Went on taco Tuesday. Chicken tacos were dried and old and the lady working put barely any of the toppings on.Dissatisfied. Through them out after 2 bites. Nothing was good about this place. I should have known by the way the meats sitting there looked.

I eat here once a week minimum on my lunch break. I have been coming to Roxanne’s for over 2 years and haven’t stopped. I started with tacos, taco Tuesdays are great for anyone on a budget, but have since moved on to burrito bowls. The ingredients offer a good variety and the food is prepared right in front of you so it’s fresh and doesn’t feel like fast food. I see people here in other Unilocal reviews have said the food is bland, and I must disagree. But I think this depends heavily on how you order, so I could see how people might leave such a review. For example, if you order meet, rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and medium salsa it is good for what it is, but I personally would find that«what it is» is bland. This is a stereo typical order I see often in line and I think to myself, these people are missing out. Here’s why: Roxanne’s has lime, radish, and cilantro available as toppings, but you need to ask since they are stored below the counter. To further spice it up try the hot salsa, it is hot, but also has a ton of flavor. Try their other sauces, I’m partial to their BBQ-which is custom spicy tangy mix, tomatillo salsa, and chipotle sour cream. Also, if you want guacamole get it on the side or it can make your whole burrito/taco/bowl meal taste like avocado and you miss the subtle flavor from the meat and seasonings. If you experiment between the additional toppings and sauces I think it will be close to impossible to call you meal«bland». If you want something different/better than the other places you need to order different/better. Basically it’s all in the order. If you order boring it will taste boring and vice versa. I find there are a ton of options available at Roxanne’s to keep things interesting and full of flavor. The real reason I return every week, the staple, is the hot salsa. Roxanne’s makes a very unique salsa that is not overly tomato based, and there is a combo of hot chiles, lime, garlic, just the right amount of tomato, and cilantro I can’t find anywhere else. The only downside is that the excellence of this salsa greatly depends on who prepares it. Most of the time it’s excellent but I have had a few instances where it was sub-par, seeming diluted or overly tomato based with less spice and flavor. A rule of thumb I have developed is, if it has a slight green tint to it and looks thick, it’s going to be good. If it’s more red orange and thin I don’t get my hopes up. The lack of a 5th star comes from 2 factors. The first is that the guacamole, though tasty, does seem steep at $ 2.00 and I usually pass because of the price. The second and more important reason for me, is inconsistency. There have been a few occasions where the salsa was, as I said earlier, «subpar» or the tortilla chips seem half full etc… I think it usually happens around new hires and/or if different people start preparing different things. In short, I think they could benefit from some standardization and better training to make sure all employees do things the same. Overall I find it a delight each week, and I am rarely disappointed, though it has happened on occasion. I am a regular and wanted to let people know about Roxanne’s and perhaps how to add variety to their order if they found their experience lack luster. I know there are similar places like big chains etc… However I find their flavors and set up «safe»(appealing to the least common denominator as big chains do). Roxanne’s does offer«safe» choices but in addition to them you can get creative with their sauces and toppings not offered at the other places. At Roxanne’s I have found flavor combinations I can’t find anywhere else and that keeps me going back.

Grumpy young guy working at the counter was the first warning sign. After spending nearly $ 8 on two small tacos(including the extra they charge for the toppings), I left disappointed. Meat was bland and did not have much seasoning-if any at all. The corn tortillas were good but not good enough to make up for the boring tacos. #mexicanfoodfail

I have eaten here multiple times and never had a bad experience. Taco Tuesday is a good deal. My favorite is the bowls. The only drawback is that they overcharge for guacamole.

Don’t waste your time or money! Worst food, most miserable and unpleasant workers I’ve ever encountered. Needless to say about the horrible service received. I can’t say enough awful things to even begin to sum up my feelings about this dump. Never again… Make sure you tell your friends!!!

I’m from southern California where among a lot of different ethnic foods you can get, Mexican food is big among them. I had high hopes for this place that it would be authentic but it isn’t. Not to say it is bad, if you think Chipotle is good then you would probably like this place. They prepare your food in front of you and it pretty much looks like Chipotle and the options they give are very much similar. Their hottest sauce was good though and flavorful. I personally do not care for Chipotle so I probably would not return here but if you like that style food then it is really good. I would say this is more Tex-Mex than anything like a fancier Taco Bell. The service is decent, they took my order correctly and are competent enough. A little too pricey for my blood though, at almost $ 8 for a «carne asada» burrito, $ 2 for guacamole(lmao) and $ 2 for a soda, I’ll skip the guacamole and get an Arizona tea from a gas station.

Food is always great, the service is always great as well. Fast, friendly, and correct. They are one of the few take out places around that do it right.

This place was ok. Food treated good… But not as fresh as it should. Service was a few kids that didn’t seem to care. I’ll try again after some time.

Love this place! Food is amazing. Always get my orders perfect! And when I call ahead it always within 10 – 15 mins ready after words. The only thing is the staff. Sometimes they don’t know where /how to do things. seems like they hire young kids and just throw them into the mix? BUT the place is great– just need some better customer service. Overall a great place to eat!

Pros = + GAUC — delish. But at $ 2.00 for a side of it — please make sure to fill the small container! Very tasty though. + Prices — IMO, very fair. Me + plus one got dinner and our own guacamole sides and rang in at just over $ 20. Cons = — It’s not very different from Chipotle — and has less options. — Food was only luke warm right after being served. Overall, the«A-OK,» describes our experience pretty well. I wouldn’t say don’t go, but I would say don’t go out of your way.

Hello everyone I give this place the least amount of stars possible they have very bad customer service, the place is tiny, the food is terrible and there was definitely a cockroach on the counter when he was making our burritos. Not trying to be rude I love food but stay away from this place, I had a stomach ache for three days after I ate there.

It had been a few years since our last visit, so my wife and I figured we should give Roxanne’s another shot. Unfortunately, not much has changed. My wife and I each got a burrito and a drink, and we split a side order of chips and salsa. Total cost? $ 28!!! I’m sorry, I love Mexican food but this is outrageous. The burritos were loaded up and tasted pretty good, but I still can’t justify coming here frequently given how expensive their food is. For half the cost you could get something just as good and fresh from Chipotle. I’m all about supporting local businesses and will frequent them as often as I can over chains, but I just feel taken advantage of while eating here. Even more distressing is the lack of prices on their menu board. That concerns me given the sticker shock you are bound to have when you order a meal here. Sorry Roxanne’s, I think this is it for us.

3.5 stars, mostly on the strength of excellent carnitas tacos. I did mine simply with lime, cilantro, onion, hot sauce, and a side of guac(velvety good yet bland flavors). The corn tortilla was a nice surprise as well: nice texture, good quality ingredients. Also had a steak quesadilla which was a bit over cooked yet tasty. Their website advertises Sonoran hot dogs, and I was pretty pissed when I got there and found them no longer on the menu. I agree with those reviewers who have commented on the uneven service. I’ve been in restaurants for a very long time, and the main ereason for Roxanne’s service issues is the kitchen space. Each person needs to have their role and stick to it without moving around. They try, but it doesn’t work. They end up in each other’s faces, and this causes a general lack of organization in the order process. What Roxanne’s needs is a larger space and some harder training of its employees. I’m sympathetic, though, to the workers and management. It’s clear that working here is a pressure cooker. Patience on the part of the customer is highly recommended. Prices here are somewhere between reasonable and $.50 too expensive, but i can let that pass because the carnitas tacos are good. Parking here sucks because of the massive speed bumps in the Cobb’s Corner lot.

I moved to Canton a few months ago and stumbled on this place because I heard about Taco Tuesday. Now the best taco I have had was in Dallas at Fuel City Taco, which were authentic and cheap. This is a close rival, which is saying a lot! I could eat here once a week!

This place was alot better a few years ago. Stopped their for lunch twice and it was okay. The first time… over priced and my last trip their was terrible… hardly any meat. Kid put the wrong stuff and kept messing it up. It was expensive. For the quality of the food. No restrooms. Parking was terrible.

Delicious! Stopped in with two of my friends. One had a burrito, the other had two beef tacos and I had chicken quesidilla! Everything was delicious! The man behind the counter was super friendly and everything was fresh! I’d definitely go back in a heartbeat! My quesadilla and a drink was about $ 10.00.just about the same amount as Chipolte or Qdoba! So can’t beat it!

Our office goes to Roxanne’s almost weekly for«Taco Tuesday». Recently though they raised the price of the taco’s and started skimping on the portions as well as started limiting how many you can order. We used to send one person to order for the office, now it takes three or four people to go so we can get our food. Also, the bowls are way over priced in comparison to a Chipolte for size and quality. If I’m going to pay $ 7.50 for a lunch bowl, no drink, I want to be full and satisfied! I don’t want to have a bowl that is less than ½ full, 5 shreds of lettuce and I walk away needing to stop by Quick Stop to grab a snack before going back to work. The service is very dependent upon whom is working. If the wrong person is behind the counter, you get the typical snotty New England service I’ve come to learn is the norm out here. The kind where they couldn’t care less if you ate there or not. But, there are a couple people who actually smile, interact with you and are rather pleasant. The taste and quality of food is decent for what is considered«Authentic» Mexican food on the East Coast. They do make their own salsa’s and grill the corn for the corn salsa and get an «A» for effort, but«C» for execution and overall quality and a «D» for service. Although Mexican fare is my favorite food and would eat it every meal, lately I vote against Roxannes’s when we are deciding where to grab lunch. I like to feel like my business matters. That is not the feeling you get from Roxanne’s.

I’ve never tried the tacos here before but I have come for the burritos. Overall, I think their burritos are very good and could possibly give a place like Anna’s a run for her money. I usually get the carne asada burrito, which has tender and flavorful steak. The ingredients tasted fresh, including the rather chunky guacamole. The burrito is wrapped nicely and there’s no excess liquid. What prevents me from giving Roxanne’s a higher grade is its service. The last time I visited, I ordered my food and was asked by a lady whether I wanted to dine-in or take-out. I clearly stated I wanted take-out. After the food was made up, It was put in a plastic basket. I told her that I stated I wanted take-out. She sarcastically responded, «Oh, so you changed your mind?» I replied in the negative but didn’t speak any further. I haven’t really been inclined to come back since. It’s a bit out-of-my-way, so there’s even less incentive. And I’ve found my Mexican fix elsewhere…

Mexican is my favorite type of food. Down where I live on the South Shore there are very limited options(and I think I have tried them all). This place is close to work and I am a fan. The food is good, plain and simple. Prepared there, fresh ingredients, good salsas. I have not had a bad meal there yet. Had burritos, tacos and tried their Sonoran Dog. Co-workers have had their«bare» burrito(burrito ingredients over salad) and told me it was very good. It does quick Mexican food right. If you are trying to compare it to an Acapulcos or Plaza Azteca, this is not them. This is a hole in the wall place that serves up good quick eats at a reasonable price. I know folks have knocked the portion size for the price but I think most folks have been spoiled by the 99 cent or $ 1.50 tacos at Taco Bell.(I am no hater of the Bell, but when I am in the area, I choose Roxanne’s). Their burritos are comparably priced to a Moe’s or Chipotle with the same quality, in my opinion. The Mexican Cokes are a nice touch, good little sugar rush. Give them a shot.

I mean, this is no Anna’s taqueria, lets get that staight. Not bad for a little suburban joint. Guac is absolutely delicious!!! The chicken burrito i had kind of lacked flavor. It seemed a little dry, but throwing hot sauce on it definitely helps out. Cute little space. Too crammed for me to eat in, but i’ll get takeout again.
