Working in BFE can have its disadvantages. One for instance would be the extreme LACK of quality food establishments within the area that accommodate the 1 hour face shoveling most call their lunch hour. Moreover, working in an office so engulfed(har har har) with its GOLF game, its no surprise I found myself dining on the course(daaaahling) last Friday afternoon. The course is nestled in a nice quiet sub division that from afar would look like Anywhere, USA… but up close… the bars on the windows and junker cars on the lawns let me know that while KB homes may have built this fine tract home development… its far from Pleasantville.(read: don’t go here at night) Straight to the food– it’s your typical bar food to be blunt. Standard American food including hamburgers, fries, onion rings with a large amount of Mexican fare as well including nachos, burritos, etc. I had the nachos with well seasoned fresh chicken good, and hit the spot. My friend had the tostada that looked good(fresh) All in all if you are to randomly find yourself at this golf course be sure to grab a snack. But by no means make your way out to 8th street in south Stockton to indulge in Stockton’s(almost) finest in Golf course cuisine.
