Lady/owner that worked there was rude when my girlfriend and i decided to share a bowl since its so much food for just one person. I wasnt that hungry because I have already ate earlier that day but my girlfriend was. She told us that there was no sharing and made us leave the place.

Lady was EXTREMELYRUDE! I paid for 3 to go plates and she would t allow us to sit and eat there. We clearly would have to go containers but nope she thought we were going to continue to fill up. SMH. She would not let me explain she snatched my debit card, she didn’t bother to let me continue my order(I had additional items I wanted to purchase). She put my receipt down on a counter full of dirty dishes where my receipt got wet. Once we got In line we had to wait 7 mins to get tofu and onions since they were out. The same rude lady took my sides to the oven counter where the men cook your food. As our food was cooking I look inside the bag to see that she literally THREW3 small boxes of rice(one of which had maybe a table spoon of rice in it!) and the additional sides. Boxes overturned!!! Seriously? The cooks get bad and re packed my bag and added an additional bag since my order CLEARLY would not all fit in one bag. NEVERAGAIN! I grew up on this food but only went to the Venitian Bridges/Grand Canal location! I will ONKYGOTOTHATLOCATIONFROMNOWON!

To be blunt, it is as bad as they say. Literally piles of food on the ground, half the condiments empty, and it is way more trouble than its worth. If you can get through that, the food is ok and the table service is good. I would not go out of my way for it. To me the biggest issue is the restaraunt not enforcing anything on to-go orders. I watched at least four people in front of me proceed to pile their bowls so full they had to get plastic bags to hold their take out boxes as the food would not fit inside a normal white Chinese take out container. The chefs were happy to do it as they were getting tipped 5 bucks a pop to pile it in there. Picture enough food for three people. If as a restaraunt you let an element take advantage of you like that, you are going to attract those same people who trash your ingredient lines with no regard. Highly disappointed as I love Mongolian bbq. Will have to wait until I head back up to Chico and stop at Hulas where I don’t feel like showering after I eat.

Do not let the negative reviews on here scare you away, this place is amazing!!! I had been reluctant to try it and my coworker finally dragged me in. The ingredients were fresh and well stocked. It was pretty clean and tidy until we went through. Do not judge cleanliness by messiness because things spill when people are trying to stack their bowl to the max! We took it to go since we were on lunch and my only complaint is that the spring roll was cold so I took away one star. By far the best take out I’ve had in a LONG time and definitely worth $ 9! I still have half leftover for tomorrow!

Best place ever. The waitress knows my family. The cooks are always nice and happy. The place is small but that’s ok. We go on off hours so we don’t wait forever in line.

For the past 3 years I have been going to the GK Mongolian in Manteca. Never once have I had a problem. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was spotless. I decided to try the one in Stockton and I was horrified. The restaurant was filthy, the grill was dirty, and I received a to go cup with a bug in it. A BUG! I will not be going here again until they change their ways and clean up! Worst Mongolian place ever.

The food is really good and the service is good as well. The only thing is the bar thing were you get the food is really nasty but a lot of people use it so it doesn’t bother me to much.

I came here for a dinner with my husband and 2 kids, ages 10 and 12. The dinner price for an eat all you can chow mein bowl is $ 10.75 per person, excluding drinks. My 10-year-old child was charged for $ 7 excluding drinks. I was surprised because the place called Mongolian Barbecue, but it is just choices of frozen sliced meat with all the chow mein veggies and sauce that you choose to fill the small bowl for the cooks to cook them in front of you. There is no such Barbecuing involved. It’s just a plain Chow Mein bowl with veggies of your choice. But that is what Mongolian Barbecue really is. For information of those who don’t know, just like me. So, don’t expect any fancy type of barbecue. Thanks to one of the Unilocalers, Dale for this information :). Eat all you can Chow Mein My daughters also complained that there was a fly hopping on the meat and veggies choices. The bowl that you take to put in all these ingredients is very small, so obviously all the veggies you wanted to have will not fit and they end up falling if you file them or at least to get all the simple veggies the Chow Mein should have. This makes the counter where all these veggies and frozen meats become so messy, as well as the floor. My daughter almost slips when she stepped on one of the veggies on the floor. The location is great, the place is okay, not crowded or noisy. I have not seen the rest room. The cooks are friendly and the server is okay. Your table is served with ice cold water, a very tiny bowl of rice for each, a very tiny tasteless bowl of egg white soup/each, a piece/each of small bread looking dessert(that both of my daughters said, it tasted like a clay and it really tasted awful and looked uncooked, a small saucer of crunchy stuff(for a table of 4). You would think they should give more or at least for four servings because they also serve the same amount for a table of one, and a set of hot spices meant for Chinese Chow Mein dining. The food will taste good if you know what spices to put in your bowl for the cook to cook them. If not, you’ll end up with a tasteless bowl of noodles. You will probably master it after a couple of experiments since you are welcome to go back as many as you want. But the feeling that you are being watched will make you feel very uncomfortable. The eyes must be on you because they have to make sure you are not taking home leftovers if that is not your first bowl. My 10-year-old daughter didn’t finish her food(her first bowl) and she hardly ate. I asked the server for a box to take it home so she can eat later and perhaps, I recook and re-flavor it at home, but to my surprise, the server said that we can’t do it because her food is discounted as child price for $ 7.00. What? Although they said customers can take leftover of their first bowl. They rather let that food that I paid for goes to waste instead of the child enjoying or finish it at home. That $ 7 is more than enough if I got a take out from Panda Express where the food tastes so much better, with lots of choices and not«just» a chow mein. It just looks like you’re getting a lot of choices because the ingredients are separated, but you are actually getting just one dish — Chow Mein! With this type of service, the price is not even worth it for just a bowl of Chow Mein. All you get for a $ 10.75/person + tax and excluding drink is a bowl of stir fried Chow Mein. You can get a much more decent meal for that price at some fine dining and if you even go to Panda Express for much lesser and tasty food for much less, or a buffet at some other good Asian buffet. There are so many places for a the same type of food for a much lesser price where children are welcome to bring home the paid for food that they don’t finish. NOT recommended at this time. NOT A CHILDORPARENTSFRIENDLY! Waste of money! I will probably give this place another chance to improve. Everybody deserves a chance and will update this review.

I only go to Stockton for two reasons. 1. To accompany my roommate to visit her family 2. To eat Mongolian BBQ! ! I’m not from Stockton and I have to say that this is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. It’s so delicious, and it’s so cheap! You have a huge bowl to add as much noodles, meat, veggies, sauces, etc. as you can, then the cook will pour it all onto a round cooker and fry it all right in front of you. With your bowl you’re given a small bowl of rice, and soup with ice cold water. It’s nice to have some variety with the BBQ it helps me fill up with other food so I have enough BBQ left over to take to go. You’re allowed more than one bowl but you can’t take it to go if you have more than one. I think? It’s been awhile since I’ve been but the next time I’m in Stockton I will be there as soon as I can!

GK Mongolian on E Hammer Ln in Stockton, California. Unilocal Challenge 12⁄100 I came in the other day with my two eldest children for lunch here. My eldest chose this place to celebrate my birthday. Since I went to the other location with my youngest. These two wanted to try this place out. Note: My bday is in January and I celebrate for the whole month. Because thats how a Ninja rolls. If you didn’t read any of my past reviews tip: This year I mixed it up, My three kids picked out places they wanted to take me for my bday month. I’m on that hungry status tip before 3:30 pm it’s lunch only one serving and past, is all you can eat for $ 9.95 Tip: They take credit Pro tip: They serve alcohol NFL Tip: They have a restroom Major league tip: Good for large groups Don Juan tip: Great for a date We came in and the staff was changing everything over because they were getting ready for dinner. You can pick your own table but the waitress picked out a table for us. We grabbed our bowls and started to pile them up with noodles and toppings. Our drinks, eggflower soup and rice was waiting for us. So that was cool and we got informed that our egg rolls will be out shortly. The first thing, I noticed is the rice bowl they gave us is smaller here. Then the egg rolls came out and you get those instead of the peanut butter biscuits that they serve at the other location in town. Also you don’t get the won ton chips here either. The $ 7.95 lunch bowl you get is bigger than the dinner bowl. Because it’s only one serving so pile it up high to get your moneys worth. The service felt a little rushed, I think it was shift change because the cook and the waitress were different once 3:30 pm started. The dinner rush was swarming in with the quickness. We didn’t even finish our food and our ticket was already for us to get cashed out. That’s the only thing, I would have to say. But now I know come here at a different time. My heir to my throne tip:) my Son is crazy picky The biggest surprise of it all was my son, I was lightweight tripping because he actually enjoyed his meal. That right there made my day. He told me he would like to comeback whoop whoop. :) My eldest daughter she enjoyed her food the soup, rice and egg rolls was enough for her. She got really full off half of the bowl and took the rest home. My food was good and I always add them peanuts to it. It’s a little crunchy but it tastes Gucci Meng. The egg rolls are basic egg roles but I really did want those peanut butter biscuits. Vincent Vega tip: check my other review for GK Mongolian to see the pictures of what Peanut butter biscuits are. Like always, I had a wonderful time with my children and we’ll be definitely be coming back soon. Doing what this Daddy does best spending time with my children. My children are my world and everything else in life is a bonus. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Always, enjoying the simple things in life.

Came here bc we thought it was different than the Grand Canal location(which I was sick of). Low and behold, same owners. I will say this location seemed cleaner and had a few more options, the main one I remember was asparagus, which was delicious. Everything else was the same: same free soda w to-go, same prices at dinner and lunch, etc
