I wouldn’t get fro yo here again. I got it to go and it all stuck to the top and got SO messy. You don’t get to self serve, which in my opinion is the best thing about fro yo joints. They don’t have a lot of healthy options just strawberries and they layer it so all the toppings get mixed up.

Good yogurt, great deals. I thought the salted caramel pretzel flavor of yogurt was on point and the chocolate/vanilla flavors weren’t too bad either. I really appreciate how much stuff you can get for so little. I walked away with a huge frozen yogurt with 4 toppings for only 5 bucks. Definitely a great late night treat.

LOVE the Salted Caramel Pretzel flavor! Serving sizes are more than generous and when you order one topping you get ALOT of that topping. I believe they have a 4 toppings/$ 1 promo. Staff is very warm and attentive, quick to offer you samples of any flavor. FYI… Two people can definitely share a small size. It’s plentiful!

Red Mango has nothing on this place. Sure, it’s not make– your-own, and you are charged by the topping. But, portions are gigantic(order one, if not two, sizes smaller than you might otherwise to get a portion in line with what you would get somewhere else), and the favors are innovative and delicious. Service was great. Samples were generous. One sample was practically the size of a kiddie portion elsewhere. Prices were definitely waaaaaaay cheaper than Red Mango ounce for ounce. Best part: toppings are layered parfait style so you can keep enjoying them for the whole yogurt experience. Seems like everywhere else that they are gone in the first few licks or spoonfuls. I would have given five stars, but the lighting was weird and made me feel like I was being brought in for police questioning. All in all: go!

After eating dinner with my husband’s family at Carrabba’s in Smithtown, my niece had a hankering for frozen yogurt. So, my husband took to Unilocal to find a nearby frozen yogurt shop. Cool Monkey came up in our search and had good reviews. So, we took both cars and the 7 of us made our way over to Cool Monkey. When we pulled into the strip mall, we didn’t see a sign for Cool Monkey anywhere. Instead in the address listed for Cool Monkey, we found Mad Over Yogurt. We were definitely disappointed it wasn’t what we were expecting, but when a 3 year old wants fro yo, there’s no going back in a car. So, we went into Mad Over Yogurt. We were surprised to see the frozen yogurt machines behind a counter. The employees serve the frozen yogurt to you, which is quite different from the majority of frozen yogurt shops out there when you make your own. In this location, you have a choice of 4 different cup sizes which have a set price per cup size, not per weight. We were definitely disappointed by this, because a 3 year old doesn’t need a lot of frozen yogurt. So instead of hers costing $ 1, it was around $ 2.50 and more than she could physically eat. My husband and I decided to share a small Cookies & Cream frozen yogurt with mini M&M’s. It was more economical this way, and we were able to agree on a flavor and topping. Toppings will run you 59 cents each. I much prefer the traditional style frozen yogurt shops where you select your own frozen yogurt by pulling the lever and can then add as many toppings as you like where they are weighed. I like to add 3 or 4 toppings(but fewer of each). At 59 cents each, that would have quickly been way more than we wanted to spend. The frozen yogurt was tasty as was the topping. A bottle of water will cost you $ 1.50. Many other fro yo places have water coolers with cups for free water. While the taste was good, I doubt I’ll be back because I don’t like the system that they implemented. When I want frozen yogurt, I want it to be more hands on.
