PLEASECLEANUPTHISDELI, Dave! It is in MAJOR need to be remodeled. This is just embarrassing. All you have to do is walk in the door and look up. Look down. Look all around. In major need of repair. I like the food.

I have a real issue with spending $ 36.00 on greasy food and being talked to EXTREMELY rudely and treated like crap. No smiles or a hello when you walk in the door, just a, «What you order?» I got home with the two 3 item combo dinners, one was almost completely rice and VERYLITTLE sweet & sour pork, the other was almost completely chow mien and VERYLITTLE cashew chicken, the garlic chicken in both orders was so greasy, one piece saturated a paper towel. I don’t now about any of you other Stocktonites, I work too hard for my money to pay for rude treatment or crappy behavior.

Deeeliciousness! We ordered combo #4 + brocolli&beef…The pork chow mein flavorful and clean(No MSG). Fried shrimp tasty, but too much greasy batter. Foiled wrapped chicken, on point! The veggies and beef, good! We will be back, as this was our first time! Heads up, call and order ahead, I waited about 10+mins.

I don’t come here for the service, I come for the delicious Chinese takeout. Every time I come, they’ve got me served & paid within 5 minutes. Sure, they get busy at this location — that’s all they do here, hence the name ‘takeout.’ Call ahead if that’s a concern for you, especially if you’re trying to feed a whole family. Otherwise, for just 1 or 2, I love coming here for one of their dinner combos. Never sets me back more than $ 6 or $ 7. Great for dinner & a movie nights at home. Garlic chicken & chow mein are my favorites. Sure, it’s greasy, but for the price it fits perfectly & will satisfy your craving. I’d rather support a local business than something like Panda any day.

I decided to go for sizzling rice soup. This place is only for takeout. It’s good but a bit uninspiring. Only had canned mushrooms, peas and chicken in it. I will try some other dishes next time and see if anything hits. It was fast. I got there right before they closed so maybe that had something to do with it.

the chow mein is soggy, fried rice isn’t good. Garlic fried chicken? Wish I had known,… definitely not an Asian concept

Usually this would get five stars, but they did me dirty at my last visit. FYI they are put to go dishes in shitty recycled plastic boxes that melt apart BEFORE U GETHOME!!! I love this place but if they are going from metal trays to this, then get ready to close ur doors no one is cool w this!!! My food literally dumped out when I got home, we were pissed. The food is too hot to put in there containers. OK I’m done the food is awesome, if u want a good deal get there combo meals, but if u special order know it is their best u can’t go wrong. This place is quality Chinese that I know u can’t get anywhere else, also fresh no msg, very clean food for Chinese.

Portions are large, food is very good, prices are low, people are friendly. What more can I say? Love the MooGooGuy(chicken, mushrooms, brown gravy over rice)…I think it’s like $ 7.

Its been ages since I’ve tried their food so we got some take out today. I like that they offer individual combinations. I had pork chow mein, sweet and sour pork and garlic chicken. I also got an order of potstickers. The food was very tasty… although a little greasy. My favorite was the potstickers. They were light browned and the filling was hot and savory. The portion is more than generous with plenty left over. The Chow main is just very average and the sweet and sour was very good. with bits of pineapple. The garlic chicken was a bit greasy but had full flavor. The price was very reasonable. it was 5.85 for the combination dinner and the potstickers were 5.55. The service was just fine and the wait time short. I would recommend Dave Wong’s for fast takeout that is reasonably good.

So many people love Dave Wongs, personally I don’t get it, the food is just ok… way overrated! …and the customer service at the deli leaves a lot to be desired.

I was jonesin for some Chinese takeout and remembered it had been awhile since I had been here. This may sound silly but the chow mien is what had brought me back for decades. Kept it simple chicken chow mien, pork fried rice, garlic fried chicken wings and egg rolls hot fresh and ready as usual. It’s nice to come back over the years and to find the consistency and quality that I remember. For that I give them four stars there’s something to be said for those qualities in a restaurant.

4÷27÷15 — I had been craving asparagus beef for a couple of days. So, I stopped to get it and was surprised to find out that they will no longer have it. I asked why and the lady first said«Oh, no more», then said«No more this year». So I am thinking which one is it. My next question was«why did you run out?» she says«yes». Now, I am wondering what’s going on since it is the beginning of the asparagus season; in fact, Stockton just had their annual festival. Well, I have a bad headache and refuse to cook, so I order Mongolian beef, Egg Fu Young and crab ragoons. All of a sudden when I arrived home I lost my appetite because the food I ordered is not what I want. But, due to a headache I eat a little anyway. The beef is too salty but everything else is okay. I just don’t understand that whole asparagus thing. If I had been feeling well I would have stopped at the store and bought my own. But now since my brain is on a roll now, maybe it’s because they didn’t sell it like they thought. They were charging $ 6.55 just for the asparagus beef. If you wanted rice it was another fee. So you ended up spending $ 12.00 on one dish, and no body’s craving is that serious unless you are pregnant. To me dishes like Mongolian beef, asparagus beef, etc., should come with steamed rice. Now if you want to pay for fried rice that up to the individual. In Vallejo there is a Chinese restaurant that sells their Mongolian beef with rice for $ 14.00 but that’s considered okay because they know they can get it. Plus, that is considered part of the«North Bay». I have to say it is delicious and hot and spicy. They even have the red peppers in it. It’s good but the price is ridiculous and I am from San Francisco. Without rice it’s $ 11.00.

Only Chinese restaurant that I know of that does not provide sauce with deep fried asparagus and then wants to charge you for the sauce. Ridiculous! Asparagus was pathetic looking. Dried up bits and pieces with no flavor. Chow to Go on hammer lane best spot in town for Chinese food. Huge portions reasonably priced and great service.

This is the best Chinese food around the garlic chicken is to die for. Foil chicken and crab ragoons are awesome. We travel from Fairfield to Stockton just for their food. We will always come back.

They are alright. Thing is, they are convenient. It is easy to have a deli close and open to just walk in and grab something. There is def better chinese food around though. The chow mien really lacks flavor! It needs… something. The options are kind of boring. They are also out of a lot of things every time I go. So I end up getting something that I didn’t even come there for and end up disappointed. I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. Cheap tho.

Food was absolutely delicious and I was EXTREMELY impressed with the prices, cheaper than most and better quality than all, Dave Wong’s Deli has always been my favorite Chinese take-out joint. And the fact that it’s a take out joint makes me feel like I’m truly getting a to-go experience and not just sitting down waiting for my food while others are seated, eating and staring lol. Five out of five stars and definitely recommended for all fans of Chinese food who need to get it on the run. The combination’s are the way to go here…

I dont understand what all the hype is about. I ordered a number 2. The chicken was very fatty. The rice was dry and bland. The sweet and sour chicken wasnt red, and the chicken was soggy. To top it off, the staff wasnt particularly friendly. If you like truck stop food, come here.

I will never go to this location again. My boyfriend and I popped in one night around 6:45PM on a weekday. There were two other people inside ahead of us, but they had already ordered their food. I ordered a combination plate with foiled chicken and prawns, my boyfriend ordered Sizzling Rice Soup and a garlic chicken combo. As soon my boyfriend ordered the soup and the woman at the register yelled back at the cook to make it the cook looked up toward the front disgusted and angry. He said something back to the woman, but I could not understand the language he was using. The door to the back kitchen area was open so I could see him and the rest of the back area. At the time he was holding a big wet bowl. He did not wash his hands before preparing the chicken for the soup, and when we got home and opened the soup there was only one tiny piece of chicken inside. Not one breast of chicken, but a tiny piece of a chicken breast. That was it. What really bothered me the most though was the woman who was took our order at the register sat right down there in front of it after she was done tendering us and started slurping on some type of soup while talking to the other girls up front with her making our combos. It just turned me off so badly. It was really unprofessional in my opinion. My combo plate was okay, though they only gave me one piece of foiled chicken(usually there are 2?) and my boyfriend’s combo was okay I guess. He wasn’t much a fan of the garlic chicken, he said it tasted a little off. In my opinion, for the price you pay, you don’t really get a great amount of food, but it’s good for a spur of the moment, don’t know what else to have for dinner type of thing. That being said, if I ever am in the mood for Dave Wong’s take out again I’ll be visiting the deli on March Lane.
