Hands down the best sushi spot in Santa Clarita! Delicious– everything. Have to try the 3 amigo hand roll, the sister roll and lady in red.

First off let me ask you, reader, what are you doing with your life right now? Contemplating whether to spend your hard earned dollars on this establishment? Well you’re in luck because I’ve travelled far and wide in my search for sushi, and Kinza is by far my favorite. Skip the long list of crazy rolls that they have and go straight for the nigiri as their fish is consistently the best tasting and has the most wonderful texture. My favorites(and usually only thing I get now) are the yellowtail and albacore nigiri. My girlfriend also loves the banana tempura and gyoza. I do agree with the other reviews on here that their waiter and waitresses aren’t always on the ball and it’s sometimes confusing as you’ll get seated by one person, someone else will bring you drinks, another will bring you menus, and you’re sometimes required to flag down someone to get your order in.

I was very disappointed to have arrived to the location at 9pm for dinner and being told by a worker at the front that they were closing! Ummmm, I was coming here based on other Unilocal reviews & looking At the business hour. Supposedly they close at 10:00 pm based on Unilocal along with the sign at the business entrance, I guess that just changes when they want. Never again will I stop by this place again.

The sushi was delicious,(BIG menu to choose from) the service was good, but sitting at a small table by the jam packed door was not so good. We went on a Thursday, I can only imagine what weekends would be like!

I honestly don’t get all of the great reviews on here. My husband and I went here for lunch one day, mid-week, because of the reviews. First of all, the place is tiny(I guess there’s an upstairs area, but it was closed) and very noisy. I should have known to not go there after calling to see if they were still open for lunch and I could barely hear what the hostess was saying with all of the noise in the background. After arriving, we were waiting to be seated, and a man by himself came in after us, and the hostess proceeding to seat him at a table first. Okay… no big deal, but it was odd. Then she seats us with no menus, and we sat for almost 10 minutes before she came back over with water for us(still no menus – we had to ask for them). Their prices are very high – their«lunch specials» were no deal whatsoever. Add the very loud party of 4 next to us, with a baby who was constantly slamming his hands down on the table loudly(probably out of boredom) and the parents completely ignoring him. While most sushi restaurants offer great lunch deals – and these guys don’t, that’s not even the issue. If I’m going to pay higher prices for sushi, it needs to be in a relaxing restaurant with some nice ambiance. We got up and left as we could barely hear each other across our tiny table. No thanks.

Kinza Sushi is hands down the best sushi place in the SCV. My husband and I live around the corner and like to get to Kinza at least once a month if not more often. The food is phenomenal– fresh fish that the owner Alex sources every morning. He is absolutely incredible– always remembers your name and story and is genuinely happy to see you every time you come around. Sit with Shai — he is a great sushi chef who can make you anything you like and isn’t limited by the(substantial!) Kinza standard menu. He also has personality to spare. Victor is a verrry close second. Equally good food but just a little quieter. I have tried probably 7 – 8 other sushi places in the valley and haven’t been anywhere else since I found Kinza. An easy 5 stars.

This is easily my favorite sushi spot in the area. The fish is always fresh. The service is always friendly and fast. The amount of options can be very overwhelming but they won’t rush you so don’t worry! You can find options on the menu AND the walls so come hungry. If you’re drinking, buy the guys behind the bar some shots too! They are fantastic.

Meh… Quality of sushi/sashimi was good but not spectacular… The menu has way too many options and no pictures so it was hard to decide; there is another menu handwritten on boards up on the wall which only added to the confusion.

I LOVE their sushi. Didn’t think I would find anything good in SCV, but they are fanastic. THeir sexy lady roll is great. Me and my wife have made this our go to SUshi place. I wish they had longer hours. We went twice and they were closed.

Too good not to comment. Really good sushi and I usually don’t like ‘sue-chee’. Salmon teriyaki combo dinner was fantastic! Grill marks were a little heavy handed but they were pretty busy. Teriyaki sauce was great. Sticky rice was what you’d expect. Salad and dressing were really, really good. Neat little cucumber salad was great. Egg roll was good. Sweet n spicy dipping sauce was outstanding! Great meal. Edit: forgot to add they even had Korean soju on the drink menu. Thanks Unilocalers…

Best sushi in Santa Clarita. We’ve been to just about every sushi restaurant/bar in the SCV and this is by far the best. No ALYCE here and it’s not cheap, but the quality is top notch and fresh. The sushi chefs and wait staff are always top notch. If you don’t mind paying a little more for better quality sushi, you should give this place a shot. Wish they would get fresh sea urchin! Like most places, except for really high end restaurants, they serve the Uni out of the box, not fresh out of the shell.

Everything had an after taste and couple of times the waitress messed up or order and had to redo. Really not paying attention to the order. Wasn’t tasteful to me or our group at at. Crispy rice tuna was served cute but with eel sauce, I guess 1st time for everything which didn’t taste that bad. Definitely won’t come back for the sushi which is not a great quality.

My husband and I loved this place. Our first time here and for this place to be so far from the beach they have nothing but good quality and fresh fish. The atmosphere here is nice and the sushi chefs understand you lol. FYI.if you go on the weekend and is only the two of you ask for the bar, you’ll be seated quicker. Unless you’re a big party, you’ll have to wait not for long thou. Their menus could be overwhelming but other than that is okay if you know your sushi. Ask for Victor, he’s one of the chefs there and he’s very talented and quick too. Their Yellow tail with Jalapenos and Ponzu sauce sashimi is my fav. Yummy. We’re definitely coming back. :)

Stopped here by chance on the back up to NorCal from the LA. I was done with fast foods and refused to eat something fried in oil again. Going over their sushi menu, it was too«fancied up» with lots of sauces, spicy this, fried that blah blah blah. SO I went for the Chirashi bowl. I was surprised on the quality of the fish. It was pretty good! I enjoyed the sashimi mix I received but was bummed, $ 18 for 6pcs! That was NOT worth it at all. The sushi rice had the nice vinegar flavor, but it was slightly hard. Was not cooked to sushi rice quality. My husband ordered the nigiri mix, and thought it was pretty tasty. Since we just came from a Disneyland trip, the taste of freshness made us really enjoy this place, but for overall quality & pricing, it was okay. I think this place is a bit over priced but ehhh, coming from Disneyland I guess I could say it was affordable lol

On the way driving up north there isn’t much variety in terms of restaurants aside from fast food. Kinza Sushi is a nice change of pace located in Stevenson Ranch. PROS: — Fish is cut properly and fresher than you would expect — Seemingly never-ending menu with various creative sushi rolls with even crazier names — Great place to watch sports. Two floors, at least three TVs for sports CONS: — Chirashi bowl was a bit of a rip off at near $ 18 for basically like 6 pieces of fish. The rest was rice and cheap veggies. Would not get this again — Prices are slightly higher than average about $ 12 per roll and the servings could be bigger Bottom line is Kinza caters to everyone which means their sushi and their sushi rolls need to have the zany sauced-up flavors for those less adventurous sushi eaters while also keeping the traditional Japanese dishes to keep sushi purists happy. The result is that they do many of the wacky sushi rolls well but struggle with the plain classics like Chirashi. I would come back if I was craving sushi on the way up north but I would just stick with their various roll creations.

I was so amazed by the blackboard menus and the regular menus I could not see straight and I was paralyzed with too many choices!!! Waaaaaaaaa… I just about closed my eyes and pointed to what I wanted. Just so many wonderful rolls to indulge in. And yes, of course they did not let me down. I bit down into those luxurious, flavorful and fresh sushi rolls and again closed my eyes in delight and awe. Finally the check came and I closed my eyes in horror as I could not bear to look at what it will cost me. However, when I read the bill it was like a cherry on a sundae and very, very reasonable for all we received. We only had 4 days in this town and 2 of them were spent inside this restaurant. Why go anywhere else when you have perfection right here?
