Mr. Chef’s

Very surprised to find this little Chinese food restaurant in Stoughton. We dined in — the restaurant is clean and very accommodating to our large party of 7 (4 of which were small children). The food came out quickly and was delicious! We tried the vegetable lo mein, general tso’s chicken, scallion pancakes, and the thai spicy fried rice.

This place is actually a pretty big, the workers are very friendly and attentive. They have buffet on the weekdays from 1130−230pm. The food is okay, nothing really extraordinary, it’s more like a typical Americanize Chinese restaurant.

We’ve ordered here many times. The orders are hardly ever ready for pick-​up when we arrive. so frustrating from a Chinese restaurant. The food and prices are decent, probably the best Chinese food in the area. But the portions are inconsistent.

Volcano maki is must try! The seafood hot sour soup is yummy. The staffs are nice and friendly. Overall experience is good.

Small but nicely done for a sit down Chinese/​Japanese dining experience.
The staff is friendly all around. Food is presented in a high quality as well as being very delicious.
I personally recommend the following
General Tso Chicken
Egg Rolls (to die for!)
Their entire Sushi menu

Oh Mr Chef, I ha such high expectations based on your reviews and some personal recommendations. Unfortunately I was disappointed.
I will preface though that Mr Chefs’s service is actually very good, where they fell short was flavor. I called for take out tonight to avoid the bitter cold, and felt welcomed by the very kind and sweet girl who answered the phone. She was pleasant, made me feel important and answered all of my questions. She also told me that my take out order was going to be about 35 minutes when in fact it was only about 20. (Points! especially for a Friday night.)
The food however was not as high ranking as the pleasant staff! I ordered the beef fried rice (not bad), Sweet and Sour Soup (flavorless and far from spicy), Sweet potato tempura (ehhhhhh) and Peking Ravioli (On their suggestion, but also lacking in flavor)
I actually feel bad b/​c with the exception of the poor food, they did make the experience quite nice. But with the less than flavor food, I have to give this one a 2 star which covers the great staff, and quick delivery.

This is my favorite Chinese food! We come up all the way from the Cape to eat it! I haven’t ordered anything on the menu that hasn’t been a hit. My husband loves the udong with tempura. He says it’s the best Asian food we’ve had since we’ve moved here from Korea.
The waitstaff is always friendly and they go above and beyond to keep customers happy. The hot tea is delicious and they keep your cup full and warmed up.

I took one of my Girlfriend’s here for a post bday lunch. We split cold sake, crab ragoon, scallion pancakes, volcano sushi with crab meat on top & fried green tea ice cream for $ 50.29. Everything was very very good.
It’s a little far from my house, but if you live in the area its worth the trip. There was only one other couple in there when we went (Sunday 4pm).
The soothing water sculpture relaxed me. Waiter was cool with pierced ears & spiked hair.

Terrible food. Terrible service. Take it from an Asian person that eats asian food since birth. Sushi there is not fresh and it takes them so long for them to make it. My bf and I went there to eat lunch. No one else is eating in the restaurant. Why didn’t we walk out? Our fault. We ordered. Waitress has a sour attitude. Sushi takes 30 min to get the table. Mind you it’s only one roll and sashimi (SLICED raw fish). Not even that but the sushi chef was eating his food. And wouldn’t start preparing our food without finishing his meal. Talk about service. They also gave me hot jasmine rice with my sushi.
