Dickey Barbecue Stockton is the Worst BBQ I’ve ever had! The Brisquet, chicken and sausages was dried out over cooked tasted like I was eating 3 day leftovers I didn’t even eat it, too nasty. Mac and cheese and potato salad was awful nothing about this visit was good OMG even the service wasn’t friendly smh if there was a 0 star that’s why they would have gotten.

Decent food, but overpriced. The BBQ sauces are okay but they taste all similar to each other. Drinks are $ 2.25 for small(seriously?). Good side is free soft serve. I won’t be coming back unless they lower their prices. I’ve had way better tasting BBQ and paid much less somewhere else. Not a fan. — — — — Dickey’s, in response to your reply, Unilocal does not have the capability for me to message you privately. They deserve ZERO stars!!! Absolutely horrible service and very unsanitary! I hope corporate sees this review. I came in earlier and was helped by a short male employee.(Mid 30’s, about 5’5″, Caucasian). He was the shortest guy working in the shift. Anyway, he was extremely rude and disrespectful towards customers, especially the African American couple before me. He was racist and vulgar throughout the entire time helping the couple and myself. I say that they are unsanitary because the Cashier Lady went back and forth from ringing up customers /handling money, AND Preparing Food WITHOUT putting on gloves OR washing her hands. She rang up the couple before me then proceeded to prepare my ‘Baked Potato Casserole’! With her dirty, unwashed hands, she put cheese on my potatoes! I immediately told her that I didn’t want it anymore. She did the same thing to the couple in front of me but they didn’t say anything. I guess this company is lacking in Sanitation Rules because the Cashier prepared food with her Dirty /Unwashed hands like there was nothing wrong with doing so. In conclusion, from the moment I stepped inside their doors to the time I left, I was extremely disappointed and felt very uncomfortable. I will never come back and make sure to tell everyone about my experience.

They have the best BBQ in town. The rib plate is so filling. I love the people so friendly. And free ice cream with every meal. I also love their bakers they are huge.

We all know Dickey’s has the best food, however this location offers the best staff as well. Ultra friendly and kind as they come. They work well together too and are as quick as I’ve seen with preparing the food for a Dickey’s location. 5 stars all the way, fan for life…

Great friendly service! True Texas flavor. They proactively offered to keep out to-go food in the warmer. I loved the smoked turkey, so moist a full of flavor. We ordered for dine in and a to-go. My sis liked the ribs and did a search for a Florida location so she can get some when she returns home.

How this place is a chain continues to confuse me. Their BBQ quality is compable to McDonalds for hamburgers. However, their food temps are terrible and prices are way over priced and the ribs I got seemed re-heated from the day before.

This is REALLY bad barbecue. To clarify, I have been to a Dickey’s in Southern California, and it was pretty good for fast food barbecue. Therefore, I know that the problem is not Dickey’s, but rather this specific location. I ordered a two meat meal. The portions were embarrassingly small. The woman ringing up my meal had to reapeat the total because I froze in disbelief when I saw the sad, gray pile of meat she had places on the tray. The brisket had a few pieces of visible meat surrounding a large clump of fat which seemed to be falsely expanding this already dismal amount of barbecue. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect Lucielle’s sized monster portions. But this was just sad. I also ordered the pulled pork which didnt have a hint of smoke flavor and was way too mushy. I honestly don’t know how you can have a giant fancy smoker and produce such lackluster bbq. The sides were super bland. Think KFC quality. This was not a good experience for a guy who was really craving some quick barbecue.

I really hate writing negative reviews HOWEVER THISPLACEWASCRAZYBAD i got a two meat plate my mom got a 3 meat plate so that her and my Dad could share… what ended up happening is there was very small portions… I think she got two ribs!!! My plate of «sausage» and pulled pork had Z-E-R-O flavor… the pork was like chewing a piece of gum that someone else had chewed for like an hour… that then sat for another hour… in the sun… and then you ate it(gross right!) the sides i got were the fried okra and some weird mashed potato/cheese thinggy… again Z-E-R-O flavor the sausage was basically hillshire farm with cheese in the middle… that would’ve been more flavorful though… the total was around 31 $ and it was a waste of money and then there was these weird onion pieces that i really didn’t understand… we did leave with some BBQ sauces and the«free» soft serve the soft serve is a bribe… guess that’s where they get a for… it was a waste of money but a great laugh for us when we returned home bottom line… if you want tasteless food you have to drown in sauce and small portions and waste money come here… if Stockton had a good BBQ place we wouldn’t have to be scammed like this… that’s how i feel sorry, not sorry

I have had experience with another great Dickey’s at Rancho so I had high hopes. I order my usual extra fat sliced brisket, but the brisket was as dry as beef jerky. The brisket here was so dry I couldn’t even finish half of it, and I usually eat the entire 1lb if not more. It was just terrible and sad. I walk in to a cashier leaning against the table and rolling her eyes at me like I interrupted her conversation. After purchase my recieipt showed a difference in price so I asked and she basically said the charge was correct even though the price didn’t match what I usually pay for. Someone else had to explain it for her. I will never go here again. Shame there are so few meat options in Stockton. It’s expensive, take your money elsewhere. This store is not well managed.

I came when it was empty and the food was probably sitting for a bit but I ordered the two meat plate. Beef Brisket and Pork Ribs with bbq beans and mac n cheese. The beef brisket was rather dry and lacked in the flavor department. However, it was tender. The pork ribs were a little better. It was tender, had a nice savory flavor to it, and went well with the bbq sauce. BBQ Beans & Mac N Cheese: bland. The original sauce vs spicy sauce: While both were good sauces, I could not tell the difference. They tasted the same and there was seriously no kick to the spicy sauce at all. If you guys are going to have a spicy sauce, have a spicy sauce. Not just original with a few pepper flakes. The service was great though. I told them that it was my first time here and gladly explained the menu and what my options were. Even told us about the free ice cream, which i would not have known about.

Food tasted okay. It does taste like BBQ. Here are the pluses: 3 different BBQ sauces Free soft serve ice cream Fast service What I didn’t like: 35 dollars of food feels like only 20 The 3 sauces taste relatively the same Onion rings were kind of over done and oily I’m not a fan. Most likely not returning.

As I’m always on the prowl for good BBQ, I decided to give these guys a try. Meh, it’s not bad and it’s not good. It kinda ruins the BBQ vibe when all the meat is being unpacked and cut from saran wrap. All the meat was pretty dry. The pulled pork was unremarkable. It should be just the right amount of greasy/moist with a hint of salt. It was dry. So was the beef brisket, which needed more rub and fat to give it bark and juiciness. The ribs were ok. The meat has a light smoke. The sauces were fine, if used in small quantities(they are overpowering). I got the potato salad which was way too goopy for my tastes(plus some celery might give it some texture). The BBQ beans were ok. The place looked clean. However, the employees were dull and unengaging. C’mon even McDonald’s employees try and be pleasant! Bottom line: I’ve had much better and I’ve had worse. I’ll be back to try more stuff, but I may just give Botley’s another try too.

The employees were not friendly or helpful and there were 3 people working when I asked what they suggest. They pretended not to hear me and when I asked again they still were not helpful. Also, they didn’t pack any sauces for the family pack we bought. I hope they read this and either step it up or quit. If you don’t like your job, find something else you’re better at. Or if you don’t like people, don’t go into customer service. Food is good, employees are bad.

The short: I would rather eat a BBQ microwave dinner than this slop again. The long: I don’t know what I was thinking walking into a chain barbecue restaurant and boy did I pay for it. I ordered the brisket with bbq beans and mac n cheese as sides. Now the service was pretty mediocre, but that food WOW that was crap. The brisket was overcooked and I’m pretty sure it had been kept in a steamer box for days because it was mush and had zero flavor. There was no hint of sauce, smoke, rub, or anything it was completely and utterly tasteless. The beans I can say with a high amount of certainty came straight out of a can and just warmed up. The mac n cheese was overcooked noodles and some kind of artificial cheese sauce. I wasn’t even kidding when I said I would rather eat a microwave dinner before eating here again. I have no idea how Dickey’s has made it as a chain restaurant serving food this horrible! What works: Yeah i’m at a loss for anything good. What to improve: I dunno maybe the food would be a good starting point!

Rather poor food quality and service. The food — pulled pork was ok. BBQ sauce is very average. Onion rings were over done. Fries were very good. The mini bread loaf is good but saturated in oil. Free soft serve is not worth the effort. The service — my girlfriend and I ordered two child plates. The order was going well until the cash register girl told me «We only serve child plates to people 12 and under, so next time we will not make your order: I don’t think that will be an issue for us.

I thought this place had good food. They are at a nice location just next to the mall. The servers worked quickly and checked on us a few times which I liked. We were greeted right away and food was given quickly aside from our fried foods. Now on to the food! I got the 2-meat combo that comes with two sides. I got chicken and polish sausage with fried okra and beans. The chicken and sausage were good but what really saved it are the sides. The fried okra and beans were really good. I tasted my sister and brother’s food. They got pulled pork and ribs and their sides were mac and cheese green beans and their sides were delicious as well. They have sweet, original and spicy sauce all were good but depending on your taste. The only thing is that there are more sides than there are meat servings. But to make it up for dessert they did free soft serve ice cream! Yum. I will definitely come here again!
