It’s weird. I lived in Boston for the better part of 10 years. I know it’s Dunkin Donuts territory. No one loves Dunkin Donuts coffee more than me. I try to visit my «second home» of Boston at least once every couple of years. I certainly visit Dunkin’s up here too. But I can get Dunkin’s in Philly. So it’s not that special. This last trip, I wanted to switch it up. I decided to give Honey Dew a shot at impressig me with their iced coffee. I’m now in love with their cinnamon hazelnut flavor. It’s a perfect combination. I wish Dunkin would do it. I did notice however that Honey Dew iced coffee does get watered down a little faster as the ice melts. Edge to Dunkin in that regard.

1 star because I can not give 0. Went to Honey Dew in Stoneham for the first time last week. My daughter was very excited to try a smoothie. When we walked in the CSR greeted us in a rude manner. I asked what flavors of smoothies they had. She told me to go look in the window. This is not how you treat a customer. It shows a lack of knowledge, training, and consideration for the customer. I was also shocked at the $ 5 price tag for a smoothie. I’ll stick with Dunkies.

Tried their new chicken salad on a bagel today. It was a step above dunkin because it was a little less miracle whip-y. I still dislike that tangy mayo-like spread crap. Not sure why both HD and DD have gone that route with their chicken salads. What is up with the texas donut?

So, I admit it– I am a huge coffee fan. If it sells coffee then it’s quite likely I have stopped, I plan to stop or I will pull over and cause an accident if I notice it while driving along. Not saying that’s what happened when I spotted this location, of course… Anyway! Honey Dew is my favorite coffee chain. This is a great location with a friendly staff. I love walking around Stoneham as it is, and this just adds a reason to visit. Yum!

every time I order a plain bagel here, I get a sesame bagel. it’s happened several times. If they consider that plain, perhaps they should go back to baking school 101. I’ll stick with dunks.

I always hated Honey Dew. Maybe it was because for the longest time the only one near where I lived was awful, maybe it was the stark black red white contrast. So when I moved to Stoneham I steered clear of the small shop in the square and headed to Dunkins down the road. Once I started working early and had to commute at 5am I realized Honey Dew was the only place in the city open that early. Needing caffeine I finally tried it. Friendly employees, townies hanging out talking over donuts, and even a little sign with pictures of what dark, regular, and light coffee is — I couldn’t believe it. My habitual dislike of Honey Dew changed. Soon I was trying their donuts — much better than dunkins — and am still awstruck by their Texas Donut, a donut the size of a hub cap, not to mention their big selection of pastries. Their food just tastes fresher than most coffee joints. Good hours, super friendly staff, good location for any Stonehamites, I don’t bother with Dunkins or Starbucks anymore.

Go to DD for the coffee, go here for the donuts. - Got a few recently and was amazed at how big and good they were. These donuts are MUCH larger than DD: about 50% bigger. And the flavors are much more varied and fun. They have a handful of your standard donuts here, but most of the rest are neat ones like powdered sugar chocolate crème filled, or apple pie donuts, etc. It’s pretty cool. I love them. They’re not GREAT but they are really good. So — even though I don’t like their coffee, their donuts are worth the stop.

Well, it’s not as if Honey Dew Donuts is new to New England. But it is a welcome change to the Stoneham Area. This wee little donut shop — makes the greatest coffee(eat your heart out D&D) and the manager has picked some great staff members. Friendly service, coffee piping hot and an occasional muffin makes me very very happy. The only«bad» thing is that they don’t have the Peach Muffin all year around. Tell ‘em Joanne sent you ;)
