The food is amazing, but their service is awful. If you eat there, it’s best to order for take-out. Otherwise, expect to waste a lot of time waiting to be seated and waiting for service after you are seated.

David and I stopped in one evening on our trip to Northern Ca. We stayed at a hotel for the evening down the road and decided we would eat at the Outback we noticed on the way in. Once we spotted Maru, we changed our minds. Great little place, small, quaint, friendly people. David insisted we have saki(as always.) Not a big fan but this saki was great. I do not know too much about saki but for me– best I’ve had! The appetizer, ‘Yummy Crunch’ was yummy :) Dynomite roll and the eel, very good place. Our little Graysen enjoyed himself as well. Planning on taking our teenagers the next time we pass thru.

Family run operation. The food was decent and the service was good. Plus the price was just right. Thusday night is $ 1 sushi night. There are an assorted of gingo sake ans Sapporo beer. The reciept is awesome. It shows as item 1, item 2, etc. No matter what you order to include booze. Good for submitting expense reports without being question about the alcohol. There is also an upstairs if it gets crowded.

My hot tea came in the form of a tea bag. And refills? Just hot water. I’m spoiled with good sushi in West LA, so this place definitely did not tickle my taste buds. I got the spider roll and nanaki special(house special roll). Spider roll — very small crab, the batter was extremely oily and heavy. The roll came out cold(usually if it is fried fresh and rolled, the crab comes out warm). The roll tasted like old oil. Nanaki special roll — crab on the inside, eel on top. I’ve never seen a sushi place be so cheap w/the avocado. They only put in enough for you to see a hint of yellow/green. You can’t even taste it. Both rolls were about $ 10 each. Looks like Ruby S. with one review has a vested interest in seeing Muri/Nanaki do well…

I had just had a stressful day at work, and so my boyfriend wanted to take me out for a nice sushi dinner. mmm. my fave. :) So we find this place and it looks really nice, so we walk in and the lady seats us and tells us they are about to close so we better eat fast. Then she preceeds to tell the chef that we are«huge fans of crunch» which we were alright with, we thought it was kindof funny since we didnt say anything about crunch at all. All until we get our rolls and theyre about 4 – 6 super tiny(and super expensive) rolls, with TONS of crunch on it. Wheres the sushi?! I definitely couldve gone to Love Sushi right by my house for alot of super delicous non-expensive plate fulls of rolls. They did offer live shrimp though. Which was kinda weird but kinda cool.

Errrrr… Ronzaki McSushi does it once again. Flippant names, expensive prices, low grade fish, mediocre service, riceful entrees… the list goes on and on… much like all assembly line sushi factories here. Once again we’re a victim of the inedible, intolerable, insufficient crime that is, sushi in Santa Clarita. Home of the Korean McSushi in every plaza in every block in every corner.
