Love the food and service. Fyi…Vietnamese Coffee is legit, but as with all Vietnamese Coffees they are not for the weak, think Cuban Coffee.

Phở 888… I might give it another try since they changed their name added new items. I just don’t know about their customer service. First experience: Two employees brought phở to our table, but we didn’t order either ones. They started cussing & yelling at each other in Vietnamese. My friends & I paid separately & I was the last one up to pay. They said there were 2 more orders that haven’t been paid, I told we did and have receipts for prof if they want to see it. There were at least 5 employees at the counter, they started yelling & arguing again in Viet in front of me. And I actually had PHO! It was just okay with too much noodles. Second Experience:(I really didn’t wanted to go but most of my friends love it there): My husband & I were the last ones to arrived, we left after maybe 4 minutes? The waitress spilled mocha or some kind of coffee on two of my friends. Oh, it was nothing much, only on their $ 800/bag, $ 200/boots, $ 100/jeans & and parts of their bodies. The waitress’s respond, «you can take it back for an exchange.» She didn’t even apologize! Horrible horrible customer service! No, I mean, the waitress can’t even serve. She was rude, has no manners nor common sense!

This is the first place in stockton that I’ve been to that has good phở. I usually travel to down town Modesto for spectacular phở. The broth could be a little more flavorful I had to add a lot of condiments to flavor it to my liking. We got the fried prawns appetizer it was cooked perfectly and the sweet and sour sauce was good. Now for what I didn’t like. The customer service was lacking big time. Took FOREVER to get our order. After we got our food she didn’t come and check on us not once. I had to go to the register to ask for a refill. Another thing I didn’t like was that there were only two sizes small or large. There’s only a dollar difference but I think there should also be a medium option as well.

PHOINSANITY!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many eons ago I stopped in here for their huge Phở Challenge, which consists of like a gallon or two of Phở, with tons of noodles & filling(but none to tasty fix ins). Since I have to read & sign a LIABILITYSTATEMENT that they would not be responsible for my food induced Stroke or MI, I figured that death by Phở, for only $ 25 was cheaper than going to Switzerland for Assisted Suicide(which is legal there & is a form of one way tourism… ha ha…)(see the website for Dignitas, if you doubt me). Judging by the pics on the walls & what the waiter claimed, only one human had done this, and did not die. Anyway, I ordered this monstrosity, and out came this multi-gallon bucket filled with boiling hot, but rather bland Phở(even with the fix ins). I think I had like 45 mins or an hour to finish, but I stopped after about ½ hr. & felt like I was having heat stroke, was nauseous & dizzy. During the process, it went from being an interesting challenge to sheer insanity. I was also hell(or purgatory) bound for the sin of extreme GLUTTONY !!! Going on… It was really too hot to eat fast, but I stuffed my face, relentlessly. After about 5 minutes of gobbling down the food, the level did not seem to go down… AHHHHARGGGGG!!! so I started using 2 pairs of CHOPSTICKS for both my LEFT&RIGHT hands… and then alternating with two big spoons & forks. Since I am right handed, my LEFT hand acted rather stupid, & refused to coordinate with my RIGHT. I began to sweat profusely after a brief time & it became evident that this was NOTFUNINANYWAY… ITWASSELF-INDUCEDTORTURE! Food S&M, in a way… Why not WHIPME while I try to DOWN this OCEAN of PHO! So PHO-GETABOUTIT! After getting about 1⁄3 down then gave up(see pics) …it was the zillion pounds of hot noodles that really did me in. Well at least the waiter was impressed with my obvious insanity. Anyway, I cannot say that I enjoyed either the food, nor the challenge… but I can tell you that I WILLNEVERTRYTHATAGAIN… I did take some pics… it was quite awhile ago, but someone recently complimented me on a pic of the legal waiver… & the HORRORCAMEBACK, as I sit here in a deep sweat as I type like crazy on my iMac!!! GOODGOD… I AMCLINICALLYINSANE& this proves it… I surely need to be in the lonely bin, the booby-hatch, the asylum, or back in NYC… where everybody is so NUTS, that no one will notice me :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyway, for a Phở place, you are far better off in da Bay Area… or even Modesto. Stockton is not known for fine dining, but I used to hit the downtown Stockton(old Filipino/Chinatown) King’s Dim Sum place, when I had to go for a meeting for work.

Because there’s so many Vietnamese restaurants in Stockton, I would advise you to try your other options and to stay away from this one! Our table ordered Bun Rieu and a rice plate with some grilled pork, eggs and Chinese sausage. First of all, the Chinese sausage was HARD! It wasn’t pleasant to eat. it was very dry and was hard to cut up even with a fork and knife. no bueno. Secondly, the pork blood in the bun rieu had a very strange after taste which honestly ruined my appetite a bit– who wants to take a chance with pork blood that isn’t prepared correctly?! Yuck! However, because I was so hungry I just ignored that part of the dish. Compared to phở lucky, the broth isn’t nearly as flavorful so I had to add some extra condiments to bring it somewhat up to par. On the positive side the restaurant is bright and pleasant. The service was pretty good as well but it doesn’t make up for the bad food– not worth coming back in my opinion.
