Service was terrible. I ordered a Kirin Light and the guy brought me a Corona Light, and he just never checked on us for drinks and didn’t seem to really care. 20 min wait each time I ordered a drink it was such a joke. Food was not that great, the rice was hard and chicken was dry. The cook was very entertaining and funny, he stole the show. I actually tipped him 5 bucks when he was done. Not sure I would go back, would rather drive to Benihannas.

We first started coming here when it first opened. We really enjoyed the hibachi experience and enjoyed coming on Saturday. After months of coming we noticed that the service felt rushed. When the restaurant first opened I bought a Groupon for the week day deal and never used it and I called prior to the expiration and the woman said we could still use the full value even if it was expired. After it was expired I finally used the groupon and I was told it would only be good for the amount paid for the Groupon. I explained that I called and the woman said it would still be good for the full value. Though Vincent did not honor that. During the holidays family came in and we went in during the evening for dinner. Let me tell you it was the worst experience ever. From the service down to the food. We had to ask for a refill and our drinks didn’t even come out until 30 minutes later. At that point we were done eating and just wanting to go. Our food was over cooked. And the hibachi experience was not up to par. Another time we came in with a friend during happy hour and our friend was not ordering anything from the happy hour and he was told he could not use the coupon because we ordered from the happy hour menu even though we were not sharing a bill. As the months went by we felt just rushed. And the service and quality of food kept going down. So, we came in a day after Damien’s birthday. The sushi was fishy and the fried rice was dry. I told Vincent Damien’s birthday was yesterday. He gave him this terrible dry excuse for a cake with runny whip cream. When we came in two days later I asked why he didn’t give Damien a birthday gift card? He said they only do it the day before your birthday or the day of. Then I said well that is funny because the girl next to us revived a card 3 days after her birthday. And I received a gc 2 days after my birthday last year. So, I asked why Damien didn’t receive a coupon? He said, «well, did he come in on his birthday or before?» And I said no but that hasn’t mattered before. And he said well, I’ll give you one but you can use it today. We came in at two and ordered what we always ordered right away but the hibachi guy didn’t come out for about 30 mins. While he was cooking he didn’t give us a show and told us we should come earlier. We told him we were there at 2PM and have been waiting for him to come out. He said oh, well, they didn’t tell me until just now. So, he rushed us through. Damien was a little upset about the service and Vincent said he wouldn’t take the 15 dollars off. And Damien said that had he gotten it the other day like he was suppose to it would have been used today. And he told said, «no, bro you can’t use it!» At that point Damien was infuriated with the lack of respect from this place and we left with literally a bad taste in our mouth and do not plan to come back and support this restaurant. A drastic change needs to occur if they want to compete the many other hibachi restaurants that offer better service and quality in the area.

So disappointed! We made 7:30 birthday reservations for 16 over a week in advance. When we checked in they said it would be about a 30 min wait due to people in front of us… Ok~ I said, though I did let them know we had 9:30 bowling rest also to make… They ended up sitting us at 8:40. 1 hour 10 min past reservation… While we all sat there soooooooo upset and feeling like the First part of the Birthday was ruined, we decided to finally leave and save the rest of the night! As a Business owner in martin county… that was the WORSTEXPERIENCE I’ve ever encountered!

Better than the local Benihana. The outside is modest with a rock people seem to like taking pictures next to. The inside is very nice, clean and modern. I had the Filet Mignon because I was not paying and it was delicious. Good portion size and a nice little show that will really impress your 5 year old, just keep your lousy kids away from me. Bring a group so you don’t awkwardly sit with strangers that you have to pretend you like. But if you do sit with strangers try to get them to pay the bill like you know them. It’s a real sweet deal when you dupe some bumpkin into paying for you. But honestly I would come back and pay my own paper money for a quality meal here. I would say the only thing they have going against them is they don’t have a nice waterfront view like Benihana; so, no majestic vista as a backdrop to woo your date.

Awesomely good food & service. Maybe probably my favorite Japanese restaurant. Everything was exceptional especially their tempura & fillet minion. But the prices just a little expensive. Will definitely come back for special occasions. Hibachi was smelling good too but we didn’t have that. A lot of birthday celebrations. Ait was full of people. Great place. Would rate it five star. Hope they will have more restaurants like this in PSL

Quick synopsis … Food pretty good average hibachi(sushi decent) … Chef Paul excellent…(good show)… Big big problems … 1) server basically took orders brought sushi and left barely saw him after that waiting for refills and more drinks 2) the queen was looking forward to tempura and boys wanted cheesecake because they were closing they didn’t even offer just brought bill to all three parties 3) while all three parties still eating and reviewing bill cleaning crew comes with two huge jugs of cleaning liquid and dumps on table and says just need to clean WHILEWEAREALLEATING inhaling cleaning fumes(JUSTHORRIBLYUNPROFESSIONAL) 4) after we ask for desserts we pay the bill. the server comes out and says we can not cook the tempura because the chef shut off grill(MAYBE he should have asked) then they had to credit the first charge and recharge us a second one minus the tempura(the manager wanted to give us a $ 4.25 gift card, my wife said NOWAYWEWILLNOTBEBACK) thought it would have been much easier to pay the cash refund… I had to sit there for like 15 minutes while him and chef figured it out … After I ran all these issues by manager, only thing manager said was sorry I will talk to them… While paying bill other two parties walked up and complained about cleaning products also Atmosphere was decent just HORRIBLEUNPROFESSIONALISM&INEXPERIENCEDMANAGEMENT in regards to customer service… poor service WILLNOTBEBACK ever and would not recommend … Make it worse we HAD A RESERVATION … Stayed seated waiting for 25 minutes for them to fill up table waiting for other guests and my family was 5

Just had my birthday lunch there yesterday along with 6 of my friends. We had the best time ever and Aldo our chef was great. The food is much better than Benihana and the service impeccable. I would recommend this place to everyone. The food was great, atmosphere wonderful and very, very clean.

The whole atmosphere is fun and entertaining, the chefs that cook at your grill are hilarious. The show is great especially for the kids and parties, the food is awesome and they give you alot. I have been there several times and its always awesome.

Overall we had a pretty great experience this past Friday and surprisingly, for the mount of rolls we ordered, we did not, I repeat, did not break the bank(but I’m sure we broke our diets!)! The sushi and rolls here are definitely well priced. The décor is very nice. Modern with a dash of glam. Our server(Jenna) was super pleasant and informative. She was also very quick on the water refills. The sushi rolls came out wicked fast. We ordered 4 to start(shrimp tempura, rainbow, crazy roll, and Alaskan roll) and they were a decent 8 piece size all on one beautifully arranged plate. Then we decided to go for 2 more rolls(dancing eel roll and spicy scallop), again, on one plate beautifully arranged… And since that wasn’t enough we finished off with one of their special rolls(golden dragon). This roll was pretty large and delicious. With a bit of a kick to it and a tasty mango sauce drizzled over it. Very good. They also have happy hour Monday through Thursday 4 – 7 I believe. However, like I said we ordered all of that with tax it was $ 59+ tax & tip. But wait, there’s more! They always post a $ 10 off $ 40 coup on Facebook so we got all of that sushi for $ 50 ish! It was delicious, fresh, beautifully plated, and great service all for $ 50 plus tax and tip. We will definitely be back for happy hour!

Some friends and I had a very nice dinner here. The food was delicious and we were thoroughly entertained by the chef as he prepared our meals in front of us. It was nice to be able to share our experience with the family sitting next to us who were celebrating a birthday. I would definitely recommend Fujiyama to my friends and Family and I look forward to returning.

Walking into the eating areas of this restaurant, one is first struck by the beautiful flooring. There is much ambiance here, and they can accommodate a single person, up to large groups. Went with a friend for lunch. The lunch menu, a bit limited, still has something for everyone. I will say, though, I felt a bit rushed by the waitress. Ugh! It isn’t crowded, and no one is waiting in line! Don’t rush me! Okay, finally ready to order, and the waitress says, «What do you want?» Okay, what happened to «May I help you?» So taken aback by her rudeness, I found myself at a loss for words(a true rarity). My companion smiled generously and placed his order. I finally decide to Oder, and chose the Shrimp Tempura Bento Box. The waitress then snatched the menu from me. Whoa! Woman, don’t snatch from me. That waitress was saved by my companion, who at that very moment asked for a soda. Ugh! Moving on, our food arrived. The sushi was missing from mine and the rice from my companion’s meal. Ms. Rude Waitress promised both would be out very shortly. They were. The food was De-Yummy! Included on my plate were four shrimp, one each, mushroom cap, sweet potato round, broccoli, calamari, all tempura fried! Additionally, there was white rice and sushi. I loved it! The food deserved a five star rating. Ms. Rude Waitress, however, brought the rating down to 3 stars.

Excellent! Me and the hubby got about 10 «shots» each when we went to celebrate a friends bday! Food was awesome and Plentiful enough to tak home and eat another meal! This is a great place for celebrations and just any good eats!

I was excited to try this restaurant but they failed miserably right at the start. We Were seated by the hostess right away and told them we were waiting for a friend. We had 2 kids with us. She came in 4 – 5 min later. That whole time no one acknowledged us.(we were directly in front of the sushi bar) our friend came and sat for another 12 – 13 min(not exaggerating either! checked the phone from the time she called in the parking lot) and NOONE ever came to the table. A family of 4 came in and were seated behind us and we’re served drinks so we left. At first we thought because they were busy they would get to us or we would have never say that long in the first place with out saying something but that was the final straw after the same waitress walked by us several times.

Good and bad. The veggie tempura was super soggy, and the grilled veggies were overcooked… Way too soft. Also, the sauce they use is mediocre at best. Another odd thing… They have redefined a timeless sushi classic… Philadelphia rolls are traditionally made with smoked salmon and cream cheese… Here, they make them with imitation crab and cream cheese. What??? They have a «different» name for Philadelphia rolls for whatever reason. Strange. Decent atmosphere overall. Wish the table grills were open at lunchtime though. On the bright side, they were super tolerant of my little one. That was great! Overall, I’d keep looking for a different Japanese steakhouse. GJ

Everything was great. Walked in with no reservation and seated immediately. Service was very impressive and quick. We have gone to Benihana many times and with a five year old it is very long from start to finish. Not here. Soup was good, salad dressing was better than Benihana. Loved our chef, as he was great for our son!
Seating is very good and you don’t have to wait to fill a table like Benihana. We will definitely return many more times!

A+++ My parents turned me onto this place after they moved to Rocky Pt. While Kaishin & Kazu will always be my favs in-town, FujiYama is simply closer, thus more convenient. It’s a busy place w/the hibachi side of the house, and the sushi bar is open with plenty of seating. They treat us like royalty, and the sushi/sashimi is always delish. They have the biggest & most creative rolls around… and the grilled ‘Hamachi rib cage’ is a must. Their Sake prices are higher than others but the Sushi/Sashimi is less, so price-wise its a wash. Cant wait to do the Habachi Grill soon :))
