I have been to this location a number of times and have had very mixed experiences. I was particularly displeased with the service I received today. I made a carry out order for lunch for one(singular) hibachi chicken entrée. The man I dealt with on the phone seemed very confused throughout the process, for reasons unbeknownst to me, so I confirmed at the end of my conversation that I was ordering one hibachi chicken entrée with salad instead of soup. He said that he understood and told me my food would be ready in 30 minutes. I came within 20 minutes(and of course my food was stone cold when I opened it, a regular occurrence here). When I got to the restaurant the woman working at the desk rang me up for two orders of chicken. When I explained to her that I was clear that I only ordered one she blankly stared at me. After she called over the man in charge of phone orders and I had the two of them blankly staring at me I figured it would just be easier to just buy both and make two sub-par meals out of the experience. Moral of the story, this location needs to seriously reevaluate how they train their staff. The only reliable, well-mannered staff member I have seen is the waiter Nick who works in the downstairs lounge. I am done with this location, there are far better restaurants in the area for hibachi and sushi that are way less of a hassle.

A very disappointing experience. We’re from Chicago and had frequented Benihanas many times. When we saw this Benihana, we were looking forward to an experience like our previous visits. I found it very disappointing. We were seated quickly. However, we waited at the table for an extremely long time. We arrived just after the restaurant opened for lunch(noon) and didn’t get out until after 2. By the time our food came, we had to rush to eat it because we had things to do. The food was adequate but nothing great. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and, even though I have to return to the area, I won’t return to the restaurant.

Had a super time for lunch at the hibachi grille upstairs. Great service, good and view. A little cold inside as needed for the grills. Best view of this type of Restaurant in the area.

Always have an awesome time with my family here, the hibachi shrimp is life changing and the cooking performance amazes me every time. It’s a cool place for any holiday or date and the garden behind the restaurant is a beautiful place for pictures!

One of our preferred local restaurants. We visited again recently and enjoyed an excellent meal, prepared by chef Ariel, ably supported by a very efficient and personable hostess, Danielle. An excellent evening !

It’s Benihana… nice location. Good view. If you’ve been to one, you’ve been to all is my opinion. Not a date place.

No wifi — The food was very good and fresh. The service was very good. HOWEVER, They have no wifi and the reason given was that management does no want employees to use wifi.

The place has gotten worse over the years. I used to love going there for special occasions. The last time I went was the 1st time I’ve been truly disappointed though. The waitress we had was named Po-Har and you could easily tell right away English was not her 1st language(which was fine) until she was rude to us on my birthday dinner. She was very inattentive to our beverage needs, we actually had to ask other servers to get her to come over to our table for refills. She insisted we order more expensive dishes to get«better value». After telling her several times we did not like seafood and did not want shrimp with our meal, she said«oh no I did not ask about shrimp» and what do you know? She never conveyed it to the chef and he tried to serve us shrimp, what a waste. She did not want to sing for my birthday until being told by a co-worker that she had to, and insisted several times we «make sure we leave tip here!» Your tip is based off of your service and should not be expected if you provide poor service. Quite frankly it is actually rude to overly insist upon it, it made me feel like I was at a Chinese take out restaurant, not a hibachi.

What can I say about my last experience at this Benihana? The food was good, service horrendous. Our«waitress» Tia was nothing short of a joke. We came here for lunch for my boyfriends birthday. When we first entered, the hostess asked if it was a special occasion and we stated it was his birthday. After sitting down, the waitress mentioned it was his birthday and we confirmed. After ordering lunch, two hibachi, one a lunch boat plus a sushi appetizer, we we brought onion soup, even though the menu Clearly stated miso. My mom then asked for the miso instead of the onion(especially because downstairs, miso is always served with the lunch boat), our«waitress» then proceeded to argue with my mom that the miso is made downstairs not upstairs, and(I kid you not) said it’s too much work to go get the correct soup… even though we did order a sushi appetizer and she had to go downstairs anyways to get it… I guess common sense is lacking because I would’ve killed two birds with one stone and get both at the same time. What a strange concept… working when you get up and go to your job… After lunch was excellently prepared and lunch was winding down, the«waitress» asked if we needed anything else and dropped the check. What? The table the just left had a birthday with the singing and picture… I guess Tia couldn’t be bothered with my boyfriends birthday, which was the only reason we went there that day. So we went downstairs to talk to the manager or hostess. We went downstairs and no one was there. We waited and watch a male waiter go from downstairs to upstairs back downstairs and on his way back upstairs, we had to stop him and ask for the hostess(because asking people waiting in the lobby if they need anything is too much work, but at least he was traversing the stairs to give his people great service). He did thankfully get the hostess, and we tell her that our«waitress» did nothing of my boyfriends birthday. She was shocked and said I told her about it and we know she did because it was mentioned previous by the«waitress». She then tried to make it better by offering appetizer next time we came in, but we only wanted the picture. Instead of her taking it, she said she was going to get the CRAPPY«waitress» we had to come down and take it. Uh… no thanks… why would we want that when we knew she couldn’t be bothered to go downstairs to do her job?

We have been going to the location in Scottsdale Arizona for many years. We have always had a wonderful time there with customer service being excellent. Sadly, last night at this location we had a terrible time. Our chef was not very personable and our waitress brought us to go boxes as soon as we got our meal. We felt rushed. Before we even finished our dinner she came to ask also if we would like dessert. The restaurant was not very busy so it was not as if they needed our table right away. There were many empty tables there. It was a disappointment because it was the first time one of our granddaughters had ever been there. We promised her we would take her to the location and Scottsdale when we got back to Arizona. We will not be wasting our money at this location again.

Had an early dinner today. The food was good and the chef did not over cook things. The drinks are rather pricey. The waitress was very attentive. One down side is the don’t de-vein their shrimp. This is something they should do to avoid affecting the shrimp’s clean taste.

We usually come for the sushi happy hour in the lounge. Even when it’s wicked busy the sushi and other items come out fairly quickly. I have been to a few benihana’s for their happy hour and this location is the best. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The staff below is great even when it’s super chaotic. I was also gifted a «be the chef» for Christmas 2 years back and it was a fantastic experience at this Benihana.

It was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Came here for a birthday dinner(not mine, lol) and was informed that we had to wait for our table to be ready in fifteen minutes which we were fine with because my guests and I headed towards the bar. This part I just wanted to complain a little. There weren’t that many people at the bar and the bartender who was working behind the counter looked flustered, like he had so many orders to finish and this is the first time that I had to wait for a long time to place a drink order. I mean, really. I asked for an order twice and it never came with my drink so then I just ordered it when we were seated at the table. The waitress was friendly and had a bubbly personality. We were well taken care of and the food was surprisingly good. The fried rice is not phenomenal but it’s flavorful and it’s nothing but fried rice. The chef was attentive to our orders and the way we wanted our meats to be cooked on the teppan table. They were closing up towards the end and I noticed that my guests and I were the last, aside from the staff and chef, in the restaurant but the staff let us take our time to finish eating and packing which I felt was respectful and sweet. My order consisted of the Emperor’s Salad with additional steak pieces. The salad comes in a large elongated bowl with lettuce, fresh avocado, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, raw onions, tomatoes(sliced like a four-petaled flower), grapefruit, and broccoli. This salad looks so much better than the standard salad that they serve you with the mushroom clear soup. With the salad, I was supposed to get an onion soup, shrimp appetizer, choice of brown, white, or fried rice, and hot Japanese green tea. The only thing that I didn’t get from this was the onion soup unless it was the clear, mushroom soup then it sucked because there wasn’t any onions in it. The steak was well cooked: rare; tender, juicy, and chewy. Really good. It is really just like any other hibachi/teppan restaurant. Nothing special, you’re not missing much, to be honest however the decorations, interior design, and artwork hanging all around the restaurant is well done.

Enjoyed the food, everything was fresh and tasted good. Chef was good at listening to custom orders. Only downside would be they had the tables crammed so close together I had to get up a couple of times to alloy the chef egress. Typical atmosphere you would expect at a Japanese hibachi style restaurant.

I don’t get it. Finally went here after many people telling me I have to go and do the hibachi. Maybe it was considered a nice place back in the day but I just wasn’t that impressed. It was too bright, loud, the floor was dirty, the table was sticky. Must be the same décor from the 1980’s. There was an old vacuum sitting right behind me against the wall that a staff member would periodically grab then put back. The place is multileveled so while you’re sitting waiting for a table on the second level, you get to watch, and try to stay out of the way of, bussers carrying dirty dishes from level 1 up to level 3. The food was ok. A little bland for my taste but the chef is cooking for the whole table. The servings end up being kind of small by American standards but I didn’t mind that. You don’t leave feeling gross. However, if you are paying approximately $ 25 – 40 per entrée, then extra for the fried rice that should be included in the entrée, you can’t help but feel a little slighted. I get it though you are paying for the show, BUT, they are a busy place and have to be making a killing. CLEANTHEPLACEUP. UPDATEIT. STOPTHENICKELANDDIMING. HAVESOMEPRIDE. For that kind of money, I’ll go elsewhere.

Came here with my godson on Saturday. We were looking for a nice place on the water. I live in Fort Lauderdale so we just took my car and drove. It was around 2pm, so it was not busy at all. The host at the front counter was kind of a jerk and didn’t say hello, so that was a great first impression. At the LEAST greet your guests, isn’t that your one job? And then when I asked if they had outside seating, he said no. So I asked, okay, something by the window then? And he handed the menus to the nicer guy dressed in all black and didn’t say anything else. I’d never been there, so I didn’t realize most of the hibachi seating is by the window. You can’t make this up. Everything else from there on was perfect. Nicholas was our server and he was so attentive. I asked him if I could do the duo lunch special and upgrade the beef to filet Mignon, and he immediately told me no problem, and that he’d find out the up-charge cost. It didn’t matter to me, but it was nice of him to go out of his way. The drinks were refilled in a timely fashion. My godson is one of those 17 year olds whose appetite can’t be satiated so he was obnoxiously thirsty. The food was great, Samuel was our chef. He was amicable and tried to crack the typical hibachi chef jokes during his routine. Everything came to $ 60 with the lunch special. Remember, we both got the filet upcharge and two sodas. It’s worth it. Everything was cooked perfectly, and although I stand behind the white sauce, I enjoyed the mustard sauce they used in its place. The other exciting thing I should mention is that the Stuart Air Show was going on during our lunch, so we had a perfect view! If you’re avoiding the big crowds, can’t afford a boat, and want to enjoy it nonetheless, come here :) I would come back here if Nick was our server again. Just lose that mean guy at the front.

RECOMMENDED: It’s Benihana. The food is consistent and the service is solid. We packed a table of 10 in on a busy summer Saturday night. It looked like most of the tables were full, which is a huge compliment for not being in season. Other than getting sat at the table where the staff stores the vacuum cleaner and floor sweeper, we had a great time. The staff did get a little pissy with us when we instructed them to please not store the cleaning gear at our table… Other than that, all in our party had a great time. Our server took good care of us. The wine list is great and those that drank the wine spoke very highly of it. The tepanyaki chef, Byron was very entertaining and he interacted with the kids well. He did a fine job of preparing our meals. SOLID experience and already looking forward to our next Benihana experience.

I am on the hunt for good sushi in Stuart. Benihana is a little bit of a drive but it has beautiful views and is worth it. My date and I ate in the packed lounge. It was a little cramped but it was clean and sleek looking. It is a bit of a hike to the bathroom from the lounge but views on the way to the bathroom were amazing and made it worth my time. As for the service I was getting a little worried since it took them forever to come over and then get us menus but once Tyrell asked us what we wanted he shifted into gear and was awesome. Tyrell our waiter kept the drinks coming, remembered and got everything we requested in a timely matter. I was even impressed by his honestly. He told me they ran out of clean glasses and he would have my drink to me in a second. And he DID have it to me in a second. Right on Tyrell! We ordered the White Peach Sake Sangria and we LOVED them. We had Beef Sashimi, Sashimi Ceviche, Las Vegas roll, Rainbow roll, Chili Shrimp roll and the Shrimp crunchy roll. Ok WOW that was a lot of food for two people but the rolls were a little small and we were very hungry. Cost was under $ 60 for everything, seems cheap to me. Just an FYI the Chili Shrimp roll is spicy! A long lasting spicy. We really enjoyed the food and I will be coming back. I hope we get Tyrell as our waiter next time. I added some photos don’t forget to check them out. Pictures are of a half eaten Chili Shrimp roll, the White Peach Sake Sangria and the beautiful sun setting out back.

overrated, inauthentic, POORSERVICE, and extremely overpriced. After you get your bill– you will wish you would’ve spent that money on a much better restaurant! i went with a large party(3 tables). each table was originally assigned a waiter/waitress but one waitress in particular got greedy and ensured she would be the ONLYONE to take care of all the tables. needless to say one table was attended to fairly well– the other two were practically ignored all night. i’ve never, ever, EVER had a waitress UPSELL so hard. if someone ordered a steak, she recommended the filet. if someone ordered a drink– she would convince you that it is super weak and you should make it a double. as everyone ordered, she shrugged her shoulders and said ‘fried rice ok?’. we all said yes, that was an upcharge. none of us would have minded, but DISCLOSE that it is NOT included. the bill came– nobodies was correct. after FINALLY, getting that squared away. there was a collective gasp as everyone realized that to ‘make it a double’ practically doubled your bill. a cocktail is $ 9. the extra shot of alcohol is $ 10!!!(making each drink $ 19). when the extra shot alone is MORE than the price of your drink– don’t you think you should mention that?! trust me, we’re not cheap people– we just all felt like we got hustled. the food was ok– but was cooked in stages. i’ve had hibachi before and always enjoyed my meal ‘somewhat’ together. this was awkward. after soup/salad, you were given a cup of rice. 10 min later you were given a plate of zucchini. 5 min. later two shrimp. 10 min. later whatever meat you ordered. finally, to top it off. at the very end. you were given a plate of onions, lol. who eats like that??? this place is not worth the money or deserving of your business. enjoy your night elsewhere!
