i see.

I wanted to buy a rotisserie chicken for tonight’s dinner. A simple task, you say. Yes, it should be simple but… First stop was Bloom since we think that they have some of the best supermarket rotisserie chicken around. Plus since the nearest Bloom is going to close and not even become a Food Lion again, why not get a chicken while we could. I got to Bloom — no chickens. The two women at the deli told me it was a half hour wait. I had other errands to do so, no dice. I suppose I can understand it from the employee’s point of view — they’re soon to be out of work and now don’t give a dang anymore. So…since I had to go to Safeway anyway, might as well get one of theirs. Safeway now only sells rotisserie chickens between 4 p. m and 7 p.m. At 4 p.m., there were no chickens out for sale. I asked at the deli — 17 more minutes, they said. Not acceptable, I said. Next stop, tell the manager. Sorry, he shrugged. Again, not acceptable. The corporate office got an email about this. Where to get a chicken? Hmmm… Then«aha!» It’s time to finally try the Pollo Factory! Shortly after 4 p.m., I went and there were people waiting for their orders. I ordered a whole chicken, then was told to pick out 2 sides. I chose platanos fritos and rice. There was a bit of a wait due to the customers ahead of me plus the platanos had to be prepared fresh. When I got the bag with all the food, it smelled sooo good! I told the friendly man behind the counter that it all smelled wonderful, who then opened the platano container to show me and let me smell the goodness. We generally eat a later dinner but when I brought the stuff home, I told my husband that it smells so good that I was going to eat now. When he got a whiff, he agreed. It was all so tasty. The chicken had a smoky, salty flavor. One drawback — parts of it were juicy and parts were on the dry side. Yet the drawback was easy to overlook due to the rest of the flavorings. The platanos were superb. My husband isn’t a huge fan of platanos but even he just about inhaled his. They were cooked just right, soft but not mushy and just sweet enough. The rice was basically white rice with a few vegetables in it(corn, peas and carrots). It was bland — nothing to write home about. However, we really weren’t expecting anything more. As for the upshot, we’re now asking ourselves what took us so long to try The Pollo Factory LOL! Plus, we both agree — we’ll be back! The Pollo Factory’s gain was Bloom and Safeway’s loss!
