Grand Buffet

I’ve been to this place before maybe once or twice. Recently I ate here and I am going to be blunt, I cannot stand a dirty bathroom! Their bathroom is a mess. The paint is rusted and the walls are dirty. The bathroom doesn’t smell fresh, the toilets are dirty and people throw wet toilet paper all over the floor, I don’t know why but the bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months.
The employees seem very obnoxious and as if they don’t wanna be there. They seem so uptight and none of them seem to smile at all. They do not look happy. That’s a horrible impression of customer service. Definitely not friendly. Every single one of them look obnoxious!
The booth where I sat at, the seat was broken. And the whole place just looks out dated and really needs to be refurbished and painted.
Now as for the food, let me say, I cannot stand the fact that everything was so greasy. Chowmein, stir fry, mushroom chicken, oh and that deep fried oyster thing or whatever it is, and many more. All greasy!!! Food here is nasty. This place is a no no. Well I’m pretty sure there are others that feel the same and can relate to what I’m talking about. But this place is not the business at all. Not worth your money. I will not be stepping foot here again. Oh btw, I rated this place with one star because their sprite was probably the best thing there. But doesn’t change that fact that the place is horrible along with their nasty food and obnoxious employees. Bad service, dirty restaurant, nasty food.

Showed up on sunday 15 minutes after opening. waited 20 minutes to be seated it was horribly crowed the owner was just constantly shouting at the staff and at the customers waiting to be seated. The food was ok although i have never had yellow fried rice. It didn’t seemed fried just cooked with something to turn it yellow. The staff was terrible the lady cleaning the tables slammed plates and chairs with anger. If you dont like your job she should quit. $ 75 tab left very unsatisfied. Threw them a $ 1 tip which they probably wont get a penny of and gave the homeless guy standing at the door as we walked out a dollar which has become a common sight in Stockton

If I could give a place 0 stars, that would not even be enough to do this review justice. I have literally never been to a worse establishment in my entire life. The service was horrendous, everyone looked like they hated their jobs and didn’t want to be there. They were rude, snappy and you could also tell that they didn’t care about the customers since they just snapped at them too.
The food was awful. There was a hair in the soup, the food was warm, not even hot, and it’s on a freaking hot surface the entire time. The seafood all looked awful and the food was just not clean at all. The shrimp wasn’t deveined, which is pretty much one of the nastiest things to eat on this earth. Everything tasted like no thought or care was put into it and it was just so so disappointing. I also got sick after eating this food! Isn’t that great? I for sure did not feel well the day after we ate here and was feeling icky the whole day. So upset with this place. Pretty much just done with thinking about it.
We came here for my grandma’s birthday and they played some birthday song to the entire restaurant and then no waiters or anything were anywhere in sight. Like… why. I wouldn’t have minded if they didn’t play the song at all.
Next time we go somewhere for my grandma’s birthday, I’m choosing the restaurant.
Don’t waste your time or money here.

was here one day with my family and fount a cockroach inside a rice crispy after that they only offered me free of charge for me and only me but everyone still had to pay but they were disgusted to even eat anymore. not a great place to eat at or be in.

Horrible owners and they embarrassed us. We arrived during lunch and we had no idea what the lunch food buffet was vs dinner buffet once it placed out. after The food is mixed throughout the buffet. My friend went for seconds and when he came back and was eating the waitress came over and told him he crab legs aren’t a part of lunch. She then went and told the owner and she came over yelling and chastising my friend about he didn’t pay for dinner and you gotta pay extra etc. We would not have had a problem paying the extra but at that point my friend didn’t want the crab legs because of how it was handled.
I tried talking to the owners husband about how irate his wife was. He ignored me and walked off speaking in their language. Never again will I go here.

Customer service was horrible! When we got seated the waiter was talking on her phone. She was tapping on her notepad expecting us to tell her what we wanted to drink without even giving any attention to us. Right after we started eating another waiter told the table near us that they cant eat the food they already brought to their table because it was only for dinner. She then took the food from them and tossed it. To top it off the «chef» frying noodles was also talking on the phone. Horrible, horrible, horrible. This place is beyond poor customer service, it’s degrading.

HANDS DOWN one of the most horrific tragic excuse of This buffet. If Unilocal gave me the option to give 0 stars, that would still be too kind for for this particular building. Food was leftover from lunch, the person running the grill took an hour break so we couldn’t get out hot plates, and did I mention the food was old? Despite all the terrible food, the worst part was the end. We received the bill, did our cAlculations, and it turns out that the cashier did not pass her mathematics standards test back in her day. She miscounted the senior discounts and the one child, causing our bill to be over 15 dollars than what it was supposed to be, no signs of customer service seems to be present in this location. Want good food? Stay away from this notorious establishment.

2 stars only because seemed like none of the employees wanted to be there no type of welcoming greeting or your welcome when you say thank you not even a smile when you says hello. Foods pretty good though.

Yuck! Everything taste like fish! I hate when they use the same oil to cook everything!

A friend and I stopped in here for the first time for something to eat on Christmas evening. The place was pretty full because most local restaurants were closed. The price is pumped up because it was one of their special holiday buffets ($ 13.95 pp). The food here is primarily Asian, but there are things like pizza for the kids. I was surprised to find Unagi and Saba on the sushi line. The Saba was good and fresh. There was lots of different fish items cooked different ways (grilled, baked, fried, etc.)…fish, crab, squid, shrimp, etc. There were several different soups on the line, but I didn’t try any of them. There’s is also a dessert line with an ice cream machine. There is also a salad bar.
Overall, the food was OK in my book. I see a lot of others don’t give this place a good review. It makes me wonder exactly what others are comparing this place to… other restaurants, other buffets? In buffets, we fill our plate, eat, leave the plate on the table, and get a new one… so tables usually look cluttered. Anyone that has been to a buffet should know and expect this as being a part of what to expect. Food is mass produced and cooked. Veterans should be used to this as this hasn’t changed much in the military for centuries. As a Veteran, I wish I had such a selection to choose from when I was on active duty. Not the best, but definitely far from being the worst.

My wife and I just went here tonight and we believe that this is the absolute WORST place we have ever eaten in our lives and we go out to eat probably 3 times a week. The food was absolutely disgustingly NASTY. Don’t expect anything fresh here. I feel ripped off that we even had to pay for this nasty, disgusting food. It was barely warm and since it is a buffet, I tasted everything I could in hopes of finding something I liked. I mean even the rice was nasty. How do you mess up rice? Well they know how ! The buffet looked good at first but I tried a tiny bit of every single dish and I had to spit it out into a napkin. The place was filthy dirty too. The tables and everything on them were sticky and had dried old food all over it. The staff was extremely rude, disrespectful and unbelievably «weird». They stood there actually staring at us and watching us eat. I felt like I was in a «Horror Movie». Very odd people working here and it shows in their food. One word tonight — Disgusting. Do not eat here.

This is definitely a place where I would NOT recommend anyone to go to. Rude staff, they have a small selection of food, and to top it all off the food tasted as if it had been sitting out for hours! THUMBS DOWN ALL THE WAY.

Most horrible customer service I have ever received in my life. The food was mediocre but appropriate for the price. This was the first time I didn’t leave a tip and I didn’t feel bad at all. If you value customer service at all steer clear of this place at all costs!

I was reading reviews before I go to this place, so I didn’t expect anything spectacular here.
Food, I just pick the one that cook fresh and just come out of the kitchen, just to make sure I get to eat a fresh one, not left over from the day before. So, I think they taste good, nothing hurt my stomach so far… What I like about it is the noodle station where you can pick the ingredients and then they will cook fresh for you. Salt & pepper shrimps are always my favorite dish at any chinese buffet. They’re good. Deep fry food is o.k. here but stir fry or steam, you will be able to smell some of sea food that might not be fresh.
I finished my meal with dessert and ice-​cream (not really good ice-​cream), and I got a cup of coffee, it’s my way to have dessert. The coffee cup smells exactly like «clorox» so I’ve asked for a replacement. the waitress didn’t really understand much of what I was trying to tell her. But every cups smell the same. I couldn’t drink it. I was afraid of drinking clorox coffee. ;-)
Service, as every reviews said. The service was bad, the waitresses are so unfriendly, never seen they smile. And the worst is when you go checking out, she will stand right next to you to wait and see how much tip you’d give it to her. I felt like I didn’t wanna give a dime but. I gave some anyway. No happy face, no thank you and no good service. I wish I could have said that «If you smile a little but, I’d have tip you a good one»

Brought my family here for an Asian buffet dinner, but was totally disappointed. Most of the food looked like it was sitting around for hours. What I did dare to try was either cold and bland and whatever seafood products were out were tough and rubbery! Even the fried chicken was difficult to chew or swallow. And to top it off it really seemed like the employees didn’t care. There were plenty of them circulating and none of them did anything to maintain any amount of quality control. The bathrooms were completely filthy and the final straw was that for 2 adults and 3 kids we had to pay $ 65!!! Of all of the available choices I could only stomach their hot and sour soup as it was the only thing that was hot!!! Thank God their chow mein noodles were decent or my kids would’ve starved! I will NEVER COME BACK here ever unless they have a change of management. I’m sorry for this review, but this was food service at its worst!!!

I’m bummed to give this place two stars. It’s a really convenient place to go when I’m craving asian food and need to drag Brandon along. There are a lot of choices and that gives me the flexibility of having anything I want while Brandon goes for something completely different. The problem is the quality and service weren’t quite there.
While I was there I grabbed dumplings, green beans, noodles and a few other random dishes. The green beans were crisp and fresh and the regular dumplings had a high turnover which put fresh ones on my plate. However, I had some of the shrimp gyoza that must have been sitting out for a long time, the bottoms were soggy and the tops hard as a rock from sitting there. The food, for the most part was good, but I would rather give up the vast choices for better quality.
The servers were not very friendly and pretty much ignored us all together. We had our waters filled once but it was in such a hurry that cups were slammed and water sloshed. We love interacting with restaurant staff and feeling welcomed in, not like we should be rushing out.
After everything I won’t be heading back, there are plenty of great asian restaurants around the area and I’ll gladly give up the amount of choices I have (and end up paying the same price) for higher quality food served with a smile.

First time here. Wil never come back. Food was aweful: no flavor, fish was disgusting and overcooked, sushi was cheap quality, vegetables were overcooked, and ice cream was cheap quality too.
Service was horrible too. Snobby owner/​managers, servers never said anything to us and walked around like zombies waiting for us to leave. Like another person mentioned, they really don’t care about how your experience is. They only want you to leave to get a tip. Was I going to tip? Hell no!
When we left, I paid and no, «Thank you,» «Have a nice day,» or not even a bit of eye contact or smile.
The food was bad and the service was bad. This place needs to go. Don’t mean to be so harsh but it’s like they didn’t even try to put any effort into our stay or others as well.

We were just here and it wasn’t our 1^st time. We always eat here even though food is not superb. It is not 1^st class and I have got to admit place is pretty dirty such as tables aren’t completely clean and I doubt if they sanitize the tables after each customers and restrooms are filthy too. Another thing that I cannot stand are the waitresses, they are money hungry for tips. They are literally waiting at the table until u leave them a tip. So unprofessional. Their services aren’t even 1^st class service. One time that we were here, we notice two waitresses fighting over a tip.
No stars for this restaurant, should be strip out of their business license.

I went to this place with my girlfriend we got a booth you talk about it being NASTY DIRTY dirty widows dirty table it look like boogers and grease on the windows I saw it as I was eating I got grossed out but I am a very gross. Person but it really made me sick to my stomach so I complain about the widow and didn’t have anything to say .But if you look around at the time when you are about to eat you will see what I am talking about
