I took my husband here for his birthday and we had a hard time deciding what we wanted to eat because everything sounded so good.

My boyfriend and I came here on restaurant week, because we are frequent visitors of Sofia’s in West Roxbury. We have nothing but good things to say about our visit! The staff was pleasant and accommodating, the atmosphere is warm and great for a night out with friends or a more intimate dinner. The drink selection is great, we’re martini people and every one we have tried is perfectly blended and delicious! The bread they have is also amazing, a crunchy seasoned outside with a warm soft inside, along with their seasoned cheese spread. We then had our apps, steak and cheese egg rolls and a caprese salad. For the main course I had pear ravioli which I wouldn’t mind eating every day of my life! The flavors were amazing! My boyfriend had the pappardelle which he quoted as «savory». After all the great food we had to finish our meal off right with dessert. The carrot cake was to die for and the tiramisu was a close second. This place does not disappoint and we will certainly return!

Amazing restaurant! Meals range from 20 – 40 $. The baked Duxbury oysters were yummy.(4 for 11 $) my Martini was HUGE and so was my dads gimlet. The sea scallops on corn risotto(29 $) was perfect. My bfs rigatoni was awesome, perfect portions, and really a classy and comfortable ambiance. Was really impressed. Also the tiramisu was on point!

I came here last night with a couple friends, place was okay. The décor & actual space is the best part. We sat in the lounge, which is adjacent to the bar, it has couches & comfy chairs scattered all over, a cute gas fireplace. It’s great to sit with friends if you want to have some apps and drinks, but don’t want to take up a big table. Better than sitting in a row at the bar and not being able to all have conversation. We started with the calamari & tuna tartare. The tartare was great, but we all agreed that the glaze that was on the calamari was very sweet. Would have been better if they just left it plain. For dinner my friends had the Bone in Delmonico, Agnolotti, & the Lobster Spaghetti. They all loved their meals. I had a bite of the Agnolotti & it was a little sweet, but still tasty. I had the Rigatoni, I’m not usually a fan of meat sauce, but this one was delicious. The combo of beef/lamb/pork was amazing. My favorite cocktail of the night was the Dazzletini. So cute, it looks like the solar system in your martini glass! It was sweet, but tasty. Overall, the food/drinks here were pretty yummy, and the space was cute. It was just so slow. I mean, the restaurant was pretty empty, as was the bar. We went at 7pm and didn’t leave until 10. Yes we were chit chatting, but it took a while to order/get our apps & entrees/pay the bill. I think this place is worth another shot, but maybe I would sit right at the bar or a table to experience better service.

Great calamari and salmon. Been there several times and never had a bad meal! There is a nice lounge in the bar where you can have drinks and apps near the fireplace

First, let me say that this was my second time at Amelia’s. The 1st time my lamb came out cold. But I figured I’d give them a second chance. This time I ordered the filet. The filet was supposed to be 8 ounces according to the menu and it was not. It was more like a 5 ounce steak. Next I ordered my steak medium and when it arrived at the table it was almost well done. The last and final straw was that although I sent my plate back to the kitchen and did not order anything else, no manager visited our table. It was almost as if it did not matter that we were unsatisfied! Very disappointing experience!

Great food and service. My favorite meal was the pear Agnolotti. The Thursday night salad special was reasonably priced.

Pricey as the north end without the quality. Like the wine locker idea but night i went here it was as loud as a beer hall in dining area, not the lounge. Cant justify the food prices to return

Went here on a Wednesday night with 3 friends and they are offering a prix fixe menu. Superb. We started with a bottle of Mionetto prosecco($ 35), which is well priced. It was Boston dine out week and the restaurant offered a prix fixe menu. For $ 33, you get a choice of appetizer, main, and dessert. There were four of us, so we got everything on the menu to share. The apps– Caesar Salad, Caprese Salad, calamari Friti, and Philadelphia cheesesteak egg roll. The Caprese was the star here, fresh mozzarella served with fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil, olive oil and reduced balsamic vinegar. It was wonderful and bring home Amelia’s concept of farm to table. The other three appetizers were good but just not as fresh tasting as the Caprese. For the mains– the cedar plank salmon was cooked to perfection served with roasted fingerling potatoes. Mmmmm… delicious. The lamb chops with a pomegranate fig demi glaze got the nods from my friends, although they would gladly skipped the potatoes au gratin and have more roasted fingerling potatoes from the salmon instead. The parpadelle with beef short ribs was a little on the salty side– according to my dinner companions. The agnolotti, ravioli stuffed with pear and mascarpone was not as well received. For dessert, the panna cotta and tiramisu were awesome. We got the carrot cake to go as we were so stuffed at that point. $ 33 per person for all the food was definitely good value for money and a great way to try out the restaurant’s offerings. Service was good. the restaurant was busy despite it being a Wednesday night. The promotion runs till March 18, 2016 so get there as soon as you can.

Good Italian cuisine managed by a genuinely friendly staff in a gorgeously decorated building. All of this gathered by my time drinking at the bar, sampling appetizers and cocktails while watching the Packers lose. For starters, good calamari; just not your typical. No big crunchy bite, but packed with huge Thai chili flavor. An interesting take for sure. Very good baked oysters, but the the oysters on the half shell were not a good haul. Probably just a bad batch of paper thin oysters that were poorly shucked and still stuck to the shell. Mignonette sauce paired well however. Finally, the chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream seemed sinfully decadent, and a must have if you’ve got the room in your belly.

Amazing. Just go. Now! Eat all the food(the chicken parm??? What??? How can you make food that tastes like magic?). The short rib pappardelle is amazing. My table mates loved the muscles and calamari. We were all thrilled with every single item brought to us. So fresh, so lovely. I can’t wait to go back. Why are you still reading this? Get over there.

I loved mostly everything about this restaurant. It was crowded and loud but the space was large so it didn’t feel that way and the design was cohesive and modern. We were sat in a large round booth, just the two of us, and it felt perfect. Wine list, while great for bottles, was less impressive for glasses. Fireplaces were cozy, antipasti looked mouth watering. As for food –He had the tuna –delish. but unsatisfying in a way. More because of the accompaniments less because of the Tuna itself. I had the salmon which I found to be amazing but I also thought that it almost hinted at more potential as far as flavor development. Our waitress was the sweetest and very knowledgeable. We will definitely be visiting again.

Great food and great service. A must stop. Stopped in for dinner and the waiter really knew his wine selection. Quiet but a great atmosphere! I will return soon.

Came here once with my mom for dinner and another time with friends for drinks. What a step up from Alberts and X&O! Finally there is some upscale dining in Stoughton because you know La Storia next door has been going downhill for a while now. Food is good, atmosphere is even better. I got bolognese, mom got salmon and we both really liked our meals. Sat at the bar, had drinks with friends and got really good service. They have a bar bites menu that offers small portions for like $ 5 – 7 each. Perfect for people who like to nibble on a bunch of different things

I have no idea how this place has been hiding from me for so long. I recently moved to the east side of Canton and came upon Amelia’s, not 5 minutes away. The outside appearance of the place suggests«quality» and beckoned me to come in for a try. I’ve now visited there 4 times with various different parties and each time my company and I have walked away pleased. Amelia’s is a large restaurant, decorated with dark wood and dimmed lighting, similar to what you’d expect from a Boston 5-star steakhouse. The restaurant is split into traditional seating, a central bar with surrounding cocktail tables and a «lounge», complete with large sofas, a fireplace and large flat-screen TVs. There are people of all ages there, during the 5 – 7 hours you can expect some families and some older folk who can comfortably sit next to the 20s/30s crowd and clink a martini glass. The atmosphere is such that you could be comfortable there in a suit and comfortable there in casual dress: jeans and a T shirt. The food is primarily Italian with both classic dishes and some I haven’t seen elsewhere, but Amelia’s also has a solid steakhouse section complete with ribeye, lamb chops and the like. My recommendations: try the spicy chicken wings(bar menu, but can be ordered anywhere), the short rib bolognese, the lamb chops and the molten chocolate cake(I realize this has gone out of style, but I still love it). There’s a pasta dish which involves an over-easy egg laid on top of it — the name escapes me — but it’s excellent and should also be tried. And there you have it…

I was here last night and we ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. I ordered the Caprese, Cod and Tira Mi Su. Boyfriend ordered the Calamari, Lamb chops and mango sorbet. The caprese was excellent. good chunks of mozzarella on sliced tomatoes drizzled with thinly cut basil on a bed of arugula. It was slightly saltier than i have had(sea salt) but none the less had really good flavor. There were three pieces. see photo. The calamari was freshly fried and light. The texture was good(wasn’t overcooked). again on a bed of arugula(i am in heaven :)) My Cod was very light and fluffy on a bed on corn risotto. Portion size was good. I think i ate about half of it, saving room for dessert. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops(2 pieces of 2) and it was nicely done — medium rare as ordered with a side of au gratin potatoes, again, very flavorful. The Tira Mi Su was also different. it’s lighter with less espresso. the chocolate power was a bit too much however, thickly layered. The mango sorbet was really good. very smooth and has huge mango flavor with a few slices of fresh mango and blue berries. The Prix Fixe discount unfortunately wasn’t deep, just saving a few bucks which wasn’t a great deal considering it was restaurant week. I think i would return again but would likely only ordered just 1 thing instead of a 3 course meal. The service was ok. it wasn’t great but once we hinted on water being refilled it picked up and got better. I’m not sure why there’s $$$ on the page. it’s only $$ considering most items are around the $ 24 mark on average. they’re defintiely under $ 30.

Came here a Tuesday night with a party of 14 after a long day at the Museum of Science. For a restaurant with a classy, upscale ambiance we were perhaps a little under-dressed but being the only patrons, what did it matter? Regardless of our worn out state, the food was incredible! Ambiance and Seating: Beautifully stained walnut walls, with mirrors and wine bottle displays. Dim lights and fake candles on the tables make it a romantic setting. Seating ranges anywhere from intimate booths to long tables for larger parties. The plush leather gives the restaurant an air of privilege and formality. Service: The waiter was efficient and friendly enough. He checked on us several times and refilled water glasses. Food: The food here is a little on the pricy end(3 course deal for $ 33 or $ 25−28/entrée). Regardless, its worth the wait and price. I didn’t try any, but members in our party claimed the calamari to be the best they’ve ever had. The Fettuccine, which I ordered, was also incredible. The pastas are homemade and fresh – the dish bursting with favor from the prosciutto, Marsala wine, and provolone. All the entrees came out hot and were served about the same time to all 14 of us. Oh and the Tiramisu – completely melt in your mouth deliciousness. Parking: Huge parking lot! Free too! Enough said. Absolutely recommend this place! Intimate and romantic enough for a classy date and large enough for a rehearsal dinner.

Beautiful place. food was fantastic and also the service too. Wings were amazing for the app. Chose to go with the prefix menu for $ 28. Couldn’t beat that considering most main entrées ran from 20 and up. Got the Wild Atlantic Cod, very good. And the panna cotta with honey and balsamic strawberries was a great light way to finish. Would definitely go back.

Came here on 7÷11÷15 for dinner. Heard about Amelia’s a while ago but just haven’t gone. So my boyfriend and I tried it out for the first time. There was plenty of parking. No wait at all on a Saturday night. Made me a little concerned but I didn’t mention it. Dining area was beautiful! I loved the set up. There was a private room for a big party that was nicely set up. It felt very comfortable. We order two apps and two entrees. The food was really good. We both enjoyed everything even the bread that came out nice and warm. Prices are a little up there but we will try the prix fixe menus on Monday — Thursday. Our waiter was great. Thank you for the great service George. We will be returning.

This was our first time dining at Amelia’s. food and service were both great. Since we were newbies, we took recommendations from our server. I don’t even like beets, but enjoyed the beer salad, which my wife wanted to split. For an appetizer, we got The ccalamari, which had a spicy chili sauce on it. If you go To Amelia’s, you need to try a pasta dish, which was spectacular(the pasta was homemade). The haddock special was lacking flavor, but the chef certainly knows how to cook seafood. We were amazed at the décor. It was a very romantic setting. I will certainly be back. Thanks for the great experience
