Love it! My go to place for breakfast I dont even need the menu I get the same thing, the hash benedict, everytime and it does not disappoint. Iced coffee is good as well and a side of blueberry pancake to top it off.

Wouldn’t even give one star if less were possible. Bacon was raw. Home fries were mush. We requested well done home fries but chef very rudely told our waitress that he couldn’t do that and she shouldn’t be requesting that. You get what they have already made. Wait staff were all nice.

If I could give this restaurant a –star I would. Today I went to this establishment with my mother and my daughter. Upon entering we were told that we could pick out a table. From there I had to move a high chair to the table that we picked out. We waited 10 minutes and received no service. While people who entered after my party were served immediately. The restaurant is set up where there is bar seating that over looks the dining area. Aside from being told to pick out a table I would consider that maybe the staff failed to know that we had arrived. Not the case! Just bad service with a large dose of rudeness(the staff saw us leave and had the opportunity to reel us back in). Never less I will make sure to share my experience to all the locals(lived in the area for 37 years).

First things first, this is not, NOT, a review of the food, staff or service all of which I think are great! What other people have said about the quality of the food is spot on, especially the hash. This is about my ability to access the food etc. Today is easily the 3rd Sunday in the past few that I have went to get breakfast between 1 and 1:30 and they have been closed. Posted hours say open till 2PM Sunday’s, that’s one of the reasons I like them cause so many other places close much earlier on Sundays(it’s Stoughton). Trust me, I get it, it’s there place then can maintain whatever hours they want but… they have literally given my business to the competition so much that if next Sunday at 1:20 I am going out for«breakfast» I will probably head to the place I am eating right now. If I can’t trust your posted hours what good are they? I will add one more thing, unfortunately for Stoughton and its residents this is not limited to Beantown, plenty of other restaurants close at what seems like anytime they feel like it. Can’t imagine why Stoughton isn’t a more popular destination.

I love Beantown. Great food and always wonderful service. Also love that it’s open late nights on the weekends. My family and I love to come eat here. My only suggestion is that they improve their home fires. They r not very good and always left behind from everyone at my table. Maybe even offer a shredded option. Other than the home fries I love the Beantown Dinner!!!

Giving 5 stars because people were not lying about the homemade hash. This is by far the best I’ve ever had! Nice cozy place on route 138, they have lunch items and dinner as well. Nice staff and funny customers. The service it’s super quick so that’s a huge plus. Go here and get the hash, you won’t be disappointed.

I would have to say that this is just an average diner with average and sometimes sub-par food quality. I ordered eggs with homefries, toast and cranberry juice. We sat next to the wait station where they simply poured the«juice» from a grocery store type juice jug. For the prices that you pay, you should get 100% juice when you are charged a couple of dollars for it. The cranberry juice I ordered was definitely that 25% juice junk with added sugar and water and it had that overly tart taste to it. The homefries I received with my eggs were burnt and were left on the plate. The scrambled eggs were definitely nothing special and just average. Toast was good. Nothing really special or unique about this place. Décor was basic and outdated. Overall, Just Average !!!

The other reviews I’ve read pretty much are from couples, at the least, and I assume sit at booths/tables, and not the counter. I’m a counter jockey, so I can’t comment on the other waitstaff. I’m a weekly weekend diner, sometimes both days when I visit, and regret weeks that I miss it. I almost always get the«Hash and Eggs», because the hash is divine. Freshly made, no canned or restaurant supply stuff. The eggs are delish, the butter could use some work, but meh, it’s OK. The homefries are awesome. Please don’t let the really negative ones turn you away. It’s a great place, especially if you’re alone at the counter.

This place is truly an abomination. As we are waiting for a table I watch the waitress clear the booth and set up the place mats. Never once did she clean the table with any sort of rag and/or cleanser. Good thing I brought hand sanitizer to clean the tables, to bad the ‘clean’ napkins were stained with coffee. I had a table of 4 and I order a breakfast sandwich. The egg is suppose to be runny but the yolk had obviously cracked while on the cook top and they never bothered to cook another one so I basically got an egg white sandwich. The straw that broke the camels back? She came over and THREW the bill on the table. No ‘Thank You’ No ‘Hope you enjoyed your meal’ she legit threw it on the table and walked away. I waited 10 more mins to pay, the waitress never showed. So I get up to try to pay the bill and am told I have to sit down and wait for MY waitress. After hounding another waitress a few minutes later my waitress shows up and I give her my money obviously expecting change(bill came to $ 25 and I gave her $ 40.) I watched her walk away, ring me up then literally disappear somewhere in the back room. After 10 minutes I get up and have to find YETANOTHER waitress to go find her because she left the building or something. I was pissed when I left, and I was even more pissed when I talked to a few friends of mine ANDTHESAMEEXACTTHINGHAPPENEDTOTHEM. The waitresses just disappear with your money hoping you wont wait 20 mins while they disappear. SKIPTHISPLACEENTIRELY!

We get Beantown breakfast to go at our office once a week and have never been disappointed. They have the BEST hash and eggs I’ve ever had and the meat lovers breakfast is excellent. Despite us getting it to go, it’s always warm and delicious. My only complaint, and it’s minor, is no mixed fruit jelly. It’s my favorite!

My husband and I use to eat here every Sunday morning for brunch. Great staff and foot ok for breakfast, nothing great. But then on Sunday they hired a new waitress and her attitude to us made us stop coming here. One Sunday this waitress took our order and forgot to bring the ticket the kitchen. For over 45 mins we watched people around us eat and leave. This waitress not once stopped at our table to see what was going on. We finally left a walked over to the waitress and asked what was up. Her reply, it is coming. After we went back to the table, waiting 20 more mins and saw even more people eat and leave who were there after us. So we left a few dollars on the table for the coffee and left. Haven’t been back since.

I’m not sure how it took me 3 years of living in Stoughton to discover the Beantown Diner, but I’m happy I finally did. My husband and I went in for breakfast on Monday(MLK Day) and though it was crowded and service was a bit slow based on how busy they were, I was very happy with the experience and would definitely go back. Their prices are great, food is tasty and not super greasy or gross like diners can be, and the place is good-sized. For breakfast, I had a veggie omelet and my husband had a combo with eggs, sausage, toast and pancakes. My omelet was perfect and packed with veggies and cheese… yummy! I also sneaked a bite of my husband’s pancakes because they looked fluffy and perfectly cooked… which they were. I might be tempted to get those the next time I go. The best part? There’s PARKING. Plenty of it. For those of you like me who frequent Zachary’s, you understand why this is important. We’ll see which place I choose once Zachary’s re-opens in the new location… but Beantown is a strong contender!

I stopped in for a turkey sandwich with a friend. We split the sandwich. It was good. We had the gobbler sandwich, which was fresh turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a bulkie roll. It was a decent size and cost about $ 7.99. It came with one side of either cole slaw, potato salad or chips. We got an extra side since we were splitting the sandwich, and had cole slaw and potato salad both. The cole slaw was creamy and quite good. The potato salad wasn’t bad, but it was very relish-y. Not my favorite, but certainly better than the stuff you get at the grocery store deli. The Beantown diner is a great little place for a decent sandwich. You wont be blown away, but I doubt you will be disappointed, either. It’s reasonably fast for a sit down place and it was certainly clean. I really can’t think of a better place in Stoughton for a deli sandwich.

Tried the Beantown with my son for breakfast today. Located in a strip mall we have passed by many time and finally decided to give it a try. It was packed and they almost had as many takeout customers as those at tables. Right away you get a good vibe and can tell it is family oriented with everything(breakfast, lunch and dinner) cooked from scratch. Counter service was a little slow but in all fairness the place was a very hectic. I had the homemade corn beef hash and eggs and my son had the Bean Town Bomb omelet. I have had better hash but my sons omelet was packed… I am thinking a little pricey for breakfast but certainly worth the try and we will add it to our list of good breakfast spots in the area.

I’d like to preface this review by saying that my fiancé and I used to come to the Beantown Diner all the time. Almost once every weekend for awhile. We loved it here. The Beantown Diner lost a lot of respect in our book the last time we went. We stepped in and waited for a seat(the entire restaurant was full, there were no open tables). At least three waitresses told us «take a seat wherever you’d like.» There were no seats. When the third waitress told us to take a seat yet again, my fiancé simply said«I don’t see any that are open» to which we both got a «ugh, whatever» pissed off look before waitress number three stormed off. That was enough for us. No place should treat their customers like that. Great food, but after being treated like a piece of trash I don’t know if we’ll be returning anytime soon.

Great breakfast spot. Less crowded, noisy, and surly than Zachary’s, with more parking. Much cheerier than the tragically grim Peppercorn’s on Pearl St. It’s exactly what a diner should be: Great prices, a friendly but unobtrusive vibe and perfectly-cooked eggs. Fresh garnishes and great coffee show an attention to detail that a lot of bacon-and-eggs places skip. The tables and flatware are clean, the inside is sunny and casual, and you don’t walk out feeling sick from grease or questionable food-handling. The homefries are only okay– they have a great seasoning mix, but are often not crispy all the way around.
