My crunchy scallop roll was disgusting and inedible! Way, way, way too much rice and wet, roll just fell apart, so gross. Pricey as well! This is the third time ordering sushi from here and won’t be back as it’s consistently bad. The customer service sucks as well.

I love that it has the same original Cocoro menu. the convenience is awesome. I call it in and pick it up or come in to eat with minimal busyness that the one on the Mile has.

Love love love this place! So close to home and it’s really just a take out place though you could definitely sit in here. They have 4 – 5 tables. Food is great if not better than the restaurant in my opinion.

Horrible customer service. I was in the mood for sushi and cocoro to go was nearby, so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in and was not greeted, I said hello to the woman at the register. She completely ignored me and then said hello to the two men who walked in after me. Even after she helped them with their order, she continued to ignore me as I was standing there looking at the menu. She was very rude and I will most likely not return to this location.

Coco yum. Been to here a few times while in town. Very good. Fresh, i am impressed for stockton. Cheap rolls, don’t go for any $ 24 ones… Crunchy rainbow roll and golden prawn were really good.

Do not come here unless you have a lot of time to spare. Just ordered two sushi rolls to-go and took over 30 min. Won’t come here again. If you do choose to go here, I highly suggest you just call ahead.

It’s been too long since my last review. Cocoro has def. improved since my last review, pretty damn good sushi and I think its worth visiting. Keep up the great work guys! thanks, JJ

A great place if you’re craving sushi, but are on the go. I’ve had their regular rolls and their teriyaki and Korean bbq lunches– all of which are fresh and surprisingly cheap. Their miso soup is bit too salty for my liking, but that’s the only thing I’ve tried that I wouldn’t get again.

This place is fantastic. The rainbow roll — delicious. The freshest sashimi salad ever. Each dish is presented beautifully. Some sushi rolls are a little spicy — just the way I like it. Friendly service each time I have been there.

Updating my review here. I’ve eaten here twice within the past month(since writing this review). The food has tasted great and they have the consistency down. Food comes out steaming hot to the point where the wait teases me. Very pleased!

This is a good take out spot but we wanted a quick bite before heading to church so we were happy we could sit and eat here. I liked the rolls. The Nova Scotia roll is my husband and my favorite. How can you go wrong with warm cream cheese and smoked salmon? We were pleased. The golden prawn roll had pieces of panko-crusted prawns with a spicy sauce on top. The sauce had a kick but not too spicy. The spicy salmon roll had melt in your mouth raw salmon on top(my favorite) but was not spicy at all. I wish it had a spicy taste to it. The other complaint I had was that the rolls were wrapped tightly enough so a few pieces fell apart in our chopsticks. I would come back again if in the mood for a quick bite or sushi to go.

BLEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It’s in walking distance to work but I won’t be back. I heard their main restaurant is better but their«to — go» joint was nothing to write home about. You can eat here(there are 4 – 5 tables) but the service sucks! They take your order at the counter and then yell at you to come get your food back at the counter if you eat inside like I did. Was very weird. I ordered two rolls(spider and California) and I have had a million times better. In fact I couldn’t even finish because it was so sucky. Rolls were loaded with way way way too much rice and hardly any filling. It was like eating a bowl of rice with a few toppings. Won’t be back.

Very disappointed with the service. Some rolls are pretty good like the coco roll. But the service could improve. Prices are the same as other sushi places… Some things are too expensive. I’m not sure if I’ll return.

We tried this out cause they don’t close between lunch and dinner. Not bad … Food was actually very good … There is a few problems with dinning in … Plastic cutlery and caned soda … But I do think this restaurant caters to the upper end clientele in the brookside area for their take out sushi and really was never intended to be a dine in restaurant… That being said we do prefer the location on miracle mile … Although they have had quality issues recently … It’s still very strong and ambience is better …

Great little spot very fast service. The rolls have a lot of meat with little rice. I will be back.

Probably never coming to this place again . Service was horrible. We came to try the sushi burritos and they aren’t even on the menu, just names of the burritos written on a chalk board; doesn’t even tell us what’s in the roll. We ordered and had to wait about 45 minutes on our order. We were leaving and luckily we checked our order because they got it wrong ! We had to wait another 20 minutes for them to fix our order . The food? It was just ok. $ 6.50 for a sushi burrito that was smaller than normal . Definitely was not worth my money or time. I’m better off driving to wrap and roll in Elk Grove.

I feel I need to revise my review based on my experience tonight. I did a phone in take-out order. I was told the order would take about 25 minutes. I got into the place about 18 minutes after I hung up. 30 minutes later, I walked out with my order. I’ll give it a go one more time to see if it was just a bad night. Otherwise I’ll just order my take-out from the normal restaurant. To make things worse, the food did not seem well made or fresh tonight. My Lox roll fell apart and the Tuna Steak Roll looked as if it had been sitting for quite some time. It’s sad as this was my favorite place for take-out sushi. However, my experience tonight reminds me that there are plenty of other places with quality sushi, such as, Domo, RAW, etc. I’ve had more complex orders at the restaurant that were served in less than 50 minutes. I hope this was just a fluke.

I’ve eaten here twice, both times disappointed. Each time I got at least one roll, and each time they were DROWNING in sauce. I had to scrape it off. Ew. The first time, I also got an order of calamari — a completely burnt tiny serving of stringy squid. Ew. The second time, I ordered a roll to pick up, arrived on time, opened it to eat in my car, and it was WARM. Like they made the roll and left it on the counter to let it get to room temperature. So, warm sushi slathered in sauce with a tiny serving of burnt calamari on the side. Just go to the normal restaurant, this place is awful.

So I’ve been hearing from my sister that this is my brother’s favorite place in Stockton for Sushi. At first, we didn’t realize this was a to-go place. The prices were pretty expensive for a to-go place. I wondered if they charge a premium, since they wouldn’t get tips? I mean if you look at the menu, Nigiri pieces are a bit higher for their worth, plus they don’t offer the real good stuff like Ikura(Salmon Eggs) or Uni(Sea Urchin). The restaurant is set-up like a café style — a few tables and chairs and Japanese snacks you can buy at the counter. We were here to just order and pick up some rolls to go for lunch. We tried the Nova Scotia Roll, Rainbow Roll, and the Spicy Salmon Roll. When we took it home, the Nova Scotia Roll was almost a joke. It was the smallest roll I’ve seen with no salmon in it! Not worth $ 7. The other rolls were fine and had decent portions of fish on them. I am not sure this to-go place is for me. I mean if I’m going to get charged a premium, I want to be able to sit down at a sushi bar and enjoy getting served.

Though I understand the prices are high I think that the quality of the sushi is the best in town. It is essentially Cocoro-quality rolls but at a To-go place so I wouldn’t expect the prices to be that much lower than the Bistro. Honestly when I’m craving GOOD quality sushi in stockton, this is the place to go. The donburi from here(or from Cocoro bistro for that matter) is not my favorite because it can tend to be salty with too much sauce. The lunch specials too thought priced better are pretty small in size. I think my suggestion would be to stick to the rolls because I do find them quite filling. The rolls though are YUMMY! I find that the rolls are a lot bigger in size than a lot of places that I have been to. My favorite is the Tataki Roll — which is a combination of salmon and tuna rolls topped with a yummy sauce and a lot of fresh greens(it’s like sushi + salad)! Their California Roll is really big and a filling 4 dollar roll you can have on the side. This is not your typical batched up California roll — it is a crab salad sort of mix with avocado and cucumber — truly yummy!
