Sadly, they have closed. For a while they continued having a take-out menu after closing their dining room, but now they have completely closed all service.

Love love love but now they are only doing take out sadly. Dining room will be missed. Regardless the food is excellent. Especially the chicken parm. And the chicken ripeneo,(chicken with fig and gorgonzola) and salads great.

Per my daughter, the future food critic: «great food and great service… the linguini and red clam sauce is fabulous. If you are in Vermont near Smugglers Notch and want great Italian food, this is the right place»

Amazing. Best Italian food in Stowe. Service couldn’t be better, food is excellent. First class in everyway.

The food here wouldn’t even pass for Italian food in a remote South American village. What a terrible experience. Service was extremely slow, calamari was chewy, bready, and had no flavor and we ended up sending it back. It took over an hour before our meals got to the table and they were not good. I got a veal dish which had a piece of raw undercooked veal in it… Thank goodness I realized this before I swallowed! The capellini pasta was very mushy and overcooked, definitely not al dente. The saltimbocca sauce was super sweet and the veal was covered with slices of deli cheese. My girlfriend’s chicken ripieno was slightly better than my veal, but neither one of us took more than a few bites of our entrees. Maybe it is because I come from an Italian family or because I eat great Italian in Boston where I live, but this place was a huge disappointment. I suggest you look elsewhere for dinner options while visiting Stowe.

The food here is really good. Especially the stuffed chicken breast w/gargonzola cheese and figs. Service is attentive. The breadsticks which have a strong garlic flavor w/fresh garlic are good but could use some salt. Not alot of great places to eat in Stowe, especially during the slower season, but this would be a good place to go. Look for a coupon which we used. A good deal.

Always 5 stars here at Foxfire. I’ve eaten here many times during the 18 years i’ve lived in the area and never had a bad meal. We always leave satisfied and impressed. The food is great and the service is good. The atmosphere is comfortable. Recommended!

Had a very good dinner here a few nights ago. Nice old dining room and good service. I’ve eaten here many times over the last 20 years and have not been disappointed.

When the tourism conditions in Stowe are good, you definitely want to make a reservation here, because this place is hoppin’ with lots of people.(This year the tourist season was pretty rough — and not a lot of people were there when I went in December right after Christmas.) I think locals generally think this is a good restaurant — I’ve been given gift certificates here a few times from people who live in Burlington — and I’d agree that it’s generally better than your average tourist rip-off Italian joint(cough * some places on Hanover St. in Boston’s North End * cough * cough). However, I find that some of the sauces they use are kinda heavy, and I usually walk out feeling far more stuffed than I really want to be. The bread here is pretty fantastic though — it’s almost always fresh out of the oven, covered in garlic and olive oil. Mmm. I would give this place a 3.5 stars, but I’m rounding it down to 3 because I just don’t feel enthusiastic enough about it to give it 4 stars. I have good meals here, but nothing that makes me think YUUUUUUUMTHATWASAWWWWWWWWESOME. Maybe because it’s invariably heavy enough that I just want to pass out afterwards.
